It comes with time! It’s hard to learn a 2,000year tradition

Don't be discouraged, dear friend. At its most basic look at the Vesper service as a dialogue between you and the Lord. From our end, we ask God to forgive and enlighten us on the closing day. It also foreshadows the "closing day" of our lives. Once you get a book with the service and actually go through it while you are in the service itself; your heart will find fulfillment. The more you frequent the Vesper service, the more your heart will accustom itself to the needs met in that service. God bless you in your struggle in this life!
