I commute to and from work on my WowGo 2 and it’s working great! It’s only a mile each way but since I work at an airport, half of that mile is through the terminal, on a floor that’s smooth as silk, so the ride is fun and fantastic!!! I get a lot of looks from people (probably because I’m a 57 yr old on an electric longboard) and lots of positive comments: “Nice board!”, “I need one of those”, “Now THAT’S the way to go!”, “Can I borrow that?”, etc.

As someone who came from a regular cruising style of skating, I recently started commuting the 5.5 miles to my job on my new Blitzart Hurricane Electric Longboard and absolutely loving it. Having been paying for Lyft rides for the past month, which are anywhere from $10-$20 dollars per ride, its so much cheaper to ride my board to work and back. Its freeing and fun getting to work now.
Damn. That was a cool video. I am quite surprised how short a range a factory board has. I commute 30+ kilometres a day on my self made monster. It does come at the cost of it being quite heavy
I've used my electric skateboard to commute to and from work for about a year and a half. Pros (quick, easy, simple) cons (rainy days it becomes dangerous.....that is all). If you're using it to ride to work it's find. if you're using it to ride to meet friends for lunch...you're in a bit of trouble as you'll have to carry it around with you unless you're willing to leave it somewhere (to most likely get stolen). In my opinion it's one of the best ways to get to commute so long as you have a place to store it. I ride an Evolve ONE board. Riding it 5 days a week for about one and a half years. No crashes and only part that needed replacing was the motor plate and wheels.
There are so many nice little paths to skate. I really wish the U.S. had more dedicated bike paths and bike racks. Most of ours dont go anywhere useful
Had G2T for a few months, it's a great board. I had to use support and they fixed the problem quickly and competently. Recent favorite feature is cruise. At 6 mph I can just cruise around with little worries or for videos with two free hands. Look forward to using it more for commute and fun. Solid investment at just $600. From a 3yr Boosted rider.
I ordered my G2T in february and got it 2 days ago. Today I let one of the employees at my work take the board home and use it untill tomorrow because he really liked it and had a normal crouser board to go home on and I got so much work to do that I do not have time to use it now. I used it a couple of times and for a guy never been on a skateboard before I learned it fast. Already cruse at 15km/h. Will keep riding and improving.
You could also add a nicely sanded and finished (linseed oil is great) wooden touch plate to the wall so the wheels don't scuff the white wall and you can make is long enough for either board.
I think this way of transportation has a lot of potential. If you would modify the board with a little hook or cirkel on it so you attach it to a chain lock. You could basicly lock it anywhere. You could lock it to a bicycle stand or a pole and you don't have to carry it with you everywhere. The last thing that has to become better is the battery life and range and ofcourse the rules in the country
I've been doing this on my Riptide R1X with a surf-skate adapter. It's been almost a year now. 8-10 miles a day. Going to the hospital at night for emergencies (when I'm on call). I did it for over a Year. Using Bart. Here in the Bay. Now I bought me a new Wrx 👌😎
Kevin Salazar Ayy I’m in the east bay and I just ordered a boosted plus. 🤟
I'm glad I could find this considering that my job is about 4 miles away and I use it as a basically a daily commute so it's good to know that there are other options as well.
Dude rides skateboard to the gym to run on the treadmill. Could have just went for a run...
I run at the gym cause the pavement hurts my knees.
esk8 duo run in the forest
@@marcusmaxwell9191 i would love to do that if i didnt have to drive an hour away to get to the closes mountain
esk8 duo rip, i live in norway, the closest forest is like 4 min away
I’ve been commuting with my DIY Electric Skateboard for almost 2 years now. I travel 125miles+ (EVERY WEEK) & that’s just from home too work & work too home. Haven’t drove a car since
Yuuto Shifune he has it on his channel
wear a helmet buddy
rogue p4cket Lol no one wears helmets in holland. If u see a guy with a helmet here it’s like seeing someone with a bright pink bike with unicorns on it when they’re a 40 year old guy
For storing your board on the road you can maybe use a bikechain?
No helmet? Come on man..
I use a RedOxx backpack to carry my batt charger. No complaints about my plugging in the board while visiting cafes and pubs. Metroboard is my daily transport. Currently waiting for the new MetroboardX that I purchased to ship hopefully this week! I agree with the need to ware safety gear. Eventually you will come off the board and ouch! For me I've thrown myself off the board twice. Thankfully I had my gear on. No major problems.
Come on dude...wear a helmet. If not for you, for the impressionable kids that surely watch your channel and don't know any better.
