Thanks for the video. I've looked everywhere for a straightforward video explaining how to remove those pins. Your video solved it for me. Thanks again :)
Great video! I found this through a google picture search, looking for the exact connector that you used. It was in an icemaker and the 2 wires to a motor corroded over time and came loose. I need to re-strip the wires and put new female connectors on, then reinsert them into the connector. I believe the male side is OK. What is the P/N on the Molex connector? What is the right term for the metal female crimp on the end of the wire that gets inserted into the connector? (Sorry to be such a novice. I had to drill one of the pins out that was hung in the connector. Didn't know this handy tab trick!)
AMAZING thank you for posting this!!! i'm resleeving cables on a corsair reservoir and this video is perfect for getting in close to see the details :D
Thanks for this. Sure they're only a few dollars, plus a few dollars more for postage, plus a 2 month wait from China but when you need one and there's an unused one lying around, this is exactly what I needed.
Thank you, I needed this... I have molex connectors on my bow thruster (connecting the thruster to the joystick 🕹️) so I need to remove the plug so I can fit the cable thru the hole up to the fly bridge manoeuvring position..
The ones in the video have been moved from plug to plug 3 times over 7 years and are still working today. Yes, you can metal fatigue them, but the good quality ones will stand up.

Hands down the absolute best videography on this subject. Period.
Best detail with that cut-away too.
Great camera work. Well explained simple language, great tutorial.
@@paulcormican7994 Thank you.
Thank You soooo much for doing this excellent video showing how easy it is to remove the pins from these Molex connectors. 👍😁

But how to remove female sides? Can female internal be replaced in connector? mine broke and wire came out.
Same way. It also has the little ears on each side.
very helpful, thanks for taking the time to show this!
You are most welcome!
Thank you for this!
Thanks. Great video.

Cool 👌👍💯🌹🌹

they have simple tools to do this that resemble a hollow tube. Your method would be used in an emergency.
Thank you!

It is alot harder when the wire is broken at the joint and the pin is stuck in there without its wire…
True. My solution is to use a fine nosed forceps clamped where the wire was.
thank you
You are very welcome.
So - that's the male pin. What about the female?
There is no difference in removing them.
I wouldn't reuse those pins once the tabs have been bent back!

It must be taking a lot of effort as I hear you grunting from time to time
Some effort and lots of focus! Plus there's the old guy factor.
Thank you!!
You're welcome!
