  • Well it has been a while since I shared a drone showreel. Here are some shots from my drone of the winter past and the summer to come. All the shots were taken in the Cairngorms National Park in Scotland. I think a few of the shots are the first of there kind from a drone, ice skating on Loch Avon and fly fishing on the River Spey! Enjoy:) Hit HD for a nicer view!
    The film is all shot from my DJI Inspire 1 drone with the X3 camera, apart from one shot of the ski jump which is from my DJI Osmo:). Check out my website if you are looking for a filmmaker who is also a drone cinematographer www.perfectview...
    I enjoy the drone cinematography part of my filmmaking, great fun getting out there with it, and it's basically a boys toy but you can do incredible things with it and add to your normal filmmaking. The film is made up of shots from the Cairngorms since about September last year.

    The United Kingdoms last true untouched (or lightly touched) wilderness.... I also went to Pennines/Snowdonia but there is nothing quite like the Scottish Highland/Cainagorms... the other mountain regions are too commercialized. In the US we have the Rockies as it's so vast there still plenty of untouched areas in the Rockies.

      Thanks glad you like the film and the Cairngorms. They are lovely and kind of take them for granted in the back garden.
      I was thinking the Rockies were in Canada. Had to google and didn't realise they stretched from Alaska to Canada to New Mexico. Huge mountain range:)

Would you be willing to allow us to use some of your amazing footage in our video of the track? We would of course credit and link to your page. Could we discuss possibly? Great work. Best wishes.

    Gorgeous intro! If you hadn't said it was shot with the X3 I'd have guessed X5! Can I ask what in-app camera settings you use i.e. Colour (None or LOG) and Style (sharpness, contrast and saturation), and do you use any physical filters such as ND?

    • @extremefilm
      @extremefilm  8 років тому

      +Martin Groves Hi Martin I use none, sharpness -1 and ND filters. You basically have to have ND filters as the camera doesn't have enough settings to get the correct shutter speed for film. Hope that helps:)
