I absolutely loved and still love this series. In Cartoon Network nowadays, where shows are plagued with bright colors and loud noises and meaningless scripts, Over the Garden Wall dared to be different. I don't know if younger kids cared about this show but we most certainly did. Moral of the story? Cartoon Network needs more like this (^O^)

This is why I like dark cartoons, which some people consider it as 'different from the rest' but I think it's more of a unique touch to it.

I just watched Over the Garden Wall, and it is amazing. The way it was executed is perfect. The character development, atmosphere, and ending were amazing. OTGW is a work of art.

in clarence i saw them in the background of the episode where he digs a hole with his helmet in the forest. The two main characters of over the garden wall are right in the background! its awesome!

Fact #98 is a little bit incorrect. In the first episode, Greg says "Hold on there, second brother O' mine".
So it's shown in the first episode that they're half-brothers, not the fourth.

Part of me kinda wishes that Sarah and Wirt's friends could get more development in some comicbook spin-offs, so that we can see more chemistry between him and Sarah. We see in the show more chemistry between him, Beatrice, and Lorna in the show, and that made them more "shippable" (for lack of a better term), so it'd be interesting to see how his crush on Sarah had developed and how they get along in a separate comicbook.
In Clarence episode "Little Buddy" Greg and Wirt's silouettes can be seen in the corner while Clarence is burrying his little buddy.

Wirt's cape is not a World War II nurse cape, it is a Confederate Officers cape. You can see the cape along with a Confederate hat when he is going through the chest during the Halloween episode.
Def a civil war uniform, but a union uniform. Union soldiers wore blue. Confederates wore gray.
Whose ready to get rid of Uncle Grandpa and Teen Titans Go and get Over The Garden Wall back?
Imagine the plot was reversed as as beast being to the good trying to lead them back home but can't do anything physically so he tries to help them, as the unknown people lie to them and make them stay or sum that would've been a good plot twist.
I think that the limbo theory is canon. Beatrice spends most of the series as a bird. Many cultures use birds as a metaphor for the passing on of souls. By the end of the series, she's human, and her job is done. Also, what Greg wished for in his dream (to sacrifice himself for Wirt) really happened, meaning that the line between dreams and reality was way too thin. One last thing: like in Alice in Wonderland, everyone in the Unknown seems a little off (physically and mentally). If they are unaware that they are dead, then they would be struggling to accept the unexplained things around them. The one exception would be the skeleton/vegetable people. They know that they are dead, which is why they are happy (as dark as that is).
I was watching an episode of Clarence with my little sister, and Clarence was in the woods. Then I spotted Wirt and Greg in the background. Coincidence?

There are multiple reasons for why I like Over the Garden Wall. First of all, Greg is cute and innocent, just the way I like my star children. Not to mention an actual child voice form Collin Dean. Speaking of voices, I actually like the wide diversity of cartoon voices and famous celebrities who got to join Collin Dean on this project. In fact, I have decided Wirt is my favorite character that Elijah Wood has ever played. Still the main reason why I like Over the Garden Wall is its timing in the fall. During the fall and winter from 2014 to 2015, I was concerned about the fate of hand-drawn animation; with computer animation taking all the glory, especially in theaters. Suddenly, Over the Garden Wall got a rerun on Cartoon Network in January 2015. I watched all ten of its clearly hand-drawn animated projects, and they provided me some relief to see hand-drawn animation still going strong. As you can tell, I have an emotional liking to Over the Garden Wall.
P.S. Over The Garden Wall was NOT Cartoon Network's first mini-series. Genndy Tartakovsky's mini-series about Star Wars The Clone Wars came first in 2003.

This is definitely my favorite cartoon I've watched.
This show had everything.. An ominous setting.. A ominous plot and a show without swearing.. Alot of mystery and it gives us the view of the writers view on the unknoen and gives us a perspective on the unknown basically there's no explanation to it its jsut perfect.. In every way.
