@taylormorris_ thank you! Thanks for listening and commenting. Just dropped a new banjo tune on spotify and everywhere else. Darlin Corey, give it a listen if you get a chance.
@@a.p.rodgers right on, ill check that out. A two finger inteo into up picking is the bees knees really. Melodic build up to that steady freight train sound. I'll get it. Thanks for the replies, I'll check out your page
The first time I filmed this video I played thumblead like Roscoe, then I listened to it and realized I sounded way off. So I redid the video in my own style. Nobody can touch Roscoe.
I was just thinking about how I dislike most modern country music yet still sort of enjoy the folk form. The u tube algo actually functioned properly for once lol?
@@a.p.rodgers My dislike of country music is mostly a function of pop music conformity. I do not hate the artists or anything...I just get bored. Allison Krauss and Robert Plant made a very awesome bluegrass style country album awhile back. And the yoyo ma, stuart duncan, edgar meyers and chris thiles "Goat Rodeo Sessions" is peak country music, imo. I kinda point to that as some of the best southeastern, usa non blues and non jazz music of all time. They is goated lol. That music is so complicated and so fire.
That banjo sounds great. Love the nylon strings!
"i had a bottle of burglar's wine"

@@a.p.rodgers yeah man, I'm trying to get a handle on up picking, taking a bit to get out the clawhammer rhythm. Darling Cora is always a good one!
@@taylormorris_ I just made a video on how to play uppicking as well. It's definitely a cool technique to have in your bag of banjo tricks.
