Ukrainian is very similar to Belarusian and also very close to Ruthenian, Upper Sorbian and Polish languages.
I would say Bulgarian are close to russian language. It is like mix of bulgarian and ukrainian.

Ukranian language have not that much simillarity with russian, i would defenetly said "I would not agree" on this type of quessions
They are both East Slavic languages and they sound similar to foreigners. I am a South Slavic speaker and I would guess Ukrainian just because it has H where Russian has G. Otherwise they would sound pretty much the same to me.
It is just a stereotype from the Past that Ukrainian and Russian are similar. A lot of Ukrainian words closer to Polish and Slovakian, russians do not know them. In the same time a lot of Russian words have similarities with Serbian, Bulgarian.... Probably, some Grammar rules, sentences structure, words endings of Ukrainian and Russian languages are close + Cyrilic alphabet. But a lot of specific words with diffrerent roots.
@@o.k.4794 They still have quite a bit commonalities tho. I think people compare Ukrainian to Russian just because russian is more popular and more learned than polish or bulgarian.

Someone should tell the Albanian German girl to look at an IE tree. The Albanian language doesn't sound like other languages and is not connected to other branches. And is not even east European but rather south European.

He was actually smart to ask how to say "yes" and "no" in each language so he would know if he was getting the questions correct or not. Yet when it came to the Latvian girl, she kept saying "no, no, no" in her language and he interpreted it as "nae = yes" in Korean. 🤣🤣🤣If you pay attention, when she said "no" in Latvian, he said "what", because he clearly misunderstood her answering in her language and thought she responded with Korean "yes". I didn't expect someone speaking in galician in this channel but it's really cool and it makes me feel proud. It's amazing that a Korean UA-cam channel shows this beautiful lenguage of Spain to the entire world.
I have gotten the impression it was basically Portuguese with a Spanish accent. The speaker hadn't made me change my mind.
@@hakanstorsater5090 both Portuguese and Galician come from the same language (galaico-portugues). When Portugal gained his independence from the Kingdom of León the language began to evolve in two different ways, the one spoken in the new Kingdom of Portugal and the one spoken in the Kingdom of Galicia (under leones control). The one spoken in Galicia were simplified and had a lot of castilian influence while in Portugal it maintained a lot of things from the "galaico-portugues" like the "ç". So yes, it's like a mix of Portuguese and Castilian but with less Arabic influences.

I've been many times to Galicia. It's a beautiful part of the world. It's true they claim very vocally their "Celtic" heritage, but they do not look alike at all. E.g. I've been both to Ireland and Galicia and the people look soooooo different. The guy in the video though is a perfect example of how Galicians look like "in general": dark hair and southern European features (Galicia is southern Europe)
@@KrlKngMrtssn I make reference from my Spanish teacher who is from Galicia and had red hair. I asked her about that and she said, " .. well because I'm from Galicia." But yes you're right; I notice a lot of the stock still retain the dark Latin features.

Asking how to say 1-10 in your language is one of the best way to guess what language is, you may not know what exact language is, but it may give you some idea of what the language family, group this language belongs to. Also, you can ask how to say family member (father, mother, son, daughter, brother, sister, etc), natural phenomenon (wind, rain, storm, snow..), common animals and plants, listen to the pronunciation of the language because some languages have unique sounds
I think "hello" or "thank you" would be easier.
