4:58. That is awesome that you inspired that person to go back to work for Key Training Center. It is foundations like these that will allow our children to live rewarding lives as they grow out of the school system even if they are unable to be self sufficient. Much like our elderly who suffer from dementia and Parkinson’s, our intellectually disabled offspring deserve to lead lives not with restrictions but with a safety net so that (as Asa has said) they have a softer place to land. To that person, from the father of a family who is benefiting from the support of a similar foundation in another state I thank you. We need more people like you.

It's amazing how many new experiences Abbie has been willing to try! You have raised her in such a nurturing way that she knows she is always safe and can always trust her family. Millions of people can only dream of having that.
Gotta tell my "I started watching Fathering Autism" story. I'm a school van driver. I've been doing it for 8 years now. I've driven kids with autism, and other 'so called' disabled children. 5 years ago, I started driving a 6 year old with autism, non verbal and well, a child that made me want to quit my job. I would get hair pulled, arms scratched, bitten and after the first two weeks, I was ready to quit my job. I spent a year getting shoes thrown at me, spit on and kicked in the head while I drove and had yelling matches with her. I wanted to see if I could find out more about what she felt....5 years later......we're two peas in a pod!

It was me...I'm the "one lady" 🤣 I spoke to Isaiah and told him it was that video that brought me to you all. I was amazed at what an amazing big brother he was, and how he cared for Abbie. It was interesting to see autism life from that perspective. Once I started watching the vlog regularly it was so obvious why he is such a great kid. He has great parents and a great sister. I love watching you guys ever day. I love learning from you guys as a fellow autism parent, I love learning from Abbie and Isaiah. I swear ya'll are changing the world, one vlog at a time.♡ Thanks for meet up...totally worth our 2.5hr drove from Port Charlotte lol

I feel I was guided somehow by a higher power to your vlogs I started watching every day because I enjoyed them, and now my youngest grandson has been diagnosed with non verbal autism, perhaps I was guided to the vlogs so I could learn and be aware of autism ❤️
Asa and Cilla I have to commend you on bringing Summer in to your home. It has been the best thing for Abby. In every video I see her coming more and more out of her she’ll and doing things (like jumping into the lake) she normally wouldn’t do. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I absolutely loved that Abbie got into the water with Summer and Isaiah! I think having Summer there maybe makes Abbie a bit braver and more willing to do certain things, simply because she wants to be with Summer, her best friend.
They really do have such a beautiful friendship and I believe that they each make the other person’s life so much better. But that is just what best friends do for each other.
