Lovely review. I own an i8 too would never exchange it I Daly it too. Interesting what you said about the power I felt it feels like more hp then the rated power as of the motors instant toque
@@azizdrives thanks for the reply. A lot of pe6 don't like these cars in the comments over the internet but I don't they don't know what they are talking about or never experienced one. One guy said they are terrible because you can't rev it. Sone think it's fully electric but on the street most people are fascinated by it.
@@TommyMcDermottI have a 2018 and the comments I got from friends were SO strange. People have an opinion without a clue what the car is and can do. I had a Boxster S before the i8 and the BMW makes the Porsche feel like a tractor. The car as agile, very quick, very easy to drive as a daily and a tourer yes? You feel the same?
Hi Anderson thanks for the question. The original idea was to call it Drive and because by now everybody knows that my name is aziz i just start with drive, but you're right i'll have to check with my team.
The said "lag" between petrol engine AND electric motor is noticeable only when the petrol engine is not up to temps and driver wants hard / semi hard acceleration -> software is limiting the petrol engine power due the cold engine oil. When engine has been driven hard, its fully in temps, then there's no "lag" between petrol engine and electric motor. They work seamlessly then. I own 2014 i8, I kind of know the "symptoms" when this happens. What indeed is noticeable is that because of the instant torque of electric motor -> car feels much faster than claimed 357bhp suggest. The every day throttle response is insane compared to normal combustion engine sports car like Porsches, BMW M-cars, Merc AMG:s etc. Of course biggest downsize this all is that the "soundtrack" of i8 is very, very artificial...
The the design of the BMW i8 brilliant ...
Thank you Aziz, finally someone who appreciates this beautiful car.
Definitely the most beautiful and impressive cars ever made, I can't even call it a car, it is so much more!

I also felt the same, i explained that it felt like it had much more power than they say it has :D

55km in E Drive? Is actually nowhere close to that, more like 30km.
The LCI models have more range than the pre LCI models
This. Much more range than battery capacity difference actually suggests.@@WtfHaxLolLol
