Nice video and good point. I am African and I really get what you are saying. I might have a different opinion as to why Africans and African Americans might have different views of life today. It is important to know that these stereotypes are wrong and are recent stereotypes. Africans had been slaves in Africa just as you all African Americans were slaves in America. The 2 largest economies in Africa only gained its independence from colonial masters about 54 yrs ago. Which means they had been slaves all through the colonial era. Freedom only came when some Africans came to America to study and saw African Americans fighting back and causing laws to be changed in their favor. The Africans took these ideas back to African and started various movements that freed countries like Ghana, Nigeria and South Africa. This was the history most of the Africans had before coming to live or study in America. The story of the civil rights movement and great accomplishment of the African American for years. You are right that there is a disconnect. I don't know where it all got twisted because most of our leaders in Africa who liberated the Continent from the Europeans were members of the civil right movement back in the days as Students in America. That means they identified with African Americans and embraced the struggle which had a trickle down effect to the liberation of a continent. Of the top of my mind I just think African Americans best role models are gone. The like of Martin Luther King or even Malcom X and various leaders who died in the struggle. A different culture took over and as Africans, we don't look too good. It must be a divide and rule tactics where our differences are pointed out to us because it is obvious that if we are united, we will achieve more as black people. Whites forced over 100,000 Native Americans to cultivate tobacco, rice, and indigo. As a result,many Black Native Americans were exterminated or sold into slavery after they had wars with the whites or other Indian tribes. Like people in Africa, the Native Americans sold each other into slavery for guns and cheap goods. The whites concentrated on encouraging the Indians to fight each other so they could buy the losing tribal members as slaves. They also kidnapped Native Americans and made them slaves. Because the Black Native Americans were farmers they concentrated on enslaving Black Native Americans. Black Native Americans who were not sold into slavery had to identify themselves as 'free colored", the same as freed African slaves. This was done by the government to make sure the Black Native Americans would lose their rights to land stolen by the whites. Since most Black Native Americans were sold into slavery or identified as "free colored"they did not mix with whites. During most of the years of the slave trade, there were about 5 documented hurricanes in the entire Atlantic during any given year, and yes, ships were lost. Nice video and good point. I am African and I really get what you are saying. I might have a different opinion as to why Africans and African Americans might have different views of life today. It is important to know that these stereotypes are wrong and are recent stereotypes. Africans had been slaves in Africa just as you all African Americans were slaves in America. The 2 largest economies in Africa only gained its independence from colonial masters about 54 yrs ago. Which means they had been slaves all through the colonial era. Freedom only came when some Africans came to America to study and saw African Americans fighting back and causing laws to be changed in their favor. The Africans took these ideas back to African and started various movements that freed countries like Ghana, Nigeria and South Africa. This was the history most of the Africans had before coming to live or study in America. The story of the civil rights movement and great accomplishment of the African American for years. You are right that there is a disconnect. I don't know where it all got twisted because most of our leaders in Africa who liberated the Continent from the Europeans were members of the civil right movement back in the days as Students in America. That means they identified with African Americans and embraced the struggle which had a trickle down effect to the liberation of a continent. Of the top of my mind I just think African Americans best role models are gone. The like of Martin Luther King or even Malcom X and various leaders who died in the struggle. A different culture took over and as Africans, we don't look too good. It must be a divide and rule tactics where our differences are pointed out to us because it is obvious that if we are united, we will achieve more as black people. That is my little contribution and just hope that the black nation can unite and achieve more as all Martin Luther kings dreams are not fully fulfilled.

Black Native Americans lived on the prime farming lands of New England, the Southeast and the Midwest. The first slaves in the United States were Black Native Americans.
Whites forced over 100,000 Native Americans to cultivate tobacco, rice, and indigo. As a result,many Black Native Americans were exterminated or sold into slavery after they had wars with the whites or other Indian tribes. Like people in Africa, the Native Americans sold each other into slavery for guns and cheap goods. The whites concentrated on encouraging the Indians to fight each other so they could buy the losing tribal members as slaves. They also kidnapped Native Americans and made them slaves. Because the Black Native Americans were farmers they concentrated on enslaving Black Native Americans.
Black Native Americans who were not sold into slavery had to identify themselves as 'free colored", the same as freed African slaves. This was done by the government to make sure the Black Native Americans would lose their rights to land stolen by the whites. Since most Black Native Americans were sold into slavery or identified as "free colored"they did not mix with whites. The following books talk about the Native American slave trade Gary Zellar, African Creeks: Estelvste and the Creek Nation (2007), James F. Brooks, Captives and Cousins: Slavery, Kinship, and Community in the Southwest Borderlands (2002); Tiya Miles, Ties That Bind: The Story of an Afro-Cherokee Family in Slavery and Freedom (2006); and Theda Purdue, (2005).

He argues that slave ships couldn't carry 400 people across the Atlantic because of the weight. But, the average tonnage of an 18th century vessel was about 960,000 pounds. If you suppose that everyone of the 400 people weighed about 200 pounds, you get 80,000 pounds. Which means, the average ship had more than enough tonnage to carry 400 human beings. As for hurricanes. Hurricanes aren't giant storms that take over the whole Atlantic and make it impassable. Hurricanes are highly localized storms which occur with more frequency during a certain part of the year. During most of the years of the slave trade, there were about 5 documented hurricanes in the entire Atlantic during any given year, and yes, ships were lost. But, the vast majority of shipping wouldn't have been impacted. His evidence is......not evidence. It's a parody of common sense.

How come we aren’t using dna to link family lineages in America? We know we were torn apart & kidnapped. Only thing we consider that makes us related is European surnames and marriage licenses. That’s how we are tracking our lineage? So we are going to skip over finding our relatives here to find african relatives who bloodlines are mixed with the entire eastern world ...
these are the people who wont take a dna test. its obviously accurate. so when a white person takes the test and it tells them what european countries he or she comes from...is that telling a lie...no! dna test is accurate
Ancestry tests do not use science to produce results. It’s not like dna tests to determine if a child belongs to a father. Because the ancestors are dead. They use research databases through last names which for blacks doesn’t even go past slavery.
