  • Nick takes us on an evidence-based discussion of the limits of the stock HE351VE turbo by showing shaft speeds and drive:boost ratios as things got ugly.Next, the limit of the stock CP3 is explained along with an exploration of the capability of the stock injector limit, as high as 35,000 PSI!

Literally, everything I've been researching for the past 3 weeks summed up in 8 minutes. Perfect!

It would be interesting to see a video series of working limits on the older platforms. What are the HP/TQ torque limits on say an older CR 5.9/6.7, LBZ; keeping coolant and oil temps in check. Not peak 15s dyno numbers but what can you work the truck at until you run out of rope on the ability to cool the engine down.

I was hoping to see the twin kit also, just for comparison sake. Either way, awesome video with lots of good info. Thank you, Calibrated Power, for the info!

Put the 6.7 H.O. To the test!!!!! I will like to see the coolant lines to the turbo be put to the test. I’m looking to getting a H.O.

Hell ya Nick , thank you for putting so much effort into this for us. Would you consider doing the same thing for the 6.7 psd and your stealth turbo. I bought the stealth 67 and am excited to push it. You have done more for our industry than you get credit for. You deserve to be recognized for it.

Thanks for the kind words James! Next up is an LBZ with all of our turbos. They’re similar enough that I think it’ll parallel the 15-19 PSD but nothing officially in the docket for a 6.7 PSD on the engine Dyno yet ;). Just not enough hours in the day, man.

I would love to see numbers with a 2nd gen swap running an S468 with an 83 or 87 mm turbine. Also, what dumping the stock grid heater does and upgrading the intake.

Awesome! I love data. Let’s see those full load curves and numbers at the various rpms from 1300 to 3000rpm. How much does the 64 give up at 1300 vs the stock? Bound to be some.

Great video, very informative and to the point. Any chance you can make the same type of video for us l5p guys?

Thank you! Yes similar videos on the slotted for each platform we support. We’re doing a chassis Dyno version on the L5P in next couple months. L5P will be on the engine Dyno later in the year.

@Duramaxtuner will you be adding a compound set in the mix and what if you set the valve lash to the 5.9L setting? Awesome information you are putting out there.

I love the idea of a compound test. Unfortunately, I’ve got a lot of single turbos to get through first. Stay tuned!

@@nickpriegnitz5895 Awesome! During your testing have you seen higher backpressures, drive pressures and higher pre-turbo EGT's. When setting a 6.7L to 5.9L valve lash setting?

Can you guys make a video about your new tcm tuning for the as69rc. I'm highly considering it, I'm running an s364.5 sxe with 30% overs and on 37" tires with stock tcm tuning

Wish yall had a mach 2 i would definately slap one on the 5th gen but nobody makes anything like that so everyone resorts to a diet and manifold swap and s400

How did the stock lift pump do? Would you have benefited from an upgraded one?

A FASS lift pump was run for all of the testing. Continuous strong supply in the low side.
