He's well known around certain areas for being a regular in the local pubs. He'd just show up with his one security guy, who was basically one of his friends, and he'd hang out with the local lads and play pool and darts or watch the football or cricket or rugby with them. He's extremely down to earth and he's WONDERFUL with children because they're the only people who don't give a crap about rank titles and official protocols. They treat him as a fun guy to play with. He's always wanted to have a normal family, he always wanted to find his Catherine and have his own family. He LOVED that he wasn't the heir and that meant he was able to have more freedom than his brother. He's always openly said it's a job everyone thinks they want until they REALLY learn all the sacrifices it takes. She's manipulated him into believing that a different rank means he was treated less favourably than William. Even though Diana AND especially CHARLES were VERY adamant that they were ALWAYS treated EQUALLY in the family. Advice they got from the late Queen who treated ALL of her children equally and ranks only mattered for public events. But even then it was very minimal as they were all together anyway.
