I think it makes perfect sense that Heroes would get a remaster/remake before the Adventure games. Heroes isn't treated as the peak of gaming by Sonic fans as the Adventure games have, so they could use this opportunity to test the grounds and physics for an Adventure-esque game withour touching the actual games that would make people mad if barely inferior to the originals. Plus Heroes needs a modern port as it is stuck on old hardware.
I hope they tease a remaster of sonic heroes because I would buy that quickly

Tbh, I don’t really see it. A Heroes cutscene was shown on Tails Tube, but it’s only really being pointed out for being the most noticeable, despite there being Adventure, Generations, Riders, and entirely new artwork present there too. Don’t really see it as teasing Heroes specifically

Don't know about this because in that TailsTube section you can see sonic riders zero gravity footage as well as unleashed footage i think, besides the heroes footage. It could be a teaser (as that part of the sonic central was just weird if it wasn't a teaser), but don't know if it's necessarily heroes getting a remaster)
Its riders sa1 sa2 and generation + some fan art or official art I've never seen. Makes no sense why people somehow take this as a tease lol

Rail switch is actually pretty accurate, I think people don’t execute it well, you just have to press jump only after holding the desired direction, Heroes is janky ass hell do not get me wrong but at the very least that works properly.
I think either they should have it to where there is a separate button to press for rail switching like in Shadow the Hedgehog or make it like the boost games where you just move the control stick.
I've definitely died multiple times to leaping off the rail from doing exactly that. They just need to give it the system they used for Shadow The Hedgehog.
Replaying Sonic heroes with other characters again and again was actually fun

What I noticed is that in the background of tails-tube the sonic HEROS cut scenes looked more high defenition

In the fast friends ad that Sega posted majority of the Sonic clips they used near the end was Sonic Heroes which was bizarre when I first saw it. But now it might make sense
This is the Sonic game that I want to play the most, so I hope that it could get ported or something along those lines eventually. It’s fun to talk about, but I don’t know if it’ll actually happen since we had Sonic Colors: Ultimate as our last remaster, which as much as I loved that game, it did fail in reception from fans and some critics. If we do get a remaster, though, they should fix the “slippery” controls that everyone talks about and reorder the zones because all of the characters going through the zones in the same order can be really confusing to follow, story wise. Better yet, make that an option instead of it being forced onto the player, since people might prefer the original game’s zone order and the “slippery” controls. I would really like this port or what have you to happen, but I just don’t see it coming to fruition, unfortunately.

Its either a remaster or remake, no ports, since the game uses a engine that 1 is no longer supported nor exists anymore

its a good candidate for the best sonic game of all time, as it is even regarded to have the best 3d fast paced levels of all time
also, heroes has aged horrible. the controls are slippery, and you play the same stage over and over for teach team

also heroes is NOTHING compared to adventure
The only change that I would not agree is changing the level order for different teams. In Sonic 2, Sonic 3&K, Sonic advanced trilogy and Sonic Mania, all characters have the same level order and almost no one complains about it.
I also saw a Riders cutscene over in the Tails Tube sequence.
I agree with all the changes aside from being able to get the true ending without beating all the stories. That's the point of having g a multiple s yggy ory based progression system where each team ays a part in the final boss. Now, more unique stages for Teams Rose and Chaotix would be nice, while Chaotix can have a unique stage progression order while Team Rose follows Team Sonic's until the rival boss. Can have it so that they lose track of them

It’s pretty smart that they would remaster Heroes, because a ton of people played it when they were kids, so nostalgia would play a large factor in sales.
I mean I don't think so but would be perfect timing seeing how their trying to push the friends thing much as possible now
Worth noting that they showed Heroes at the end of the recent Fast Friends Forever commercial too, amidst what was otherwise exclusively recent Sonic games
As someone who hasn't gotten to play the games released during the early 2000s, I see this as an absolute win.
I really do hope Heroes gets ported or remastered as it was my intro to the series. I do have to agree that the game's biggest flaw is being too repetitive since while I did play with every team, most of my casual playthroughs were with Team Sonic
If they do I hope to God that they do something about the blatant repetition in this game. Four mandatory playthroughs and to collect the chaos emblems really drag this game down hard.

I saw a bit of a cutscene from Riders in that teaser, a Sonic Riders ramake with online multiplayer would be a massive money printer.
It may one day happen. I think they should do something similar to what they did with origins. Have a compilation set of Sonic adventure 1 and 2 along with heroes and maybe even Shadow the hedgehog. You can simply call it sonic adventure saga.
Leakers are indicating a new Sonic game in 2024. Maybe this is why Superstars was developed by Arzest to give Sonic Team a couple years to work on Sonic Heroes.

I'd much prefer a remake than a remaster in my opinion. But if they are going to remaster Heroes, that's fine. As long as they don't mess it up.
This is what I wish for a remake. I want to keep the concept of the story but bring each team a different location. So that it won't make it feel repetitive. Same for each campaign. Have each team start with different locations. For example:
Team Sonic starts at Seaside Hill
Team Dark starts at Grand Metropolis
So it won't make it feel repetitive. Even level design. The gameplay is alright, so keep it.
It's technically possible, with the "Remakes, and remasters" quote. Although if you look hard enough you can also see Sonic Riders in the background on tails tube, so with the same logic, riders will get a re-release as well.

1 hope they make a sonic heroes 2. New story, new characters, blaze, silver, trip, etc. I love the direction they took with dream team and superstars with playable numerous beloved characters

You can’t just remix the levels of a game in a remaster.
And playing only one team would defeat the entire purpose of the game, cutting 3/4s of the entire content, which is a crazy idea for a developer to agree to.

I've actually got a better idea on how to beat the game they should have it were you choose so for example if you don't want to get the chaos emeralds then just play through all 4 teams but if you just want to get to the last story by only playing as one single team then hunt for the chaos emeralds. I think that could add replay value
I'm highly doubtful of the remake/remaster angle, but a port makes sense! I would enjoy heroes on the Xbox series.
Though if a remaster were to happen, I would recommend changing certain level aesthetics, like time of day or color palette, much like in SA2 or in Sonic Mania's encore mode, but more varied.
A port makes sense if where not by the fact that the game uses a now descontinued engine aka renderware, is also with EA(aka using it would be expensive)
The same way sega could not use nintendo's rendering system with colors the game will have to be ported to a brand new engine, and like colors there a high chance of breaking the hole game
If they make a remaster or remake on sonic heroes then they should put a setting that says original audio or advanced audio for the music so if we don't like the new music that they will make then we can switch to the original audio.
I hope they’re remixed songs just like they remixed the songs in sonic colors ultimate
Also that game needs a button remapping, there's no way we are using the same button for rocket accel and lightspeed dash anymore
Best case it'll be similar to Sonic Colors Ultimate; Higher Resolution, High Resolution (and new) Textures, quality of life improvements, revamped menu, no lives, new skins/outfits/etc, remixed and original soundtrack, maybe a few gameplay tweaks and whatnot
Also, Sonic Heroes and Shadow The Hedgehog are available digitally on PS3 as PS2 classics, but they are only available in PAL regions
This would work, if not for the fact that at the top of that glitch Sonic Riders cutscenes are also shown (unless Sonic Riders is also getting a re-release???)
There's way more than those 2. You can clearly see sa1 sa2 and generations + some fan art of jet wearing a sonic hat & tails cooking. It wasn't a tease at all.

Honestly I’d prefer if Sega used remasters to polish older games to modern standards, rather than pushing their luck by adding new stuff to their critically acclaimed games.

If Heroes Remaster is turning out to be true, I would buy and play it in a heartbeat. PC and Switch version baby! As long as Blind Squirrel don't touch it. Preferred Panic Button or good developers who can do that.

I wanted to play Sonic Heroes for a long time, since my PS2 can't play it due to the disk reader acting up, and I would love to see a port of it on PS4 and other platforms.

It would be so sick if the voices got redone to more modern sonic. Image Roger Craig Smith doing Sonic's voice and change the other characters voices. Like maybe make it optional like a setting to change the voices into the modern voices. That would be so sick! Just an Idea. Tails voice would not sound like nails on a chalk board. Lol

The gamecube - ps2 era games need remasters for preservation sake. Heroes, riders, hell even shadow, all deserve at least ports before adventure imo.
I would love to see a remake instead of a remastered. The only reason why is because of Renderware, the engine is still updated in some fasion (surprising) and gives out to their partners back then.
Even so I would love remake regardless because I don't want another GTA The Trilogy: The Definitive Edition situation.

They also use an open source engine (Godot) that could have potential yet use it in the worst way possible.
If it is a port, that could be cool, as long as it is moddable. It would be a good replacement for the original PC port after some time to convert the relevant mods over because said original port was just...not good, it was positively horrendous. If it is a remaster then...idk, the game was already mega jank and plenty buggy, so new bugs like with Colors Ultimate would at worst be disappointing, but they cannot really lower my enjoyment of Heroes any lower(Yes, I am not the biggest fan). Heck, maybe it will actively improve it with stuff akin to the perfect homing attack and the smoothed out jump CU had.
If it is a remake, then we are living in a weird word, because it makes 0 practical sense to remake Heroes before the SA games, especially because those are actually referenced by Heroes, which would make it really confusing for newer fans who don't yet know that the series went through an insane amount of jank and retcons. Current Sonic is just waaaay diffrent from Dreamcast Era-Sonic and the only things newer players are expected to know about it is stuff that Frontiers told them about, which would still be taking it massively out of order. Full remake-projects should be reserved for titles that would fit in well with the current offerings provided and a Heroes-remake kinda does not without SA remakes.
Sonic Heroes kept up through emulation?
Not..really? It's kept up because it has a pretty well-functioning PC port from 2004 that is still compatible with current Windows OS'es, and is very mod friendly because of Reloaded II.
That's nice and all but, that port of the game is very niche
The most I can see them doing is an HD port to modern consoles.. and I don't see Sega ever doing online multiplayer for Sonic. Online servers cost money to keep running.

Considering sega's track record of making poor remasters. I hope this isn't a thing that's coming out. And if it is then I hope it's being done by some people that actually know what they're doing. But even if they know what they're doing Sega is most likely just going to give them a time limit and we're still going to get a poor remaster because of Sega.

ADVENTURE GAMES ARE MOST LIKELY TO BE REMADE
KEEP the expectations low, last remaster was not made by sonic team, and was a mess, there is no chance of a port since renderware does nos exist anymore so sega can't just use that to port, there is only 2 paths remake or remaster, both are very risky for such game(both can simply break the game in different ways), coming from sega who loves to rush stuff, we are in a 50/50 situation, keep the damn expectations low, and i say this in the perspective of SEGA not sonic team, sega seems to be really happy about sonic's recent uprising, and we all know how sega is when they get a bit too carried away
If they make the difficulty changed with modes rather than the teams, make the chaos emeralds shared between all the teams, and fix the STUPID JANK in bingo highway and the special stages then I would buy a remaster on release. Sonic Heroes is the only Sonic game I have never completed because I can't bring myself to play the same slippery game 4 times in a row.

Tails tube always reuses scenes from older games, they did that in all the other episodes. If that was some kind of teasing, they would've released a port of Sonic Unleashed by now, but here are with no ports. This is not a solid evidence they were teasing anything.
I don't think all these changes would be a good idea, I think a port or remaster should be faithful to the original game, if you change things because you don't like, it's disrespectful to the original piece and a lot of people like Sonic Heroes for what it is. I think improving the controls is fine (and needed), and making the other campaigns optional, too. Bug fixes, control fixes and other kinds of quality of life improvements are great, but something like changing the levels' order is not.

Did anyone even look at the tails tube clip for more than 2 seconds before coming up with this? There's literally clips from sa1, sa2, riders and generations in there plus some weird art of jet wearing a sonic hat and tails and sonic cooking. Why tf is everyone randomly obsessing on just the heroes clip?

Here’s why I think a sonic heroes remake or port probably won’t happen.
One: the game is very outdated due to it being on older systems like the ps2 and GameCube and Xbox and the models and assets are probably forgotten and destroyed properly cause Sega may have moved to different cities and countries and the technology is probably not going to work in modern day.
Two: most of the cast for this game have either moved on or unfortunately passed away or probably can’t voice the characters the same way like they used to.
Ryan is still around and half of the others already moved on and is taking a break from it. And that they probably don’t want to do it again.
Three: I don’t think it’s a good idea to remaster this game because remember what went on with colors ultimate and origins All though origins wasn’t as bad as colors but it could’ve been worse.
But some people still play colors ultimate and origins manly the new sonic fans so hopefully Sega doesn’t pull a corporate route and make the game expensive but Sega has confirmed that they are going to make their future games around $60/$80 dollars probably due to inflation and it’s prices going up lately.
However technology has improved lately so if Sega does make something like this they would need to delay it till 2025 to give sonic team some more time. Thankfully Sega is going to give them a bigger budget after the success of frontiers so maybe but we’ll have to see.
Remember in 2020-21 just because of TWITTER MEMES a lot of people was think that Remake of SA1 in development? This story repeats, again because of NOTHING, people are thinking about Heroes same thing. Because of TailsTube? Hello? On this shot of POTENTIAL SH REMAKE/REMASTER, on screen you can also see 3 footage of SADX, one from Riders, two arts and ONLY ONE Cutscene from Heroes...Thats the proof? I dont think so. It looks like a reference to me, nothing more.
