As a mixed race person of brown and white background brought up in the UK, it is clear to me that white middle aged people HATE when the word "racism" is used as it reminds them that it exists and they want to believe that the country has come a long way (which is has). As a male, I would never preach to a women about what child birth was like. I've never experienced it, just in the same way a middle aged white person probably hasn't experienced racism to tell me that it doesn't exist. People of colour know very well when it exists just like a woman knows when she's giving birth and how it feels.

First generation American, Army vet who has always heard Harry was a good soldier and humanitarian. I’ve not met him directly but I have deployed with Team Rubicon many times. Harry is a member of Team Rubicon and those who have volunteered beside him have said only good things about him. I was only aware he had married an American, I glanced through coverage of their wedding and was very happy for him. Being bored and quarantined I’ve researched how they are doing. I noticed how miserable he looks, how she literally manhandles him and has an obnoxious phony way way of speaking. I don’t like her and wondered if she was using Harry’s emotional injuries to control him when I learned about Canada and LA. He’s a combat vet x2, 90% of which have PTSD at some level. Vets are often manipulated and taken advantage of. It’s pretty obvious she’s isolating and dominating him. Then I learned she’s black and claims that is why public opinion of her is so bad. I had no idea she was black until a week ago. As someone married to a man of a different race/ethnicity it’s offensive she plays the race card instead of acknowledging her bullying behavior is the reason most don’t like her. Very sad bc Meghan could have been a wonderful of example of an inspirational American woman of color. Instead she’s a total embarrassment.
@@Wanamaker1946 I really wish I was wrong but I was in the army a long time. I know a little about PTS and have seen individuals prey on their emotional injury. Usually a romantic partner. Harry was so active in the veteran community particularly Invictus Games, Team Rubicon. Harry was getting as much as he was giving when involved with his peers. Not saying that in a negative way but any member of TR are so thankful to have a purpose and camaraderie again. I’m sure his service work with fellow veterans was a healthy outlet for him too. He WAS so proud of having served twice in combat. He absolutely didn’t have to deploy to combat zones in Afghanistan. That was his identity and he’s literally been stripped of his uniform. He can’t wear it ever again even on Veterans holidays when he always led honors. He’s not even recognized as a veteran anymore. I was so happy for him bc I’m grateful for what he’s done for vets. I was excited to learn about his wife and couldn’t believe what I was finding. MM is extremely dangerous IMO. I know in the U.S. 25 veterans die daily at their own hand. Broken relationships with loved ones, their support system non existent with no emotional help. That sounds exactly where Harry is. God forbid.

Well I don't know about you but the woman who criticised Laurence as being a "white privileged male" was far from respectful. As a mixed race person of brown and white background brought up in the UK, it is clear to me that white middle aged people HATE when the word "racism" is used as it reminds them that it exists and they want to believe that the country has come a long way (which is has). As a male, I would never preach to a women about what child birth was like. First generation American, Army vet who has always heard Harry was a good soldier and humanitarian. I’ve not met him directly but I have deployed with Team Rubicon many times. Harry is a member of Team Rubicon and those who have volunteered beside him have said only good things about him. I was only aware he had married an American, I glanced through coverage of their wedding and was very happy for him. Being bored and quarantined I’ve researched how they are doing. I noticed how miserable he looks, how she literally manhandles him and has an obnoxious phony way way of speaking. I don’t like her and wondered if she was using Harry’s emotional injuries to control him when I learned about Canada and LA. He’s a combat vet x2, 90% of which have PTSD at some level. Vets are often manipulated and taken advantage of. It’s pretty obvious she’s isolating and dominating him. Then I learned she’s black and claims that is why public opinion of her is so bad. I had no idea she was black until a week ago. As someone married to a man of a different race/ethnicity it’s offensive she plays the race card instead of acknowledging her bullying behavior is the reason most don’t like her. Very sad bc Meghan could have been a wonderful of example of an inspirational American woman of color. Instead she’s a total embarrassment.

In the US, there is a nasty Jim Crow law that existed over 120 years that dictated your race if you were 1/4 black (grandparent). If the case was one of your grandparents was black you were black and thus could be legally discriminated against. Though racial discrimination is illegal, it still runs deep in American culture.
