- In Halo Reach, there are several weapons hidden in the game files that are used for multiple purposes but usually you can't use in game. Let's take a look at what those weapons are and what it's like to use them!

I can't help shake the feeling that Jun's sniper was originally supposed to be a M99 Stanchion, Like the ones found in halo wars and other media, It would explain the strange laser and charge time
I feel like it was just a way for you tell in campaign which enemy jun was prioritizing or where he was aiming in general. But maybe they cut some scripted elements from nightfall or decided it was too linear/handholding for the final game?
Jorge's chaingun seems to make u walk faster than the normal one.
I think Jun’s sniper rifle was going to be used on the mission Nightfall.
Some of these weapons remind me of the legendary weapons from Fallout 3. A step up from the ordinary. Pretty cool

could the falcon sensor be what tracks the altitude of the aircraft, and just doesn't display without the rest of the vehicle's hud?
fun fact about Jorge's turret: you move at normal speed, not the restricted speed that normal turrets force you to.

The same way that the red laser in first person is the Spartan laser one the green laser in third person is the Target Locator laser.
It's been a long while, but I remember back on 360 some type of exploit being used that allowed players to start a match unarmed. It was really useful for a lot of custom games but I can't be 100% sure if I'm recalling it correctly.
That spartan using a Lazer sniper is like shaking like a crackhead.
Some elites dual wield in reach. Maybe u can use elites to try out the jackal shield.
Using Georges Machine gun was the best, when I used it, it felt unique!
The Spartan knife was probably used in the assassination animations.
I swear I remember shooting the Beam as the monitor in forge mode as a kid without glitching. I don't know if I'm misremembering or if it's a case of the Mandela effect, but I swear that I used it on forge back in the 360 days.
You could do it by holding down the trigger before you turned into the monitor. You would shoot a focus rifle beam for a second
@@anthonychase6906 I know about that glitch, but that's not what I remember. I remember being able to shoot it without needing to glitch it and it being fully controllable. When I tried forge years after I even got dissapointed that I couldn't shoot the beam out.

it's the default weapon for monitors, implemented by copying and pasting the focus rifle data, though it counts as a different weapon. forge removes the weapon automatically. however, modded gametypes can force you into a monitor body and if they do, you'll have the beam indefinitely unless you swap it out or the gametype script removes it from you
halo chess forces you into a monitor but i think it also removes the weapon

I think the just sniper is somewhat close to a Hunter Attack eventually it was “working” concept of a weapon or for a weapon idea that got scrapped or worked on in H4 or so.
i remember playing a custom game back in i think 2013-2014 found mods & my friend showed me these & the little knife you can hold lol
Maybe the falcon sensor gives increased motion sensor range?
Falcons do have an increased motion sensor range, but the number by it still reads “25m” as in 25m range when active, so it could still require entering the falcon. I don’t think that weapon shows it on its own.
There's a modded gamemode that lets you spawn unarmed and works online.
also if you just use Reach Variant Tool to edit a gametype and remove both starting weapons, you just start unarmed.
you should make a video of how many uncharged energy sword melees it takes to kill enemies
june uses it in the night vision mission where you have to sneak and hes the air support
As someone who mods Halo 3, I can confirm that the Jackals Shields are not weapons in that game.
Pleease, make a comparison between the Blue Prometheans from Halo 4's Forerunner mission to the Orange Prometheans from the rest of the game and see if they are any different. They're probably the same, but it would make a nice video.

I wonder if the firsr sniper was some kind of placeholder for another gun. The charge up cpuld suggest maybe Jun was originally intended to use the M99 Stanchion? I remember reading a long, long tine ago how it was intended to he Jun's weapon.
Jun does....in the sniping mission before Tip of the Spear. You usually are in night vision...I think he does there

wait skirmishers have 2 shields and 1 gun... but when you spawn it as a weapon you can only hold 1 shield... are skirmishers holding 3 "weapons"?

Maybe Jorge's turret was only different to not clip or interfere with his model and animations. Since his model is larger and stuff.
The regular spartan seems to hold it off of his chest a but more.
Think you could mod in Jorge using normal guns?

You sure the falcon sensor doesn't give increased radar range like on New Alexandria? You haven't spawned any enemies to test it.

Just because you can use these weapons with mods doesn't mean they were ever planned to be usable. It's just easier to program these AI weapons the same way as player ones so the same code can be used to define actions like firing and reloading to work the same between the player and NPCs, then just set a flag to define if the player can pick up that weapon or take it from an ally.
Looks exactly like the laser sniper thing the jackels use.
It would have been so cool to be able to pick up a Jackal shield and use it.
Please make an ultra white tutorial for halo 3 and halo reach and showcase what it changes.

so you said you can't get Jorges gun in game without cheats I call bull, because when I first got halo reach on the 360 my game was wierd to put it I've had a few odd occasions on that game one of which on the first mission where your waiting for Kat to close the door i went up on the railing and low and behold Jorges gun was there I didn't get to use it because i immediately died but I had it and haven't been able to replicate it since but it doesn't matter because that copy of reach was just odd I guess
