My truck is all stock and I want to keep it stock but my actuator is always a problem if I get the 3d gen swap do I loose my exhaust brake and do I have to get a tuner for my truck for the mission actuator on the 3d gen ??
You will lose your stock exhaust brake, but we offer our Turbonator VGT which with the electronic version has exhaust braking. However, to remove the factory turbo, you will need a tuner that will allow you to run an aftermarket turbo.
@@dieselife6.459 I figured out 4.5 turns out is factory setting. But my truck was surging a bunch when merging on the freeway. I turned it to 6 turns out and it seems happy
Yes just a brief before and after. ua-cam.com/video/w0Ri0rfFpdo/v-deo.html I’ll be doing a full review soon. I had set the turbo to their default/calibration setting. But didn’t build boost… so I tried all the settings one weekend to find the best one for my truck. I didn’t fully appreciate the variability of these until I started seeing how different everyone’s settings were.
How well does the 467.7 third gen swap for with the 400 frame fit?? I had a 364.5 third gen swap on my old truck. Now looking for MORE power for my 2016 but still need to tow.
Not sure. Ats is a good company but we have no experience with their "vs stage 2 3000." I'm assuming that is their stock modified VGT replacement turbo you are asking about. If it is it a stock modifying turbo, it is not an apples to apples comparison and yes our Turbonator VGT would out perform because the Turbonator is a S300 (or S400) VGT turbo that is 100% made for performance applications. Whereas a stock modified VGT has bigger wheels, but is still utilizing the same OEM actuator, same OEM type internals/design and same sized small OEM housings. If you are merely looking for a stock modified VGT turbo, we have those as well. However, the Turbonator is a completely different beast that is made for performance and to overcome the weaknesses that plague the stock vgt turbo and cause it to go out. Whatever your goals are for your truck you have some good options. What is your truck's fueling like? Are you deleted or are you planning on keeping your emissions intact?
I installed the vgt on my s364 on my 2009 6.4 powerstroke. Love the different, truck is an animal, and sounds amazing. ua-cam.com/video/w0Ri0rfFpdo/v-deo.html here is a video if you have 6.4 questions leave me a comment.
Have the s369 Turbonator VGT on my 2011, made a huge difference!
I have the mechanical version 66mm. Love it
How does it sound with their manifold?
I know this videos old but did you install this and do head studs or you think it's fine stock ?
I have a 3rd Gen swap with a none VGT
Where would one be able to get the tune for this swap to work in a 2014?

What’s your exhaust set up? Muffler?
Where do you have your actuator set to? 4.5 turns out?
I did mine a full turn in to get the pressures where I wanted them. But I installed it on my 6.4 powerstroke

The 467.7 3rd gen swap fits great! Here is a video link with Dyno results for our 467.7 Turbonator: ua-cam.com/video/-yxGX0iXwX8/v-deo.html
Do you have to do anything to your trans
The only thing you need is to be previously deleted, and a tune. But we don’t offer any deletes or tuning.
How is this vs ats stage 2 they’re 3000
