Such a civilized and humble guy just doing his job and not trying to be the annoying center of attention like a Piers Morgan would be. I am not sure they can find anyone as good as him to do the show, he was brilliant.
I'm from Ireland, I used to watch Question Time, it was so professional, very authentic and Fìona Bruce is not a patch on David. He was a consumate professional, I could listen to his mild mannered nuances all day, brilliant broadcasting voice. I always found him fair, he was not afraid of anyone, be it Lib. Dem, Tory or Labour, that's the way it should be in a democracy, posters on here stating good riddance and he was far too left, are only showing up their own political and prejudicial shortcomings. There was nobody better than him at this since 1994, and there will be nobody better than him in in 2024.
David Dimbleby's been a super Question Time host and transformed the programme from a rather stuffy, staid affair to one of BBC's flagship political shows. However, I was disappointed by the lacklustre panel for his swansong, with even Jo Brand adding little to the proceedings. Dennis Skinner, Jacob Rees-Mogg, Ken Clarke, Caroline Lucas and Piers Morgan would have been a more fitting finale.
Loved this guy. I only found out about QT in American about 3 years ago and have watched just because it is so interesting and Dimbleby is so awesome as a host. Love the show and the idea of the show, and DD carried it off perfectly. I will miss him.
Not sure what Lucas being a remainer has got to do with anything. UKIP have been massively over-represented on QT for ages, despite not having a single MP (they briefly had one, but he wasn't elected as a Ukipper). Indeed, you could blame the BBC for their rise to an extent as they've given Farage and co a platform they didn't deserve. The green party only has one MP and she happens to be a strong debater, so if the greens are to be fairly represented, Lucas will naturally get invited on often.
Nice comment about the political pressure regarding hand picked audiences , they always look very engineered and more of a diversity box ticking exercise
The same ol same old, views of the few. Well why else is she there ? No one voted for her did they ? Actors from any other group afforded the platform ?

What a true gentlemen. Nice that he marked his exit by saying a few words, not at all self-indulgent, and all the while retaining his composure.

This show is what got me interested in politics and free speech. A great chair. Goodbye
@Law T you obviously didn't get my sarcasm in my point: its what got me interested in free speeche etc. I actually agree with you.
End of an era
What a terrible goodbye episode for David Dimbleby. I'll bet that secretly, he's devastated.
He will be missed 25 years fair play to him
He should be Sir David Dimbleby.
Wait 'til the New Year !
He's looking very fit and fresh for an 80 year old
Are they clapping for the great job he did, or are they glad to see him go? That roar of applause was awfully fast and thunderous?

jo brand ? what a waste of air time, is this the best the bbc can come up with ? pretty poor show
@@tomrawley6549 Totally agree 5 to 1 remainers left wing bias at its best
If he’s anything like brexit, he might stay! Absolute legend wish him all the best. He’ll be hard to replace.
Accept the result.

This is an amazing brilliant show ... it should be replicated in multiples all over the world.
Question time as never been the same since David left he made the show exciting unlike Fiona Bruce who's made the show BORING
This theme tune is gold
Please come back David, Fiona is doing a terrible job.
Caroline Lucas gets so much airtime.
She's a Remainer...............just saying!
she is literally one mp for her party but never off the airwaves, what has she got on them i wonder !

Great host. Loved QT, Hope Fiona does well.
Anytime chris
I thought it was 4 remain against 1 leave but dimbleby made it 5, maitless or coburn should have took over.
About time who chose him?
He was never a patch on his father - one of the real greats of broadcasting.
Should get Jeremy Clarkson to replace Dimbleby

90% of the program was regarding brexit yet they had 4 remainers and one pro brexit panelist. Bias BBC?
revealed his bias and why not ? b4 he goes with that David Davis jibe!
Now he can prattle full-time for Remain!
We say goodbye to an impartial Question Time host and welcome a starch Conservative one in Fiona Bruce.
The right-wingers say she's left-wing bias, and the left-wingers say she's right-wing biased! The joys of public service broadcasting...
Coffee Arts 😅😅😅
Never was this POS impartial....thank fack the thing has pissed off....
Fiona should stick to reading the news she's rubbish host to be honest
Bye bye and good riddance so bias
Thank you Mr. Objectivity. Your divine status has been acknowledged.
