If you're referring to the blue wire, when the occupancy sensor is triggered, the two black leads are connected, and power is applied to the load. When the occupancy sensor is NOT triggered, the load will be connected to the blue wire, which goes to the light switch. Not sure if that was your question. Hopefully I answered it. @@HandymanLand thankyou for the reply. i would like to view a video of a 3-way motion sensor used in conjunction with a 3-way switch (not electronic). i have an apartment on the second floor, when entering the apartment i would like the light to illuminate when entering the apartment. upstairs, l would like to use a manual 3 way switch.

is there not a label stating "for 3 wire" attached to your 3 way switch? so why isnt that wire being ignored?
