- It never rains but it pours! last week my car decided to break a spring so after a mad dash that was repaired and this week the car decided it needed new brake pads so a quick trip to the motor factors was required. I also took the oppertunity to pop in to Screwfix to pick up my door stopper lol

There's 3 types of drivers I regularly come across on my commutes. You have the ones that just doddle about (usually they ate on their phones) then you get thd ones who see you in their rear view mirror and put thd foot down, god knows why they do that as its just an invite to blast past them and also you get the tits who see you behind them then they move out to the white line. Again that's just an invite to blast past them lol
Nice to see the Honda getting a bit thrash, still a nice sounding engine.
I remember when Screwfix started out, back then it was Screwfix Direct where it was all mail order, I used to use them all the time.
You just reminded me of my Aunt and Uncle, back in late 60,s and early 70,s they were a share holder in Pratts of Edinburgh, car sales and spare parts. In the early 70,s my uncle pulled out and opened a wee shop in Leith selling car parts called Brakeways, they got so busy they opened a second shop at Abbyhill. Few years later they opened more shops including one at Dalkeith. During the late 80,s my uncle developed MS and he ad difficulty getting around, so he sold up the business for Millions.

Cheers Dan, yes Screwfix Direct, I remember it well and also Brakeways! The Honda does sound great especially when you open it up and it's a godsend cutting through the giant car park called Edinburgh. Last nights commute was constant lane splitting. Traffic was standing in both lanes from Crewtoll to Barnton then from the Airport to Livi via the M8. It took me 40 mins to get home from Central. Had I taken the car I'd easily be looking at 1.5 hours!
@@BMCMOTOUK Ah yes you can't beat the bike. I'm the same with the KTM, it saves me hours of traveling and fun at the same time.
You just need to get a light set of water proofs and you can ride every day with exception of snow.. I would rather ride in the rain that deal with ques of traffic..

Indeed. I had to do the front spring last week and the front pads this week. It's also due a service so I'll get that done next. Fortunately I do all the work myself so it's only the price of parts I have to pay for
