The Libertarian debate gets even better when Gary Johnson says "Y'know, maybe drivers should know how to drive" and he gets fucking *booed* for it.
Libertarians are like: We should NOT force pilots to learn how to fly! Do you know who else force pilots to learn how to fly? Stalin! Anyone should have the right to do something they don’t understand! Let the blind do photography, deaf do the sound mixing, mute do the speeches, and libertarians run the country. I'm Out! *Goes down to the basement full of children*
Just wait until you ask their opinion on age of consent laws.
First Rule of the Libertarian Club: Never ask what the Age of Consent should be.
Second Rule of the Libertarian Club: Never ask how the courts should work.
Third Rule of the Libertarian Club: Never wonder who will own government industry when a libertarian regime is established.
Fourth Rule of the Libertarian Club: Never ask where political rivals disappear when the Libertarian regime is established.
Sixth Rule of the Libertarian Club: Never ask what is the fifth rule.
Seventh Rule of the Libertarian Club: Never ask about Slavery.
I can't believe I agreed with them on things when I was younger because of disinformation and not knowing how to think in different ways.🤦♂️
It's ok @@caiden3396 we all start out uninformed as kids and young adults. Plus even as adults, we have sometimes gaps in our knowledge and that's kinda understandable given how we are not all raised the exact same way with any universal set of truths either, and that is both partly a good and bad thing alike.
You hafta just develop as you go and decide for yourself how you wanna think about certain issues. And sometimes many hard issues can be nuanced. I had for years a lot of bad toxic beliefs and people I used to think were smart but didn't realize were corrupt and misinformed too, and it takes wisdom and maturity to grow past things like that and be both self forgiving while aware that you have not gotten the truth always perfect before. Be proud of yourself for making and admitting these developments, because you are showing more wisdom than a lot of folks who say and genuinely think they can never be wrong, be it on a gut instinct or any referenced info source, 100%.

Yes Man requires a lot of work but that's the appeal of it. It's for the anarchist who wants to put effort in their plans.
@@larrylaffer3246 It's not anarquism tho, it's YOU taking power, a dictatorship (for good or evil), anarchism would be destroying all the big powers and leaving the rest of new vegas to sort themselves out (they'd just creat some other big power).
This is proof that there's something DEEPLY wrong with anyone who wants to be in charge.
Deciding the fate of the Mojave is a lot of responsibility for a mailman with potential brain damage.

Deciding the fate of the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter.
"potential"
Fun fact that’s not so fun, the guy with the blue tie you see in the last frame of the video is Gary Johnson, the 2012 presidential candidate for the Libertarian party. In an extended cut of the debate we’re shown, he’s quoted as saying “, ya know, I’d like to see some competence exhibited in people before they drive” and even pointed out that not making it a requirement to have a license to drive would mean that drivers who are literally blind would be legally allowed to drive until they hurt or even killed someone: he was quickly met with boos from the whole crowd
Imagine Grandpa not giving up the keys because he believes he should still be allowed to drive despite failing a driver's test. We have drivers licenses for a reason.

No matter what ending you pick, you absolutely cannot allow Elvis Abuse to happen. The King is a pure soul who deserves better than that.
eh hes a _little_ NCR Racist but then again the NCR are a little the king racist so it balances out. I love the king.
in the words of Gabriel ultrakill: "Gee thanks the king"
@@QuartzRoolzThe wasteland needs more racism fuck the NCR house gangggg
The Kings are the 2nd best tribes left in the Mojave. Right behind the Great Khans and just before the Boomers.
The man gives you a cyborg dog for crying out loud. That's why I always befriend them every playthrough.
In all the previous times I played NV I helped the kings. I did the same in the last one. But then when I was in Freeside I accidentally shot one of the kings while trying to kill a thug, then the kings started attacking me and from that point things scalated quickly. What I'm trying to say is that I may or may not have killed the King... and then I may or may not have eaten his corpse
1:15
Fun Fact: You can actually spare The Kings in House's ending. To do this, you just have to make them go on a full blown war with the NCR and drive them outta Freeside. House will take this as a sign of loyalty and incorporate them into the Strip Families.
Unfortunately, no matter what you do, House will still want you to nuke the shit outta the BoS Bunker. So yeah, Veronica's always gonna be pissed if you pick Mr. House
Are you fucking with us? Holy shit, I'm reinstalling NV today just to do this!!! How did I miss this option!?
@@cajunguy6502yes it's Tru
Huh, it's kinda impressive that they factored that in as an option. Sucks that resolving things peacefully gets everyone killed in the end, but still cool haha.
The BoS in NV are stupid anyways.
The Mojave brotherhood sucks so much I'd happily kill them all (hell in the Yes Man ending they effectively become power armoured Highwaymen), shame about Veronica but honestly none of her endings are really happy as is.
Fun fact Mr. House admits in game he is a autocratic dictator not a Libertarian
Libertarian is a political ideology, an autocratic dictatorship is a form of government. you can be both.
@@gabbo7101 according to Merriam-Webster libertarianism is a political philosophy that upholds liberty as a core value.[1][2][3][4] Libertarians seek to maximize autonomy and political freedom, emphasizing equality before the law and civil rights to freedom of association, freedom of speech, freedom of thought and freedom of choice
Seems like house would be a pretty conflicted fellow there
@@nathanielgarza9198 Well, House said that with him in rule his citizens won't have political freedom, but other than that they're free to do whatever, as long as they don't cause any troubles. House won't tell you what to do, but considering who he is, and how he talks about rebuilding an industry, it's obvious he would start to mass employ people on rebuilt factories to actually start operating stuff again. @@swisschese1323I think the Roman's are the insperation buddy
Fun fact, there is an extremely specific scenario where House wins and leaves the Kings to do their own thing, that only happens if you fuck up the quest to patch the Kings and NCR faction relations
At the day of the battle of hoover dam, the Kings launch an attack on the NCR solders that are sitting in Freeside, House sees this as an example of loyalty to The Strip, so he decides to leave them be as the main faction in Freeside
I love how such a random thing that would be inconsecuential in 99% of games determines the fate of the faction for the House ending, I fucking love New Vegas
not just fuck up, deliberately fuck up by killing their provision officers
@@Gun_Metal_Grey I got it by accident by getting to close too the NCR officers when they told me to not get any closer, which they obviously interpreted as agressive, so that unleashed the entire war
@@GodOfGames523 also fun fact, in House playthrough, if you are Good Karma Courier, staging NCR-Kings war is the only negative karma activity in the entire questlines.
But so does killing House is negative.
New Vegas truly is a game with lots of grey choices
That is a ridiculously spot on Lily impression
Also, fun fact: House _ALSO_ makes you pay taxes! Like, the casinos and at least one street vendor mention that House's robots collect a cut of their profits, and he also taxes Primm if you help them get accessed by the Republic and then back House's rise to power.
I could've fucking sworn that I've seen SOMEWHERE that Kaisarr's Legion collects "tributes" but I can't find that anywhere on the wikl, so maybe I just sourced it from Senator Armstrong.
edit: dear UA-cam, please add the ability to turn off comment notifications, luv ya, BV
Taxes, taxes never change
I hate taxes but, I would rather pay taxes to Mr. House rather than to the NCR, at least with house he will use that money on something useful.
@@Lyss-Jackanother casino
Running any state requires taxes. Whatever name the state uses for it, some things have just gotta be done, and those things take money. Pure libertarians are just dumb (I would know, I used to be one *cringes*)
(I may be mistaken on following) Diference is that wih House, if your good karma in general, you can actually tone down some his more cold and brutal tendencies. Yeah he taxes the place but he arguebly provides better security then the NCR who are allover the place and dont care for anyone. At least with House you create some kind of safe zone and doeant harass the Settlers for trying to survive. Hell, he arguebly provides more Water then anyone else.
NCR gives 0 fucks and will screw over everyone (even kick them out of their homes and shoot anyone for trying to sip water from a lake), Legion does collect "tributes" but that varies alot and usually dont include money, it can be children and able body man to train into soldiers, women for slavery, weapons, etc.
"Hi I am a mailman who got shot in the-" -game crashes. Auto Save Corrupts all other files.
From my experience so far, the save file corruption issue seems to be fixed if you first load a save from the very start of the game in Doc Mitchell's house, *then* load the save you want to get into; kind of a band-aid solution, but it's worked for me. Weird how many people talk about crashes when I haven't experienced a single one, though; maybe my Luck stat is just maxed out IRL.
I first played New Vegas on the Sony PS3 and couldn’t get far into Old World Blues because the frame rate outside would become a slideshow before finally crashing. The problem was that PS3 couldn’t handle save files over a certain size.
@@robloxcool88 Most of the reproducible crashes were eventually fixed through official updates on Xbox 360 and PC. I think the PS3 version remains a disaster to this day sadly. But yeah the updated Xbox 360 version, or the Ultimate Edition if you have that, is pretty much equally as "stable" as Fallout 3. Then obviously on PC you've got a good collection of mods that pretty much completely fix everything else through the Script Extender.
The "New Vegas crash" thing is basically just a meme. I figure the people who talk about it are mostly in three groups. 1) They're just making a joke. 2) They haven't played the game in 13 years. 3) They haven't played the game at all (in other words, people who started with Fallout 4 lol).

Voice actors are technically vtubers as well. That means Goobus is also a vtuber.
@@Dredd-Mau Bit more of a stretch, but I think it counts.
I don't know why, but I've never thought of House as a Libertarian. However I feel like the Yes Man/Wild Card ending where the courier takes over could be interpreted as both Libertarian and Anarchist depending on how you played your character.
Also the best ending is the cut Old World Blues ending where the Courier becomes a science god and turns the Mojave into their personal testing grounds.
I agree, Yes Man can easily be an Anarchist ending if you play into that. The ending quest for that route is literally called "No Gods, No Masters", a famous anarchist saying.
People just see "businessman who doesn't want a government to take his stuff" and assume it's because he's a libertarian. Not because, you know, HE already IS the government and doesn't want a foreign power annexing him. I choose democracy every time. It's flawed, but it beats slavery and Tandi was my friend. I want to see her dream succeed.
We won't go quietly, the legion can count on that
democracy didnt beat slavery slavery makes no economic sense as treating humans who could use money like property is a net negative on the health of economies. its kinda like doping up youre skipping ethics to get to a cieling faster but if your ladder is shakey it will come crashing down. besides monarchies were way quicker when they decided to abolish slavery. that doesnt make them better but lying about democracy beating slavery kinda negates the argument when in truth we just prefer to have input and are no longer socially willing to abide by full authority. democracy is flawed too, like how it failed in weimar and even the usa can trace their problems down to democracies largest flaw- it equalizes the idiot with the aware. so propaganda exploded, kings didnt need to constantly bombard you with stakes or brainwash you into thinking much a song and a banner his glorious cape would do all that enough. we traded for a more comfy system- not the better one. in ideal conditions without influence from some manipulative monsters- monarchy has the potential to be just as good but way faster cause the mere opinion of royalty can be policy shifting. meanwhile in the usa we have to compete against a wall of ignorance to change much. and theres an incentive from law enforcement to create problems as where the royalty of the past and their aristocracy just didnt need to. provided there was no religious contradiction the peasantry wasnt treated like animals. the idea that the poor walked on eggshells in the royal ages is more an exaggeration. they were more worried about being sick. which is why it took so long for society to ditch royalty.
NCR's "democracy" is run by corrupt politicians. The people have little to no say in it.
They steal anything they can get their hands on - land, money, other resources, but they barely provide anything back. They can't even supply or protect what they have.
House, on the other hand, while also being a greedy businessman who committed some questionable acts, at least knows what he's doing, and does actually rebuild things. And he doesn't restrict personal freedom, unless it is necessary for his plans.
TL;DR: ncr cringe house based
@@36inc Emperor Norton! How ya been, old buddy? Hey, did you hear they finally built that bridge? All thanks to you, man. Alright, well, it's been nice catching up!
@@36inc I think they mean that Democracy is more preferable to slavery. I think you're a bit confused but you got the spirit.
On the one hand house is definitely the best option to have the most secure future for Vegas. But on the other hand, the smiley face robot tells me I’m the best of everything no matter what I do an absolute confidence booster so I have to go with Yes Man on this one
Most accurate thing I've read all day
Fallout 4: So here are the major factions for you to choose from. There's obvious good guys and bad guys, but be careful, there may be plot twists to try and change your mind~
Fallout NV: Here's your options, they all suck. No secret plot twists needed. Now pick your poison.
I like how you draw your lil guy in a Vault-Tec jumpsuit, despite this being really the one Fallout game where ya don't play as a character directly from a vault. (Yes I know Fallout 2 but that guy was descended from the OG Vault Dweller; the Courier is, least to my knowledge, the one protag who has no connection to the vaults).
Well, Doc Mitchell does give you a Vault 21 jumpsuit to wear at the very start of the game, so it kinda makes sense.
you wear a vault suit in the game. when you start playing the game the first outfit you get is a vault suit. new vegas dickriders don't even play the fucking game lmao
@@thejudgeoftheunderground2016it looks more like FO 4's vault suit though
Don't feel bad. Every choice is the wrong choice.
Edit: Kings rule.
We all love grandma Lily
"But you keep killing people"
"OOOO how wacky"
"Uh oh"
I swear, whoever is doing the captions should be given an award. They always match Doobus' chaotic energy perfectly.
This makes me want an entire Doobus cartoon.
This video is perfect i also love how Caesar has that tumour on his head like its a hair bun funniest shit i have ever seen
The Legion is the worst choice
The NCR isn’t much better
House at least provides stability for New Vegas
But Yes Man throws General Oliver off of Hoover Dam, so I know where my loyalty lies
I hope this interaction doesn’t lead to any kind of fallout between us…
Fallout New Vegas
-Benny “can’t escape the mailman”, (former) head of the chairman
I remember doing all the quests and doing my best to set up mutually assured destruction for every faction before doing the (Cut but re-added via mod) joke ending where you just leave.
To me that was the best ending, helping people out then making all the major powers in desperate and weak states before saying "Good bye I never want to see you again, hope you wipe each other out"
Fit the character I accidentally created too.
Me: has a few headcannon ideas on how to improve the lives in New Vegas with Yes Man
Also me: Murders a man who was no threat over a lotto ticket.
Doobus goobus needs to be apart of smiling friends
Listen, House might be autocratic egomaniac hell bend on destroying those who oppose him but he also wants to go to space and, you know, space is pretty cool.
The Enclave also tried going to space once. It... didn't work out.
Another certified classic Mr goobus
This video came in the perfect time for me, I literally started my first playthrough yesterday
Its more like
"You were a courier, but now..now you are different..now you get to deliver items and messages to people back and forth all over the desert."
My current hyperfixation? Covered by my favorite UA-cam animator? Is this the greatest day of my life??
Not yet Baby.
It is the best day of your life. Go make some cookie dough, you earned it!
You have a poor taste in animators.

If you want to make the world a better place, you help the smarter men (man) take control of the future
INCREMENTAL PROGRESS!
I'M SWIFTLY MOVING TOWARDS A SOLUTION WHICH PLEASES NOBODY!
This is beautiful. It's truly beautiful to see rhis wonderful game series get more attention in the wider gaming space.
Why does your goofy ass doodles are making me feel lighter all the sudden :')
