Btw, ferrets only should have a bath once a year. because there skin gets drys easily, of twice if u need it :). and when bonding with a ferret while its sleeping grab it and lay it down to snuggle its when there most calm and happy
@@carlalay6133 hi! i don’t have a a ferret myself but i do a lot of research on them because i want them so badly. i recommend a bath every like 6 months, and bathing them makes them smell more because of their oders (they are related to skunks so it’s the same for both of them)
@@carlalay6133 uh oh… bathing them often can strip away the essentials oils in their skin causing them to over produce most of the time to compensate for that lost oil. They can smell worse the more you bathe them because you’re doing more damage than good. They’re more like cats and very great at keeping themselves clean! If I had a ferret, I’d probably bathe them once a year unless they got into something. I’d also bathe them with plain whole oats because that’s pretty moisturizing to their delicate skin. I really hope this helped! :)

I hope you're taking your ferrets for their nightly leash walks. I walk mine every night for 6-8 blocks, and I put a leash on my ferret at 9 weeks old. They love their leash walks. It saddens me when I run into ferret owners that don't leash walk their ferrets.
You should try wysong ferret food, it’s one of the best dry kibble options for ferrets. And my little guy loves his feisty ferret cage, it’s really spacious and not super expensive. And they loooove cat toys

First off…certain pet stores will sell ferrets way too young. I learned that and now I’d purchase from a reputable breeder than a pet store. Next…make sure when getting ANY pet to research BEFORE you purchase them, and then you’ll understand/know why something like a ferret bits. Even though as a child I was told everything bits.

Yes lol they do smell a little bit like corn chips 😂 But I think I’m a little nose blind now since they are my pets but yea they can be a little stinky sometimes but it doesn’t bother me

Yes I did, at first I thought they were fighting but I think they was playing with each other. Then I noticed cinnamon was trying to get pepper to play that’s when I realized that they were playing :)
Food recommendations: Wysong epigen, k9 naturals cat food, ziwi peak cat food. Cages: I'm not gonna recommend any certain cage. But you should get a cage with levels. But make sure the levels are NOT WIRE. Wire is very irritating and bad for them. It's like the equivalent to stepping on Legos. Also make sure to put hammocks and blankets in the cage.
i have a hamster. but she will bit try to escaep and she does not like getting picked up so we might return her and then get a ferret they look so cute
Yes ferrets are very friendly once they get comfortable around you and the bites didn’t hurt at all when they were trying to bite me when I first got them
My parents got it from Amazon, there is a lot of options on there, I am not sure which one they got but I’ve seen some nice ones on there. Just make sure to check out the reviews before you buy them :)

@@carlalay6133 okay so long story short for my 14 birthday I got a farret but but didn’t do a lot of research then I click a video talking about Marshalls and how petco gets there animals from there and they have disceses and stuff and they die quickly so I didn’t want to go thru my farret dying in a year or two so I returned it but my dream pet is a farret but idk where to buy one
@@LuisReyes-up3xh you can try a rehoming website like Craigslist! But yes, sadly Petco ferrets are raised in an animal mill where diseases, illnesses, and death runs wild. They also get separated from their mothers way too soon to learn proper kit behaviors (which is why some ferrets can have behavioral issues) and they get altered too early and de-scented (Which to me is completely cruel and unnecessary). Pazuandfriends and Friendly neighborhood ferrets are two awesome channels that discuss safe rehoming tactics you can use to make sure that you won’t be getting scammed. I also recommend a savings account with at least $1,000 set aide for any medical emergency before you go looking for your ferret. I hope this helps and good luck!
@@LuisReyes-up3xh Get at least two ferrets from a good breeder that breeds them excellently and takes excellent care of them. Ferrets are not supposed to be this size and weight either. Have you ever seen the European Polecat and the United Kingdom ferrets? They're huge and stunning! They have good muscles and are extremely healthy and live much longer then the Marshalls ferrets. And also, the excellent ferrets as I call them don't have behavior problems because they are handled a lot by the people there.
The bites don’t hurt :) They only was biting me when they I just got them because they was scared but the bites didn’t hurt. When they play they also play bite, that doesn’t hurt either, sometimes they can bite a little hard but it’s not extremely painful or anything. Other than that they never bite me out of anger ever or anyone new that they meet :)
Don't wash your ferret often if you want to get rid of the smell. The more often you wash the ferret the more it smells. BTW I got this info from the modern ferret

yeaaa im guilty of this. im working realy hard know educating myself. me and my fiance didnt do enough like proper nutrition etc. but were making up for that now. were getting our 2 young boys that are almost 1 years old off of marahells on onto wysong atm and im making them a BIG play area out of these clear plastic panel playpen kits. theyre getting half of our whole living room which is big and its going to be awesome.m for them. im also no longer going to scruff them i feel like a horrible person for ever doing so but realized its not right or okay and patience is everything with them. theyre animals. theyre gunna do things we dont want them to do but you cant blame them. i took on the responsability of buying them so time to buckle up and do this damn thing right and give them the best life i can because i havent been doing my best but i sure am now. i love those 2 little knuckle heads along with our senior girl flower which was my fiances little sisters that they gave to us.

girl first of all Pepper was a wiggle ferret he was in his teething phase. no matter what you did to him he would bite you. he liked to bite people because he thought it was fun. you don’t know not one thing about her ferrets nor her life.

I got mine from petco maybe it’s best to adopt, if u get them from petco it can be a risk of them having ear mites and mines had them
