Please get another ferret and do more research. Ferrets need to be in pairs or they will get very lonely and not be able to function. Also, that cage as well as almost every cage at the pet store is inappropriate for ferret use. You should get a double ferret nation or critter nation, maybe a feisty ferret cage by prevue hendryx. Also, they need a high quality kibble or a raw diet which is the most ideal. Lastly, DO BETTER. No one swings around animals like that and laughs when they fall and could seriously injure themselves. Ferrets and small and sensitive and they are prone to injury, please be more careful. Petco and other pet store don't know what they are talking about because they get their information from Marshall's, a pet mill that breeds ferrets till they die.

They can also mask their pain very well and you won’t know something is wrong until it’s too late. Also, that cage is wayyyy too small haha. Ferrets are much like cats are deserve supervised free roam time 8+ hours is very ideal! If not, a cage that’s roomy with levels and covered flooring is the way to go. They just aren’t caged animals because they can get depressed just like us! I hope this helped! :)

She’s actually suppose to get two ferrets. The ferrets are delicate and just because they can bend doesn’t mean you swing them around.
Also I would like to say pet co does NOT know a-lot, the cage you got is not NOT even close to the right size. And the ferrets are VERY unhealthy, they are taken away from there mothers at when born and shipped away to diffrent pet shops, where they are stuffed into a tiny space and not even close to properly being taken care of. They are very likely to grow up sick, and will be much harder to train as they are only out of the cage held for about 10-20 mins a day. This means they are not socialized and will most likely not bond with their owner. Also, PLEASE do research before just deciding to buy a pet.
Yes, this is all very true. I feel very angry at the people in this video that bought this ferret without doing research first. The cage is WAY TO SMALL and will leave the ferret feeling confined also YOU NEED TO BUY 2 FERRETS!!!!

Hey whats up. Im a previous ferret owner and if possible make sire you have a 2 story ferret nation cage. Hammocks, blankets, mouse toys, other toys, clear tubing, lots of litter boxes, and finally....alot of love. Anyway good luck

Iams Kitten is not recommended for ferrets. Kibble in general is not the best diet, raw is the best, but I understand not everyone can do raw... for Kibble, Wysong, while not perfect is still one of the best dry kibble currently available . All kibble will have plant matter of some kind in it, as it's required as a binding agent, this is why kibble is always your lowest option for an obligate carnivore... but xheck the ingredients, you want meats listed high, often and repeatedly... if it starts listing corn it's time to shelf that kibble and find something else... it's not healthy in the long run for an obligate carnivore. A middle of the road option between kibble and raw would be freeze dried raw, such as Ziwi Peak and/or Stella and Chewy's Freeze Dried raw. These options are both better than any kibble diet and are readily available on places like Amazon. They ate both listed as cat foods, but healthy options for your ferrets and both are better than a kibble diet. Please, for the love of your ferrets, get them off Iams Kitten... that corn based food is not healthy for them.

I’d recommend adopting ferrets instead of buying them from pet shops because it supports ferret farming. I’m sure your sister will take very good care of the ferret but maybe get him a friend as ferrets are incredibly social animals. It’s much easier and quicker to purchase a ferret from a pet store than to adopt and that’s why people purchase them from a store. Even finding a breeder is difficult, hours away. I know this because I’ve been looking for half a year now.

i would recommend not letting him out in the car to play with him because he has a lot of anxiety and stress atm and doesnt know what is going on, so you wouldnt want to add more stress to that.
im not sure but I can give you some tips on how to take care of them! All though expensive a critter nation cage is the perfect cage for a ferret, they need a hanging bed and some enrichment activities like ball bits or the little balls that hide the treats in them! Ferrets are burrowers but do not get them wood shavings. They cause mits? mights? im not quite to sure how to spell it. Make sure to give them a blanket/towel for warmth and a place to hide when their stressed out! Ferrets also need 2-4 hours of playtime a day and are very fragile! swinging them can cause internal damage etc. They are also very prone to diseases. Marshal treats are a no no aswell, every ferret diet is randomized with your ferret. You should take them to the vet once when you just got them and then every few years. Ask your vet which food brand you recommend. Make sure you go to an exotic animal vet. Also they don't need baths regularly, maybe every 2 months? unless something happens like they get poop on them, other than that they clean themselves. Also I highly suggest potty training your ferret. Biggest regret for me bc I didn't keep up with it! and one last thing I forgot to mention ferrets are VERY clumsy. No dangerous high object in their cage! and don't be afraid to give your ferret space at the beginning. They're easily stressed. But their so worth it

Hey Nicole its best if you adopt a ferret we got Berry the ferret from Petco Im not sure how much it would be in Frankfort Ky But here in Long Island he cost about $290 almost around $300 also make sure you find out what's a good cage for the ferret. It has been a year so sorry if you have already done this but I suggest getting another ferret because they are social creatures and the can get sad if they are alone for too long and die of basically depression

It has been a year so sorry if you have already done this but I suggest getting another ferret because they are social creatures and the can get sad if they are alone for too long and die of basically depression
A lot of ppl in the comments know ab ferrets and I want to know if it’s okay to go to school then play with ferrets for a few hours if you have 2??
My PetCo doesn't have them do you know where to get one how much do they cost
around 250-300. try looking for shelters its better that way

You shouldn’t really be listening to staff. Their not as knowledgeable as you think. They recommended you small cages and things that aren’t right for them, If I were you I’d rely on a UA-camr who’s very knowledgeable about ferrets and knows what their talking about. Just don’t listen to staff for most animals they aren’t reliable. You should definitely get a bigger cage and uhhhh I’m not trying to be rude but that was kind of an impulse buy. It seemed like you knew nothing about them because getting that cage size and swinging around the ferret? That is an incredible NO NO.
Not being mean just some advice petco or pet smart will just make you buy the wrong things try to buy from a animal shelter that cage is ok for now but when he’s older get a ferret nation cage I really record them
