If you're bubble is constantly getting destroyed by supers, use Gift of the Void. It'll make 3 orbs of light for your teammates, and with maximum intellect, the 2 orbs from casting WoD and the 3 from Gift of the Void is pretty much a free super for everyone on your team. Albeit this is highly dependent on your teammates not being potatoes and being able to utilize the orbs.
Great video mate really enjoyable. I appreciate you took the time to include multiple gameplays worth of clips. Which takes a lot more effort than people realize when editing. I'm currently leveling a defender as well so I'll be trying this out :)
+True Vanguard I saw you as the player focus and I just now found out your a youtuber! and a good one to xD keep up the good work but also instead of messenger what about BadJuju?
Ryan aka @truevanguard keep these videos coming I have never found anyone so helpful and wanting people to be as good as him lol I think I have watched every video you have uploaded! Thanks again and well done mate honestly :)
Honestly I've picked up so many little things from all these videos and also I have changed weapons a lot recently rather than using a hand cannon and being a bit op but I like the change now I quite like pulse rifles now to and the messenger what you use in this video! Honestly great stuff mate. Thanks for doing what you do!
Darren Stanley i couldn't agree more. My crucible experience has become so amazing its all i play now. Your claws load out for warlock is my go to load out beast mode initiated. i rock the hawkmoon or bad juju though
That was incredible. Iv'e watched your "how to snipe" videos and figured there is no way I can pull this off. Such kind of gameplay is closer to my style (although i'm light years behind you) and gives me many useful ideas I can borrow. I'm watching many top players Destiny videos, and I have to say i'm most impressed by your style and dedication. But mostly, you have a great attitude, not patronizing and just fun to watch and listen to! Thanks!
Thanks mate I use ur hotpf loadout today in iron banner and I did better than in normal cruvible with my normal voidwalker loadout! You are most helpful destiny youtuber and I love how you don't do that for views or subs but for help people! Keep it up!
True Vanguard thanks for the video, actually tried this during the iron banner week and i got some positive feedback on helping my team, and also a couple from the opposite team on using this setup.
+True Vanguard Hey I keep trying to find a video from a couple months ago. You used a rare shotgun, you use it quite often and I love the sights on it. I can't remember what shotgun it was. You said what it was in the description but I can't seem to find it.
+True Vanguard hey man, even thought I LIKE the meseenger, I disagree which rewards a skilled hand. No, it doesn't. it BARELY has nay recoil max out, and the dmaage fall off its barely noticable and WHEN it does, headseeker makes it up. AND, if you gunslinger trance, you can have extended magazine with no recoil. I honestly think ti deserves a nerf in SOME way. like have a lot of recoil, so then it needs it to be good
Dropping by to say hi and thank you for all your great and hard work! I'm a new subscriber and will be watching, keep up the good work man. Ps thanks again!
This video helped me a ton with my defender in pvp couldn't ever figure out the bubble wound up always running armor of light and waiting this is way better
I've played a bit with No Backup Plans. I like to combine it with the Relentless perk and max strength armor. Also, HoW brings the Up Close and/or Personal perk for shotguns. Seems like it was made for this style of play.
Your stuff is the best! You have real loadouts and logic for them and not just opinion and feelings about it, I love it. 1 thing brah, can I get some Hunter love for the gunslinger build? Come on!
Great video! I usually use my Titan so these tips really help me out. I've been playing pvp a lot more recently & hopefully I can get a decent team together for trails. Keep up the good work
I've noticed this on quite a few of destiny youtubers but whenever they showcase a weapon or class loadout the opposing team is made up of combatants still a bit wet behind the ears. But whenever I personally play crucible the meta of Exotic hand cannons, shotguns and such hits me with full force. Is there something i'm missing? -Fellow Guardian (P.s I consider myself slightly above average when it comes to skill if thats a factor)
I wondered that before too, but I think it's because of what he's saying about fooling people's radar, so they have no idea you're coming. I did well when I first started doing crucible by going invis a lot (though I haven't tried an invis loadout since then - was just doing it for the Thorn bounty to try and not die so often), and also I got better scores in inferno just because nobody is aware of you flanking. I think I'll try invis again soon
Ali stair Oh gosh man invis BD in crucible wrecks, I go invis, I then pick off each of em one by one great load out I am gonna level kerpis sting for crouch and go invis
Big Farm Kepri's Sting is fantastic because it allows you to both use the melee healing ability and go invis at the same time (or even go invis with Gunslinger, but you don't have shadowjack then so it's not quite as good). I've upgraded it, but haven't tried it in Crucible yet! I imagine it would be pretty good with the knife to go invis ability - go invis, stab someone, and you immediately get another invis for more extra melee damage and you probably won't even show up on the radar at all :)
Very impressive, think I will try some of your strats here. I've gotta get No Back Up Plans again though. I had them a while back but never used them as I never played Defender much in PvP. If this vid was made months ago I would have never gotta rid of them, lol. Maybe I will try it with the ACD/0 Feedback Fence until then. I definately will start using defender more if I can get good results. I would like to change it up a bit. Recently, I have even began using Fusion rifles again just to change it up a bit.
Hey Vanguard, great video! I rock the underused defender titan in crucible and I prefer it over my hunter and warlock. I agree with nearly everything in the video but I love weapons of light. I play a lot of Rumble and Skirmish but I reckon this could work on control and clash as well. Pop a bubble in a highly populated place on the map, have a high impact sniper like LDR/Benevolence and one shot kill to the body. Its basically final round but for your whole mag. Hope you consider this. - Henry
I really enjoy using this load out except with a scout rifle equivalent to the MIDA multitool, I tried striker titan, and sunbreaker, I love me some hammers and a tracking grenade, but I just couldn't get kills as consistently. Through using defender with this load out the kills stacked themself, it really brought an element of eliminating all the counter "cheeses" and forcing people you attack you with their guns in which case this load out allows me to outgun an opponent 97% of the time with amazing close and mid to long range engagements, thanks for the guide:)
I was using the Defender pretty frequently with Armor of Light and Suppressor grenades until Thorn enraged me to the point of taking a break from Destiny entirely until the exotic hand cannon issue is addressed. Bladedancers and Sunsingers seem really confident that they can take me out easily when they activate their supers, and they were getting unpleasantly surprised with Armor of Light and my Matador. I actually was the last guardian standing a few times in Trials and Elimination and killed all 3 in my bubble. I just don't think they expected me to have a chance. It was also hilarious to knock people right out of their super animations, leaving them pretty helpless. But I did struggle a bit against Golden Gun (range) and Fist of Panic (so fast and durable) while in my Ward of Dawn. It's not as much of a problem when playing with friends who are communicating and watching out for you, but I had a lot more problems when dealing with randoms.
the new build I now use is armor of light, relentless, it makes the shield stronger and last longer, I use universal remote with a side arm to clean up all the pellets that dont register
For you talking so much about mobility it surprised me you weren't skating/using Increased Control. But, as I got further into the video, I saw you using vertical space more than horizontal space and understood why. Great video!
This looks really cool and as soon as I level my Titan Ill try it out. I would say though that the messenger seems OP in general. Two burst kills, low recoil, and long range. I do not use pulse rifles, but now I want to.
Good gameplay I still say Hopscotch Pilgrim is better pulse (review on my channel). And I would recommend you chose perk for ward of dawn that generates orbs when it takes danage as it creates 3-4 orbs upon destruction. And congrats on your sub base increasing 10x in a matter of weeks.
Hey bro don't waste your breath on stuff like that. Call him a critic or call him a hater better yet stay focused on the thousands who love your work. Love the videos keep it up! Out of all that, you forgot your subscriber... little Ole me. It's OK much love remember stay focused.
I often get killed inside the ward of don when the Warlocks Super it. I think it doesn't consistently block it because the health the WOD decreases the longer it's up. When I built my Titan I started with Defender for Raids and POE and quickly realized that Blessing was the way to go actually be more of an offensive player and help your team be more offensive if they choose to be.
No kidding, I almost didn't watch when I saw no back up plans. After watching the video I can honestly say you make them work. I never get into melee range with my defender, it feels like suicide. Good use of increased height jump btw. You mention you were gonna try your defender in trials, how did it go? I exclusively run my defender in trials and our team is no stranger to the lighthouse. But I run weapons of light and crest of alpha lupi. Besides the obvious fast rez and stats the crest makes your bubble drop 3 orbs for your team. Since I'm usually playing support/back I just speed ahead of my team and drop it someplace near where I want to set up my sniper lanes, they run through it and get 3 orbs plus weapons of light. You should check it out sometime. It makes your guns do some really gross stuff. Even without the illuminated perk the messenger will kill in 2 bursts with only body shots (if they dont' have the ram), your ldr/her benevolence tier weapons kill in a body shot, Mida will kill in 3 headshots and the list goes on. I know you are a fan of gunplay and while I agree blessing of light rewards good gunplay, weapons of light I think amplifies it even further. You just have to play further back where your bubble isn't likely to get broke to get use out of it. Thanks for the video though, I really like my defender and sometimes it's frustrating reading all over that you enjoy the worst possible pvp class (whether it's true or not).
first off i really enjoy watching your videos / I did not like the titan at all in the crucible until about a few weeks ago where i used the bubble method like you said / i was using the hard light and the trolley problem with send it / this was b4 i saw your video and it completely wrecks ppl / like u said ppl dont expect you to come out of the bubble and whn you do you have an overshield so it makes it harder to kill you / its so much fun / i think my k/d was almost a 3.0
Have you reviewed Timur's Lash? I've found a set-up using it with the VoG sniper and Thunderlord that seems to work well. The lash I rolled for PvE with Hip fire and final round with explosive rounds, but it surprised me in this Iron Banner and had gotten me the Iron Wrath bounty two days running.
Great stuff True Vanguard ! I've been binge watching your videos all week and I've taken a lot from them. I'm glad you covered some Titan material... I feel Bubblebros only make up a small percentage of Destiny and sadly it's hard to find good content on Titans to take your gameplay to the next level.
Oh most definitely... I've taken my newly found skills into a few Rumble matches to see how I hold up and surprisingly I've done well, finding myself atop the leader boards a lot more often now. Thank you for the tutorials and keep up the good work!
I love the messenger had to get used to it though cause I was so used to the fire rate of Red Death but once I got used to the fire rate. Man I have been putting people down especially because it is more forgiving in the two burst department because of the headseeker perk I love it
Interesting w/ the No Backup Plans and fast switch/reload perk; I'm always a bit clueless as to what to use on Defender in PvP which usually leads to running Striker 24/7.
i am enjoying your vids and have put your tips to good use and my DTR is going up! can you try a build with Celestial nighthawk + last word/icarus perk and see if you can effectively dominate via being airborne?
Let me pose a question: You're using NBP and you already have increased reload with special weapons. You're mainly using your shotgun in a bubble, with blessing, which is what this whole class is focused around. Why don't you just use the perk that lets your shield continuously recharge instead of reload speed, since you already have it on the weapon you're most likely using for the majority of your close quarter kills anyways? This way, you'll get 25 seconds of force field instead of 15. Plus, with the army of one perk, you'd probably only have about 2 seconds of NOT having a force field before you'd be able to get one again. It seems more efficient to me to do it this way. Thoughts?
I prefer the hopscotch pilgrim personally because it lets me have max stability which is godly in itself. I also have an outlaw reactive reload roll on my pilgrim which is very strong for players with good aim
So I used your build And wow this build amazing I'm very aggressive with striker but not my defender and that was throwing me off but with this amazing build I'm now playing fast and aggressive. This build works so well thanks for giving my no backup plans a use again. Could you make an ACD/0 feedback build.
As a lover of the Titan class, i really enjoy this video. Defender still underestimated by a lot of players, and only a minority like me for example, knows how to appreciate that fucking amazing purple bubble. True Vanguard, the Armor of Light does isn't a better option? It still makes me more comfortable...
Awesome video True Vanguard! I main a titan and although I typically play Striker titan in crucible, I'm going to give this loadout a shot. Keep the videos coming, they're great! On a side note, what sensitivity are you rocking?
Loving the regular updates man. Videos really helping out in becoming legend. Is there any way you could post a run on Vault of Glass? I keep having issues once inside the vault and would love any yips you could offer.
I usually refrain from cursing on social media, but TrueVanguard, you're a fucking beast. I hope to never face you in the Crucible! Love your vids, though. I should start practicing in the Crucible b/c the PvE content is getting a bit tired. Keep on keepin' on!
Edit: Use new No Back Up Plans, and probably Monte Carlo for synergy. Probably use Immobius or Burden of Proof not because a reskin of Matador isn't good and all if it wasn't for one fact: Full Auto Shotguns can kill Defenders in there shields even if your blinded. This is why I occasionally use them in pvp, because this is the only way
ok I run a defender, but I use armor of light, but I use it in a high traffic area with the enemy team inside my bubble. Also a lot of people run into a bubble thinking they can shotgun you
Quick Q: How do you properly use your bubble to soak up a nova bomb? I know how to position for Fist of Havoc, Golden Gun, how to handle a Bladedancer, wave to Sunbros, etc. But every time a Nova comes at my bubble, inside/outside, doesn't matter--I always seem to die instantly. Is there something painfully obvious I'm missing man?
this is the second defender build that can turn the tide of a 6v6 but my question is which is better, besides this guide i know Liquid Syphax's guide could really contend against this one, anyone willing to discuss which is better?
Hey dude awesome video. Just one question, why you pushing armour in basic Pvp? Bungie have said that it doesn't count, cause they are normalised. Agility and recovery do.
For sure, always try to put as much effort into collecting good footage as possible.
Let me know how it goes!
+True Vanguard I saw you as the player focus and I just now found out your a youtuber! and a good one to xD keep up the good work but also instead of messenger what about BadJuju?
Been spreading the word about you TV, you have truly made me an even more deadlier guardian, went flawless twice off this :D,Thanks!
Ryan aka @truevanguard keep these videos coming I have never found anyone so helpful and wanting people to be as good as him lol I think I have watched every video you have uploaded! Thanks again and well done mate honestly :)
Thanks man I appreciate that! It really is a ton of fun doing the channel, and the subs are great people.
This is the most helpful video I've ever seen for my titan, I was continuously getting 10 kill streaks, thanks to this video! Thanks!
That was incredible. Iv'e watched your "how to snipe" videos and figured there is no way I can pull this off. Such kind of gameplay is closer to my style (although i'm light years behind you) and gives me many useful ideas I can borrow.

Best build ever! I just tried it out, I love how surprised people seem when you chase them down haha
Only you can make Titan Melees look good lol
Haha t-Rex arms ftw
+True Vanguard Hey I keep trying to find a video from a couple months ago. You used a rare shotgun, you use it quite often and I love the sights on it. I can't remember what shotgun it was. You said what it was in the description but I can't seem to find it.

Someone who truly understands the true art of the bubble "sigh"
Awesome gameplay and i really love your tips and gameplay :D
Great video as alwaysTV! Been trying your stuff! When I do it right, it's great!
Once again an excellent vid with exciting gameplay, thanks for the entertainment.
Dropping by to say hi and thank you for all your great and hard work! I'm a new subscriber and will be watching, keep up the good work man. Ps thanks again!
Just subbed.
Awesome channel, helpful tips and amazing gameplays.
Keep going man.
Loved the video man, never though i'd use that exotic until now. I'm going start levelling it and have some fun.
Dude, your videos are stellar, and I'm loving the loadout, really want to try it!
Thanks man! Let me know how it goes!
Would if I still had the backup plans, horizon, or the Messenger, but I'll try something, haha!
Come on!
Fantastic video, really informative.
Keep it up!
Excellent video. Keep up the great work buddy.
Great video! I usually use my Titan so these tips really help me out. I've been playing pvp a lot more recently & hopefully I can get a decent team together for trails. Keep up the good work
your channel is so cool dude, great stuff in here.
Great video! I'm going to try that load out and hope I do half as good as you!
-Fellow Guardian
(P.s I consider myself slightly above average when it comes to skill if thats a factor)
Yesssssss. Finally some Titan loadouts! My Defender is gonna maybe try this out on Iron Banner.
Great video. I like the build. Gun Skill 10/10
Nice video. Your videos are super helpful.
Looks awesome, definitely going to try it out!

This build is a blast I run it all the time now and I've never been more aggressive as a defender titan.
Nice load out. I am going to be trying this tonight. I am tired of the old saint 14 bubble. This looks like so much more fun.
the new build I now use is armor of light, relentless, it makes the shield stronger and last longer, I use universal remote with a side arm to clean up all the pellets that dont register
For you talking so much about mobility it surprised me you weren't skating/using Increased Control. But, as I got further into the video, I saw you using vertical space more than horizontal space and understood why. Great video!
Great advice, I've never thought of using defender in PvP lol. I'm going to try it later tho! Great vid Vanguard :D
Great vid, keep them coming.
i missed this intro music with a little preview of the build keep it that way :) also...review the allfate 55!
This looks really cool and as soon as I level my Titan Ill try it out. I would say though that the messenger seems OP in general. Two burst kills, low recoil, and long range. I do not use pulse rifles, but now I want to.
Love your videos man! Im going to try this build out right now, haha
Tuan Nguyen Let me know how it goes
Great video...have been trying the loadout and really like it. I had almost given up on using my defender in PvP.
I'm glad! Yeah I enjoy defender more than striker in 6v6 by far
You're a smooth gunman.
Great vid man, fun gameplay :)
Yo true you are the best plz keep more titan vids like this coming
Will do!
I love the defender class I even use it in regular clash.
The third melee perk for the defender class seems better IMO.
Lol. Super Soaker. Brings me back to childhood.
heh those spawns though, great footage, really want a messenger but never did trails it's only me and my brother so still need a 3rd guy.
Hey bro don't waste your breath on stuff like that. Call him a critic or call him a hater better yet stay focused on the thousands who love your work. Love the videos keep it up! Out of all that, you forgot your subscriber... little Ole me. It's OK much love remember stay focused.

Huge chunk of super goes up with each kill, damn son
spacedragon1234 You'll be a bubble droppin fool :)
Thanks for the video though, I really like my defender and sometimes it's frustrating reading all over that you enjoy the worst possible pvp class (whether it's true or not).
PSA: WITH THE NEW NO BACKUP PLANS THIS IS EVEN BETTER MAN
first off i really enjoy watching your videos / I did not like the titan at all in the crucible until about a few weeks ago where i used the bubble method like you said / i was using the hard light and the trolley problem with send it / this was b4 i saw your video and it completely wrecks ppl / like u said ppl dont expect you to come out of the bubble and whn you do you have an overshield so it makes it harder to kill you / its so much fun / i think my k/d was almost a 3.0
Great video, should help with getting melee kills in IB this week also.
You would decently enjoy it more now considering the now back up plans buff
Have you reviewed Timur's Lash? I've found a set-up using it with the VoG sniper and Thunderlord that seems to work well. The lash I rolled for PvE with Hip fire and final round with explosive rounds, but it surprised me in this Iron Banner and had gotten me the Iron Wrath bounty two days running.

Oh most definitely... I've taken my newly found skills into a few Rumble matches to see how I hold up and surprisingly I've done well, finding myself atop the leader boards a lot more often now. Thank you for the tutorials and keep up the good work!
I would love to use blessings of light but I still get 1 shorted by op shotguns so I just stick with armor of light

***** gonn have to try and use that No Back Up plans I usually never even give them a second thought
OMG love defender on Pantheon!
Now I hope xur sells no back up plans
Interesting w/ the No Backup Plans and fast switch/reload perk; I'm always a bit clueless as to what to use on Defender in PvP which usually leads to running Striker 24/7.
Just got this in my recommended
i am enjoying your vids and have put your tips to good use and my DTR is going up! can you try a build with Celestial nighthawk + last word/icarus perk and see if you can effectively dominate via being airborne?
True Vanguard are you with the Planet Destiny guys?Cool to have you on the crew
Thoughts?
surprised that you eschew increased control on this loadout. No skating?
Hi, I know this is an "old" video, but could you make a similar load out for the Striker? I imagine using the feedback fence, but not sure.
i would like to see that too
+jerrick riddick Same here actually. I main a titan and I enjoy seeing other peoples' loadouts.
Hey true im also having trouble finding a good sensitivity maybe a video about that
Great gameplay bro.
I prefer the hopscotch pilgrim personally because it lets me have max stability which is godly in itself. I also have an outlaw reactive reload roll on my pilgrim which is very strong for players with good aim
So I used your build
And wow this build amazing
I'm very aggressive with striker but not my defender and that was throwing me off but with this amazing build I'm now playing fast and aggressive.
It would be if you were going to chill in the bubble but I don't. I run in and out and take my over shield with me that way.
I see.
You should try out increased control for the Titan. It helps your mobility greatly,
wrong lift, untouchable. yikes
Definitely a Hyperion shotgun, only things missing are the white stripes.
This is why I occasionally use them in pvp, because this is the only way
Yo TV Hyperion have entered the destiny universe. The traveler is a Hyperion ship
Minus the big blue 'H', totally is a hyperion shotty, astral horizon.
ok I run a defender, but I use armor of light, but I use it in a high traffic area with the enemy team inside my bubble. Also a lot of people run into a bubble thinking they can shotgun you
you are a monster in the crucible. Hope I never end up against you
cool class. cool vid. You can't get away with this on xbone though... too many sweaties.
I never actually found the purple bubble gauntlets to be useful. I never seem to get of Melee kills
@truevanguard thx for so much help on all of your videos and I am glad to be subbed to you if you play on Xbox one ever I would love to play some time
I know the Blazing Ram load out for sunsinger is really nice but what are your preferences on it?
awesome video man but i do have to say in your hands that messenger is OP lol
good setup
How do you feel about Blessing of Light during IB or Trials? The overshield doesnt seem to help against shotguns.. so ive been weary of it
Quick Q: How do you properly use your bubble to soak up a nova bomb? I know how to position for Fist of Havoc, Golden Gun, how to handle a Bladedancer, wave to Sunbros, etc. But every time a Nova comes at my bubble, inside/outside, doesn't matter--I always seem to die instantly. Is there something painfully obvious I'm missing man?
this is the second defender build that can turn the tide of a 6v6 but my question is which is better, besides this guide i know Liquid Syphax's guide could really contend against this one, anyone willing to discuss which is better?
that pulse...jesus..
Hey dude awesome video. Just one question, why you pushing armour in basic Pvp? Bungie have said that it doesn't count, cause they are normalised. Agility and recovery do.
