I showed this to one of my besties, who is a survivor of human trafficking. This video and song is really powerful for us both because of what she went through and what she knows. She was the one who told me that red thread is a symbol specifically for victims of "sex" trafficking (a couple anti "sex" trafficking organizations sell bracelets made with red thread, some bracelets are even made by trafficking survivors), so with that in mind she interpreted this video and song as being a song/video about liberation for trafficking victims, and interpreted Alexia as symbolically breaking out and escaping the trafficking industry (the glass box with the hands of the traffickers, and being bound by the red threads), especially with the lines "my body is my temple, my hurt is my hurt" as a reference to trafficking (but can also be interpreted as a general reference to gRape, SA, and SH in general), as if to say "my body is a temple and you will not defile it, my pain is mine, it is valid, and cannot be invalidated" kind of message. She interpreted this video and song as a song of liberation for women of trafficking, and calling women into freedom not just in the physical sense but also mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, referring to the psychological bondage and trauma that needs healing and treatment after their escape in the physical sense. Her interpretation really resonates with me as well and I can really see just how much one can interpret it that way. On top of the more obvious themes of this song/MV being a call to women and a song of women's liberation worldwide in general. 💙🩵

So an interpretation a friend and I got is it represents all of the trafficking victims who are held in captivity, and breaking free of that by trying to escape and help bring down the trafficking rings. On top of the general interpretation I got that it represents women in captivity socially, politically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. This song and video is a clarion call for the liberation of women everywhere, no matter the creed, country, and class. Rise up, sisters. Your body is YOUR temple and yours alone. They do not own us and they never will. Send a message in every way to every inhuman monster that tries to take away your agency and autonomy, your right to consent, to every gleeful cultist demon that wants so badly to convince themselves of the delusional lie "your body, our choice" that they will have to FAFO on that one. She was the one who told me that red thread is a symbol specifically for victims of "sex" trafficking (a couple anti "sex" trafficking organizations sell bracelets made with red thread, some bracelets are even made by trafficking survivors), so with that in mind she interpreted this video and song as being a song/video about liberation for trafficking victims, and interpreted Alexia as symbolically breaking out and escaping the trafficking industry (the glass box with the hands of the traffickers, and being bound by the red threads), especially with the lines "my body is my temple, my hurt is my hurt" as a reference to trafficking (but can also be interpreted as a general reference to gRape, SA, and SH in general), as if to say "my body is a temple and you will not defile it, my pain is mine, it is valid, and cannot be invalidated" kind of message.
She interpreted this video and song as a song of liberation for women of trafficking, and calling women into freedom not just in the physical sense but also mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, referring to the psychological bondage and trauma that needs healing and treatment after their escape in the physical sense. Her interpretation really resonates with me as well and I can really see just how much one can interpret it that way. On top of the more obvious themes of this song/MV being a call to women and a song of women's liberation worldwide in general.

Red thread is also one of the symbols used for trafficking victims. So an interpretation a friend and I got is it represents all of the trafficking victims who are held in captivity, and breaking free of that by trying to escape and help bring down the trafficking rings.
On top of the general interpretation I got that it represents women in captivity socially, politically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. This song and video is a clarion call for the liberation of women everywhere, no matter the creed, country, and class.
Rise up, sisters. Your body is YOUR temple and yours alone. They do not own us and they never will. Send a message in every way to every inhuman monster that tries to take away your agency and autonomy, your right to consent, to every gleeful cultist demon that wants so badly to convince themselves of the delusional lie "your body, our choice" that they will have to FAFO on that one.
