We have NEVER HEARD OF KEVIN THE CARROT! We don't have these UK Aldi Kevin The Carrot Christmas Ads here in the USA. And our biggest question after watching these? WHY NOT? The UK has some pretty amazing adverts and we are feeling the lack of entertainment here in America with our stale ads these days. If this video doesn't get you into the Christmas spirit, we don't know what will! And that FOOD!? We don't have ANY of that food here in the States! The British Christmas dinners are SO DIFFERENT to our American dinners! We LOVED this episode and we're sure you will too. Thanks Kevin for putting us into the Holiday mood! Thank you SO much for watching! If you enjoy our content, please consider subscribing to our channel, it is the BEST way to support our channel and it's FREE! Also, please click the Like button. Christmas traditions was bought to the uk by Queen Victoria's husband Prince Albert he introduced the Christmas trees to the nation all other Christmas traditions were adapted from charles Dickens...and our own traditions added
My Mum absolutely adores Kevin the Carrot, I remember when they first brought out the toys, I bought Kevin, Katie & the kids for her one Xmas! I might see if there's any new ones for her? 🤔🙂
23:49 The line about "How would Katie explain to the kids?" That really hit home, reminded me of our first Christmas without our Dad, it was hard & hardly felt like celebrating. My sympathies to any family who is spending their first Xmas without a loved one. ♥️💯
When you finally visit you have to go around Xmas so you can go to a pantomime! Thats basically what these ads are based on, so if you loved these you would adore the Xmas pantos
Traditionally you leave out a mince pie (or maybe a slice of Christmas cake), a glass of something alcoholic (co-incidentally it’s always whatever your Dad likes drinking ; ) and a carrot for the reindeer. In the morning there would be an empty glass, crumbs on a plate and the carrot would have a big bite out of it!
We have Kevin and Katie plushies that are dressed in Christmas sweaters. They are so cute, but only see the light of day at Christmas time. I’m glad you both enjoyed the adverts x
I'd forgotten how good some of the earlier Kevin ads were! We had a guest from Boston, USA, visit us just before Christmas, so we gave him a traditional Christmas meal. A few things amazed him. Our roast potatoes, maple syrup roasted parsnips, and Christmas crackers which he'd never even seen before. He wanted parsnips every day during his stay and took all of the little gifts from the crackers home with him. It was lovely to share our traditions.
I work for Aldi and kevin the carrot day could be chaotic. Honestly queues right round the car park. There's even plates and Christmas decorations for your tree. Wrapping paper, the lot. My son even has pjs 😂
I shop in aldi every week and never heard of Kevin, as I don't like adverts so adverts make me say ok you have got in way of what I want to watch, so I won't buy whatever your selling Like this alltogether is fine I can choose but as a customer I've never heard of Kevin
I'm sat here watching your video, looking at me is plum paloompa the plum crack toy. We always buy at least one of the stuffed toys each year at Xmas. Now they're doing Kevin toys at Easter. You really are missing out.
The best joke about lockdown was, That if you want to vaccinate the whole of the British population in days, Just get the Aldi staff to run the vaccination centers👍 🤣😂🤣😂
I was OK until the "I see dead parsnips" line. From that point on I was captivated and couldn't stop laughing. Thankyou so much for finding this compilation of adverts.
In case you were wondering: the narrator of the ads is Jim Broadbent. He played Bridget's father in Bridget Jones's Diary, and one of the teachers in Harry Potter, amongst many other film roles.
Kevin the Carrot is part of the UK Christmas tradition and has been for a number of years. He’s a married carrot. His wife’s name is Katie and they have a little carrot family.
One quick one regarding Kevin being Elton John, and the packs of Rocket. Rocket is what you would know better as arugula. Just we call it Rocket instead. Hence carrot man instead of Rocket man.
I knew you ladies would love KEVIN!! (sorry can't help myself with the Home Alone reference 😅). He is something of a Christmas icon here now. The Aldi video gets the thumbs up 👍 from me. Thanks for putting me into the Christmas spirit! I also feel you would love our Pot Noodle adverts.
I’d love to know what kind of Christmas food Americans have if they don’t have much of what’s in the Kevin adverts. We really do have a good feast in the UK ☺️🎄
Loved this one. I love how you got so immersed in the ads your faces and the fact you totally got the adult humour is fantastic. Your going to need a bigger house once all the Kevin's turn up. Well done again ❤❤
Brilliant reaction ladies, whoever brought Kevin to your attention, great job, love Kevin's kids too Jasper, Baby and Chantenay 😂 feeling all extra festive now, Kevin definitely rocks 🥕🎄🥕
One little detail (Easter egg?) you may have missed in the last advert... the black and white striped sweets/candies who capture the Christmas Spirit are known as humbugs
The first year they brought out the Kevin the Carrot plushies they were so rare to find. Greedy people were snapping them all up and selling them for like £30 each , despite them only being £2.99 instore at the time.
Thank you ladies for sharing your laughter and comments on Kevin the Carrot! I've never seen this before! 🤣 Was so cute! From Oklahoma with love! Happy Thanksgiving!
There is a different take on the mince pie for Santa, in "The Hogfather" a two part 'series' based on the Terry Pratchett novel of the same name. In this, Death has taken over the gift run because The Hogfather, the Discworld equivalent of Santa, has gone missing, presumed...er..gone. it also features a cameo by the author as the toy-maker.
OMG..... I've not had any notification from your channel for months lovely ladies, so great to see you again. Our Kevin the carrot has been in England at Christmas for years, so funny 🤣🤭
Oh love Kevin the carrot ads don’t know why they are not universal unless you tend to make thanksgiving bigger than Christmas. Love your reactions xx❤😂
Kevin is awesome. I am based in Ireland and as soon as the advert is out it is all over the TV right up until Christmas and you never get bored with them, and the best part each time you watch you see something new that you missed on the previous watch. Thanks for re showing them all will be back to this video a few times this Christmas. Hope you both had a fantastic Thankgiving
This was AMAZING!! Hadn’t seen this years yet and it didn’t disappoint! I’d love to see a video of your Aldi if there’s one nearby, it’d be so interesting to see similarities and differences of the same supermarket in different countries! I’m also really curious as to what an American Christmas Dinner looks like as you mentioned you have none of the food that we do!
I do love the Kevin the carrot ads and they aren’t just Christmas now. They do a few throughout the year - there was one for the Olympics this year! I haven’t actually seen this years ad yet on TV though.
Hi you Beautiful Human, I was having a look through YT 2 weeks ago, and came across you to beautiful Ladies. I have done nothing but binge watch you when I come home from work, you are both up my street to watch. Thank you for creating the content you put out for us to watch.... Oh and you are both hilarious. Jo.. from the UK ❤🧡💛💚💙💜
What a funny little guy Kevin is. The Elton John one really got me 😂. I'm starting to feel a bit more in the Christmas spirit now. I've been told that the Sainsbury Christmas adverts in the UK are very good also.
Hi ladies , we have some really good Christmas ads some are very moving a well as the funny ones . Love Christmas food you should see the supermarkets nearer to Christmas queues are insane 😊
You were only meant to blow the bloody doors off! 😂 It wasnt in here but the iconic film referenced was that you missed, the truck one. You've already been told below so i shant mansplain further.
I see someone has already referenced The Italian job. I remember putting out the whisky and mince pie for Santa and the carrot for the reindeer with our children before they went to bed. In the morning when we came downstairs asking "has he been?" We found an empty glass and just a few crumbs on the plate. And where the carrot had been, there was a reindeer foot print made out of flour to look like a snowy print.
Now you have to watch a compilation of John Lewis Christmas adverts, they are the best. People wait for them every year. They’re a major department store, their Christmas ads are fantastic.
I'm sixty and still remember a John Lewis ad from the 1980s (I think). In it, a team put together a pile of random items available from the store - a chair, a throw, a lamp, etc. Once complete, the assortment was thrown into shadow by backlighting, to reveal the silouette of a slim, 1930s-style tall, slim woman with her Afghan hound. I think it remains the most imaginative and stylish ad I've ever seen!
Hi Natasha & Debbie, the Aldi adverts get better and better each year and you picked up the little bits of Adult Humour they sneak in. Your reaction to the videos was priceless and has made my Christmas. 👌👍.
If you love this you will also like the John Lewis Christmas Ads. Especially Edgar The Exitable (2019). He is adorable. I would love to watch it with you both. Love Kevin the Carrot! Never seen the early ones. So Thank You. As always great reaction!

Like you I rarely watch TV so even though I knew about Aldi’s ad and Kevin the carrot I had not seen most of those adds. So I have cheered up now. By the way what do you eat for Thanksgiving?
I am in the UK, but don't watch TV, haven't for years . .but . . these Kevin The Carrot ads are so good they both make me MISS TV (!!) AND put me in the Christmas Spirit too. PROOF that humour works wonderfully in adverts! Great show guys!!
Although we are able to purchase a wide variety of food a lot of the main Christmas meal consists of seasonal veg and fresh turkeys or other meats. Some people still serve the traditional goose. We are fortunate in UK to be able to purchase from local farm shops . Many supermarkets also stock locally grown food. Christmas pudding and mince pies are a tradition from many years ago. If you think Christmas Day looks good you should see what is often served on Boxing Day. I always enjoy the cold spread.
I look forward to the Christmas adverts including Kevin of course., it’s a thing over here to do special (usually funny and/or cute) adverts for Christmas. I was intrigued that our type of foods were different for you. What do folk in the US eat at Christmas?
My wife brought a load of Kevin The Carrot plush hanging decorations from Aldi a number of years ago. We have them up every Christmas. I really hate them! When my children were younger we always left a glass of milk and a mince pie for Santa (or, as I prefer, Father Christmas!😊) and a carrot for the reindeer. When they went to bed I’d eat the mince pie, deliberately leaving some crumbs as ‘evidence’ and would eat the carrot, leaving the top end behind with reindeer teeth marks carved in it.

15:57 That's an ABSOLUTE rip off of the Coca Cola Xmas ad! 💯🫣
My Mum absolutely adores Kevin the Carrot, I remember when they first brought out the toys, I bought Kevin, Katie & the kids for her one Xmas! I might see if there's any new ones for her? 🤔🙂

the truck overhanging the cliff- same ending as the classic italian job with michael caine.
I was going to mention that lol
We always know Christmas is here when Kevin and his family appears 🎄😊
When Kevin appears we know it's that time of year again
You missed the "right in the nuts" joke. That's my favourite one and you bloody missed it... Glad you enjoyed the video though....

The truck was the ending of the film "The Italian Job", we never found out what happened there either.
I'd forgotten how good some of the earlier Kevin ads were!

So funny!!
Now you know why we love Kevin the carrot ads, cute and funny and are the best. 🤣
Typical English humour, with a bit of cheeky mixed in, all the film references are just brilliant. 😂
The fruit cake covered in marzipan and icing is known as Christmas Cake, very rich
In case you were wondering: the narrator of the ads is Jim Broadbent. He played Bridget's father in Bridget Jones's Diary, and one of the teachers in Harry Potter, amongst many other film roles.
The irony of "Easter Eggs" in a Christmas Ad. 😂😂😂
Yes, my mum used to say " you can tell it's Christmas, Woolworths are now stocking easter eggs "
@russcattell955i very funny but sadly not far from the truth.
Aldi even made soft Kevin the Carrot toys for children to hug. They proved very popular!
Kevin the Carrot is part of the UK Christmas tradition and has been for a number of years. He’s a married carrot. His wife’s name is Katie and they have a little carrot family.
And other vegetable friends!
His children are called Baby, Chantenay, and Jasper
@ I wonder if Debbie and Natasha know who Jasper Carrot is 😁
I thought Stacey was or is the daughter ?
In your little world perhaps 🙄
I'm from the UK and I haven't seen a lot of these myself! They are brilliant! Thank you for sharing xx
I haven't seen most of these either as I don't watch much TV with adverts. If all ads were like these, I'd happily watch more commercial TV!
One quick one regarding Kevin being Elton John, and the packs of Rocket. Rocket is what you would know better as arugula. Just we call it Rocket instead. Hence carrot man instead of Rocket man.
