Hey peeps! Apologies for the ropey gameplay in places. Much like looking back at my day one footage on Monday when I started this video, I’m looking back at even the “good” bits now (after many more hours playtime) through the cracks in my fingers. It actually fits perfectly with my point though, you don’t need to be good to get through AC6, you just need the right equipment, and this set up rocks! I've tried to balance making this Chapter 1 guide informative for the harder parts, while not spoiling everything in every mission. Hopefully this helps some people who got stuck early on!
Such a great game, loving all the loadouts you can get. Even better that all the items have the same buy/sell price making it super easy to try out a bunch of stuff without destroying your funds. Great vid as always! Keep it up!
Greatness as always, just got through first chapter myself. Now I’m definitely gonna try it your way. Keep up the great work, can’t wait for the next chapter ;)
Also, this guide presented an insight I haven't encountered before. The "war of attrition" style gameplay is all I'm used to after fighting the likes of Ludwig the Accursed, Fire Giant, and Morgott
Great video. very much appreciate your candor as well as your chill voice delivery with the meat and aggressive play style. I was beginning g to think chapter 2 o ward wasn't for me. Balteus is going down , sooner or later ! started following for Elden Ring. Keep up the quality , man. thank you.
For anyone struggling with over the wall, if you make a beeline for the left side of the wall you can take out all the big guns pretty much at your leisure, sneak attack the ac from above, then mop up in the city
im not an armored core expert, but i played AC4 and ACVD and this armored core feels very souls like with the simplification of damage and defense, the mobility changes, the lock on, the simplification of the scan mode and the estus repair, so yeah, to me feels like a very dark souls armored core...
It’s kind of interesting that, one challenge of fromsoft games is setting up your character in an effective way. That said, if you min max and use only the most op items, it actually robs a lot of the fun imo. So you have to find a way to strike a balance.
Once again Thingsfishy has made me pay 60$ for a game I would normally never give a shot I played elden ring after seeing your first build guide. Then went on to play Ds3 and bloodbourne. And after seeing this I had to get Ac6. So in summation my brain is broken and fromsoft is taking all my money but i wouldny have it any other way. Thanks again
It's my belief that From deserve the support. They are one of a few developers who have integrity and build the best game they can without price gouging or putting micro transactions in. Their dlc content is always top-notch and often has as much content as some other devs' full releases. From are one company I am happy to buy products from at their full asking price.
I probably shouldn't watch this, so I'm going to click away after having heard some initial impressions. Glad you liked it; I'm looking forward to digging in to it myself. Haven't played an AC game since AC2 on the PS2. I was planning on waiting a bit for some initial reviews, but it looks like it's platinum on ProtonDB now, and that's good enough for me. So the only thing holding me back is finishing CS4 first.
I was very stubborn and I wanted to beat him with the pulse blade. Went at it a few hours yesterday. And that accomplishment is probably my proudest moment in gaming. I’m so very glad I didn’t do it the east way.
Jumpy legs OP for Juggernaut. Also, even if you still can't get behind him with the jumpy legs, the vertical plasma missiles will still deal decent damage, as the entire purpose of this weapon type is to hit enemies who are behind bitch shields. Hit him with a double volley, then dodge around using the jumpy legs big jumps, whack him with the sword, and then go ham with whatever else you have. Likely, you can get another full rocket volley off, at least 2 shotgun hits (if that's what you're using), and perhaps another sword combo if you mash hard enough and get decent RNG with his recovery movement.
My philosophy in this game is - if that gun can easily kill MTs in one shot, that's a good gun againt boss too. I beat Baltheus in 5 tries with plasma rifle & plasma missile. But now I use shotgun build for comfortable play.
Honestly, I didn't think it would be a game for me, even after playing it for a few hours. Now I'm 3 playthroughs down and having a ball. Thanks for watching!
@@ThingfishyGaming Firstly, I should never try messaging without my glasses on. Secondly, I'll definitely pick it up at some point, by which time I'll have watched hours of footage and I'll be immediately awesome. Thirdly, after watching your Elden Ring int/dex riposte build on repeat, I'm still stuck at Malekith. 10 hours and counting. So maybe not immediately awesome 🤣
Best thing about this game is it takes (understanding the creations of builds and stats) and (understanding dodge timing and how to take the least amount of damage.)Cuz there is no crutch. Every fight is straight forward. Deal plenty of damage, and try not to take any.)
Another tip is in the Climb the Wall mission, each of the canons on the wall, there's two levels of them, net you like 4k. So it's a good way to make a bunch of money early. Great video as always
another tip if you guys struggling against juggernaut. use vertical missiles.... it made the fight so easy that you will not notice the change in difficulty once rusty leaves.
Imo the tutorial boss is the hardest one from ever made. I’ve beat it a few times and went back to play it again yesterday. I raged again and died. Sometimes it stays outside the boundary for almost the entire fight. And the worst is that it will hover just 1-2 feet outside, just out of range of the pulse blade. So you charge in and slam right against that wall. Waste your blade, and then get hammered. It happened to me over and over. He would fly to the other side of the arena and go out of bounds yet again. Idk. I’m not a fan of this mechanic. Where he can go where he can hit you but you can’t hit him back, and just stay there for as long as it wants. I don’t get why they didn’t just open up the whole map to fight on. The actual mechanics are really fun for that fight, it’s just that one aspect that got me tilted.
Not to brag but i beat Balteus 1st try drunk af. All you need is a big gun, a sword, regular missiles, plasma missiles, a bottle of whiskey and be aggressive.

Hell yeah, what we all been waiting for! Hope you had a nice trip mate
Had a great time, thanks, Saf. Hope you enjoy the vid!
The game is better that I expected
I love it more than I ever imagined I would! Hope you enjoy the vid.
Yea the first part is alright but after baltus when many actually learnt the game it is so much fun
That's an odd way to spell "best game ever made".

one of the best quality videos by the things fishy on this platform thank you for keeping up the good work over here

great video BTW, very different to the massive amount of shitty vids out there...
Always super interested to see what old AC players think of it. Thanks for the message and thanks for watching!
Just realised the bits I get after Mission 1 are Pre-Order items. Not used to FromSoft having stuff like that. You don't need them though!
amazing video, i love it, that intro was awesome man!
Glad you enjoyed it, No! Thanks for watching.

Just got the game today after beating bg3! Lovin it so far but balteus def seems like the first real challenge haha
It's definitely challenging, but it's soooooooo worth it!

Dude your colors pop. Great vid as usual.
Once you get boost kick you can use it to fly farther by spamming it

Holy shit three days and I finally did it!! Bubble gun + laser blade!
GG! Exactly how I beat him the first time. Thanks for watching!
LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
This man boutta make so many builds.

definetly the superior armored souls
I really like it but for some reason haven’t gotten obsessed yet.
Definitely can we get lies of p’s gameplay and tips when it comes out too please
Absolutely! Can't wait for Lies of P. Thanks for watching!
@@ThingfishyGaming yes ofc ever since I found u for these elden ring builds that are always crazy and so good love u man keep it up

Controller, with type B control scheme, camera speed at 10.
How do youtuber keep getting to new game+ or further, i started on the 25th but I just finished chapter 4

The only thing I want to add is some of the parts used are from pre-ordering. Unless I'm dumb and just didn't collect all the combat logs yet.
No, thanks for the nudge on this. They are indeed. Not used to getting preorder stuff in a FS game. Thanks for watching!
Would you ever consider playing Ashen?
Then someone just ups and punches every enemy with just their fists. No weapons, just PUNCH.
Would love to see a dark souls guide
AWSMTASTIK video 🔥
Glad you enjoyed it, Ronnie! Thanks for watching.
Yo fishy when you get back to elden ring pls make a claw build
This game is exactly like Elden Ring.
I didn't get the parts beating the first airship boss?
Yeah, that's my bad. They're preorder parts. Not used to FromSoftware doing that. Thanks for watching!
Your mech named Rusty?
Pls make Lies of P build guides.

Somebody stop this man or he'll even find a way to cheese Kingsfield lmao
I REALLY wanna go back and play the old FromSoft games at some point! Thanks for watching, Speed!
@@ThingfishyGaming what a chad reply, would love to see you break some of the older games tbh lmao
LFG
*tot sound* nooooice 😂
Thanks for watching, Modi!
Fassssssterrrrrrr
Yeah, that doesn’t look like game I’m going to play
No one's going to miss you kiddo
Ok now do bloodborne
@@NeoVandole bro i've platinumed the game, i just want a cool video from him sooner or later (hopefully soon)
Pro tip, don't get started. It's like Anthem but with less weight and a garbage story.
