Aziz, dude, thank you for risking so much for your viewers. You pushed that car to the max hahaha, it was a crazy drift to do even in a rw drive car, at 160kph!? in a wide corner, but you went for it like a champ! God bless and all the power to ya man!
Thank you very much man, if it had been rwd there wouldn't have been a problem. It suddenly gripped and it was too late, still everything went ok, car had nothing so happy how it went.
@@azizdrives Yeah, it looked like the car forgot it is drifting, moved traction to fronts and all the understeer came on raining down. Oh well it is to be expected when this things are calculated by a computer. But massive props to Audi for adding in this tech, it’s a marvel for it’s debut.
@@Ro3eRt10 that isnt what happened... he lost traction at the rear and over rotated... happens all the time in rear biased cars. had nothing to do with losing grip on the front... you know that is what understeer is, right, losing traction on the front tires.
@@annenominous7220 to me it looks like he goes in-> drifts until the middle of the corner-> change in elevation happening-> front tires lose grip -> car moves to middle of the track -> regains control after counter steering to get rid of understeering. To have an oversteer(drift spin) in a 2 front and 1 rear tire traction seems impossible to me, i think this is the exact point of Audis new tech. (to spin only one rear wheel and the other one to get dragged behind for control). But ey I wasn’t there to know.
8Y pre-facelift is the better looker but glad they kept the RS3 alive and even gave it slightly better cornering performance. Anyone hating on this car doesn’t know what a good vehicle is. That drift that went wide was driver error and the car stayed in control. More throttle and steering angle would have kept it on the track and the driver was still learning the vehicle. It looked like half a second of panic made him lift the throttle and not correct steering angle enough. Great review and lots of confidence from that car for someone to go out and drift it like that with very little/no practice.
No one buys this for economy 😅. It will probably be the same as the 8Y, on a good run I’ve managed 41mpg from mine, motorway with mixed driving but mainly comfort obviously. I think it’s pretty impressive for this type of car.
@@pricey78 That is best about these tests. No one buys them for economy, so no-one knows what these cars actually can achieve when they are driver gently. I like these hot/super cars fuel economy tests.

Aziz man, can I have your honest opinion? I am ordering the car rn, but unfortunately I could not try the facelift: which seats you prefer more? Are the buckets comfy, or go for the electric massage sports seats for both comfort and grip?
@@azizdrives f*ck, someone says this, someone that...🤦♂️ anyway, thank you mate! Btw how tall are you? Im 184 and the guy at "Autogefühl" channel is 189, and he said that is reeeaally uncomfortable, and the normal seats are much better 🤷♂️🤷♂️ I wanna go also for longer journeys...what do you think?
haha awesome video man what a fucking sick car! my first car was a a3 from 97'! the only two things that annoy me are having all the assistance shit on a RS car and that drift mode... why not have it just go full RWD if you want it to slide instead of that crazy 3WD stuff is beyond me!!
I admire your enthusiasm, but... this is face lift, NOT a new model. It is not any faster than the current RS3 8Y and things like the drive select are unchanged. Just cosmetic changes and really that's it. I own an RS3 8Y and all you need to do if you want a pop-pop-bang on starting the car, is to start it in Dynamic. So this 'performance start' bullshit is exactly that. I notice there's a lot more plastic on the facelift (cost saving) and the carbon side skirts seem to have got a lot smaller (cost saving). The new steering wheel is now all plastic as well (cost saving). But here's the biggest change, the price. My RS3 was £60k with the carbon pack, 180mph limit, ceramic brakes and comfort and sound packs.. This car, to the same spec is £10k more! For that, I'd expect at least another 50bhp and a lot less cheap materials. Audi are really pushing their luck with their current strategy. An AMG A45s+ to the same spec as a fully optioned RS3 is a lot cheaper, plus Merc are offering better finance rates and deposit contributions. If I change my RS3 any time soon, I'll probably go back to the Merc. I had one for two years, it's more driver focussed than the RS3, but as a daily I will say my RS3 a little better.
Which means that got it right. It does not need any more power. When I took delivery of mine we put it on the rollers, 428bhp stock. They've always had more than Audi claim.
