  • e60 pillars are always peeling at the end of the pillar towards the dash. in this video i will show you how to remove the pillar and spray some adhesive. the adhesive i used i got from local automotive parts store. just give it a few sprays and be careful not to get over spray on the outside material. try not to get them in your fingers and smug glue on the material as well. easy to do and takes little time, get that pillar looking good again.

Thanks for making this video, I have a peeling C-pillar in my 2003 540i6 M-Sport. Slightly different removal process but I'm happy to see that gluing it back down works well. Those pillar trims are expensive to replace!

I bought a black interior, this helped get it off thanks. I dropped 2 clips down into the car so now i'm really not sure what to do about that. Seems they're gone forever now lol. I hope they don't rattle.

nice. I have the same problem on my driver side as well as both of the columns where the seat belt for the front seats come out. it is peeling pretty badly but hopefully I will take a look and see if it is as easy as you make it look. they say if you want to know how to do something come to look at UA-cam and what do you know there it is... lol
    thanks for posting

Removed the pillar this morning and of course it cracked at the holder located at window.
I think that I can either super glue it or use the two part catalyst / hardener glue that will hold it together enough to put it back in.
    Thanks for the video.

I think once it's back in, it's not like it's in an area that is going to move around.

glad i uploaded it in time for you to do yours. follow the video, and just be careful taking it out, dont want to break that plastic clip, but it seems strong so shouldnt' be easy to break. also use adhesive spray, clue might cause it to bleed through the other side of the material. goodluck

gtoguy71 i havnt run into the issue of that, i would try a upholstery store, i remember seeing them sell this syringe thing thing that you can inject glue from the outside and glue it back

hey buddy loved your videos, had a quick question: My CBS numbers never change like I replaced my spark plugs and did a manual reset and it say 100000 km before replacing, while my brake pads say 26000 kms since I bought the car. Seems like they are static any ideas on how to fix it. Mine is a 2004 e60. My idrive also lacks some features than what I have seen in other cars, do i need a software upgrade maybe?

Would you happen to know a good place locally to purchase the fabric itself? I want to replace the fabric altogether. had cigarette burns from previous owner.
