    Thank you my brother so much for clarifying this misinformation. I've seen these video's about Black Americans not being of African decent ..I still use & prefer African American over just Black Americans we are far more than just a color. I've had my DNA done a couple of times by different companies, just to see & compare ..My DNA tracked very high to West Africa..but I was surprised that in my ad mixture I had some Asian ( Filipino )mixed in. Strange one of my best buddies was Filipino & was married to a sister....We need to employ more critical thinking skills..before we make these claims.. We already had a big hub-bug about the Netflix series Cleopatra a few months ago. about her being Black or white..But the bottom line is ancient Khemet (Egypt) is in Africa & the pharaonic period was Black & African.. Again thank you for your " Reality Check" on this topic..

      Just don't fully believe this DNA stuff, it's created by whites with racial bias. Since you said you have Filipino mix, it better to know that the original Filipinos were blacks before the mongolid/Asian mixture.

      Most African slaves were brought to the Caribbean and Brazil, only 4% of African slaves were brought to North America. This means the rest of blacks were already here which is confirmed by Christopher Columbus who wrote in his diary that there were black people in the Americas when he arrived.
      All you have to do is look at the 3,500 year old Olmec heads which are clearly African. Even the original Buddha statues of Asia were black so why is it so hard to accept blacks were also the first in the Americas? There's a reason black Americans don't look like Africans, it's because they are two completely different genome types. The reason we don't call white Americans 'European Americans' is because they've become a new group due to an ethno genesis and the same with black Americans.

    I'd say that the malagasy people of Madagascar are a mixture of Asian and African, where the oceanic/melanesian people are more closely related to asians. Same with pacific islanders and/or Polynesian. The first aboriginal group of people, or migrants, left africa over seventy thousand years ago. Of course genetics and dna changed over time, but all of their distant ancestors came from africa

    How do these people explain away DNA results? When you submit a test they have no idea who you are. My results showed Nigerian and other Wesr African ancestry but also showed English, Irish and Scandinavian. How could that occur if we are supposed to be indigenous? I was also shocked to see that I have lots of white fourth, fifth cousins.Was that all a set up by Ancestry? This is downright ridiculous. We have African origins I don’t even get why anyone would even want to deny that.

      Spending actual time in West Africa gave me the huge eye opening 1st hand experience that NO WE ARE NOT AFRICANS. Our ancestors certainly were Africans but modern Black Americans are much, much, much different. Black Americans are a totally new people. Genetically and culturally, black Americans are Americans. AA's don't come from one African tribe, country, or region. AA's are a mixture of over 100 different African ethnic groups, as well as European admixture, that came to America, blended, and formed a completely new culture and people. Black Americans are AMERICANS. There is no "home" in Africa

    There is a theory that mali made it to America in the 1300s & another theory that in 1525 or 1526 another group of Africans (not sure which country) came to America and mixed in with natives. So when those people, see pictures of black people in Native American clothing, they are seeing those people, but they don’t realize, they still came from Africa, they just arrived in USA before slavery.

    • @AntonsClass
      @AntonsClass  Рік тому +4

      Those people arrived, most likely, in Mexico or South America, and we're quickly assimilated and absorbed by the very large population of indigenous Americans.

  • @realboxingfan2511
    @realboxingfan2511 5 місяців тому +2

    Black people are indigenous to every continent in the world. I respect how any black person chooses to identify. Much of this is because black people in America were all grouped together and called the same thing, it doesnt mean we all share the same story.
    Black people have been in the Americas for so long, is it inconceivable to believe they didn't mix in/mate with natives/aboriginal or that in face that they aren't just indigenous period?
    Just as a black person here can be of West African descent, they can also be of indigenous descent. Africans hold on to their tribal names because it tells their story. When you're in America, there is no tribal name you're just supposed to call yourself black and accept that each and everyone else has the same slave story and was picked up from West Africa somewhere. For some, it's the case, for others, it may not be. If your family tells you, you have hebrew descent, african descent or indigenous descent be proud and continue to represent your culture and honor your story and your ancestors. I love black with all of our uniqueness and commonalities.

  • @rosam674
    @rosam674 Рік тому +2

    Africans identify by clan and tribe which come through the paternal line (+ nationality due to colonialism). Traditionally (in some tribes) the clan name may be used in place of your given name. Black American men would be able to trace their roots by their Y DNA but not the women (they will be considered foreign unless they marry into a family). But if your blackness came through the maternal line, this won't work. How do you fit in? I see a lot of black Americans coming to Africa and going wherever they like to find belonging. My advice for those who want to be truly embraced is to go where you can prove your DNA belongs. They will be more willing to fully receive you back. The other places will embrace you only as a guest in transit.

Identifies as Chinese and there's no uproar. The same thing with the Latinos the same thing with the other people. That are like a couple of generations removed but the minute a black person claims their African Roots it's a problem. Y'all are quick to say oh but you're just an American. No that's not how that works we get that he was born there. But you're ignoring the fact that there are indigenous Americans and a little over 574 tribes that will tell you otherwise that are native Americans. They will tell you that you're not even American yourself. You're just an immigrant that came here black people are the ones who were taken here. They're the only group of people that did not willingly come. So your people strip them of every damn thing in the last thing they have is there African identity that you also want to take from there. Just because you discovered there was white people still on the African continent. And they're stealing identities to we are tired of this. If you are not of African descent you have no reason to chime in on this.

      Okay I'm going to explain this. Many Africans obviously you know go by their tribe and then outside of Africa they go by their nationality. Even though we say clan but I say ethnic group. But anywho you are genetically related to many ethnic groups in Africa. And no it wouldn't be insulting if you try to reconnect to those rules. What's really insulting as to say how you're not African and then look down upon the people who claim that they are. You have to understand that there's plenty of white people trying to take your shoes. What I mean by that is that they are taking your nationality they are taking your identity. Just look at how these so-called white South Africans are telling Continental born africans that they're not African because they not living in Africa. They even go as far to tell African-Americans that theyre more African than them. I'm like how can you be more African than the people who are originally from the continent. Which DNA is on the continent. I have to keep reminding these faux white African Europe people that they can never be African or more African-American. There's no such thing as being more African than an African. Had to ask him what tribe they were and they couldn't even say I might how is all of you in the same tribe if you were indigenous to Africa you do will be so many tries. White people only have their three little ethnic groups here which is traced back to Europe.

    You guys are an admixture. Why do you only claim Africa and not any of your other heritage? Maybe this is an ignorant question but as an African, we would call you mixed unless your phenotype looks authentically African. In some rural places, you will be perceived to be a foreigner because we don't go by the one-drop rule here. So we would see you as part African and we would expect you to also embrace your other heritage.

      It's simple, quite actually. Because that non-African racial admixture that us so-called "Black Americans" possess was acquired through the forcible sexual exploitation and outright RAPING of our enslaved African ancestors‼How can one seek common ground with one's ancestors' rapists⁉It's both impossible and ridiculous. Moreover, that nominal White European racial component has never defined and bonded our Black American people together as our shared African ancestry.

      You don't have the authority to speak for Africa if you lack information. Please educate yourself. This one drop rule you're speaking about applies because of how we related more to tribes/nations more than colour. We're the only race in the world that has all types of shades which is from the darkest all the way to the most lightskin. Albinism also proves that we're the mother of all people. As far as the indigenous American Africa concept. It is no different then 'black' Americans claim kinship with Africa. The whole pan African hypothesis is fantasy. Americans seeking a kinship with Africans do not understand they are raised TRIBAL. 'Black people outside of their tribe, whether African or American do not matter. Nice to know you, thank you very much... my concern is with my tribe. Get OVA it. 'black' Africans don't care for or entertain a need for pan African diaspora malarkey. It is a concept, not a reality. Just like the indigenous American African. But the two actually connect to point out something something significant. How uncomfortable 'black' Americas are at being Americans who are 'black'. A craving to be anything but what they are. A mixture of African, Asian and European blood and culture. Uniquely AMERICAN and BLESSED. I do not understand why we who are MORE want to be LESS.
