That is the coolest scrap quilt I've ever seen
Love your scripture at the end.❤️
I love that you don’t have to have a fancy dancy computerized sewing machine to make a beautiful quilt.❤
I do have one of those fancy machines but much prefer one of my vintage sewing machines for simple piecing. I reserve the fancy machine for free motion embroidery, decorative stitching and quilting. Thanks for watching, Rhubarb!🥰
very cute
Thanks for watching, Pat!
found it. but... I LOVE having one little point of interest in the structure of a quilt.. it is my reminder in a quilt that 'to err is human' that is how we learn, evolve and grow! I will always have one little thing .. sometimes an error, sometimes a little mini item of interest that doesn't belong: a ladybug, a mouse.. a wee bird... a piece out of place.. .. for the inquisitive eye to find, either unintentional or deliberate..
I like to add little zingers too, Cathy. I think its like an extra surprise! Thanks for watching!
I love it! Unfortunately, my eye always finds the mistake, but yours doesn’t bother me. Very cute.
👋😃🇦🇺❤️Thank you for sharing with us ❤❤❤
thank you.
Thanks for watching, Dyana!
Loved this video. The colors are fantastic. Your nails look great. And yes, it's wonderful to know that there are creative people working at all hours of the night. ☺
Thanks for watching, Beadpup! 🛌
Love this quilt. I think it’d be easier and time-saving to make column stacks instead of row stacks than having to remove one from each row pile and repin every time.
That is another way to do it! I'm glad we can all share on here and learn from each other. Thanks for watching, Diane!
Awesome
Thanks for watching, Christian!
My sister requested something simple with lots of colors but not too much color. Have not been able to figure out those two ideas together. But THIS! This is the solution to my problem! She is going to LOVE it!! Thanks for the tutorial.
You are most welcome, Ms. M. I have a followup video on the border I made for this also. Thanks for watching!
Hello neighbor. (I’m in New Hampshire just up the mountain range.) I enjoyed your video. ❤ Have a great day.
Greetings from the other end of the Appalachias! Thanks for watching, Patty!
I haven't heard the term "webbing" before. What is that?
OH! I see! This keeps your blocks in order. How clever!!!
Hi there, new to ur show, but I'm a seasoned quilter. I put together a 100 piece quilt top (charm sq) last week. & this video would of helped alot !! But now I'm armed & ready ! Thanks sew much ! Loved your Oopsie 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Welcome, Melanie! Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
Love this! Love your using a vintage machine. ♥️
Thanks for watching, Three Rivers! I love my vintage machines!
At the same time too!
LOL! 🥰😍
Absolutely wonderful!!!!
Thanks for watching, Brenda!
Love this idea and particularly that little ref triangle going thr rong way, there's always one who is individual.❤ Bless you all. My next project is a large chip potato block around a panel that says " THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD" and a beautiful picture of a lamb for a member of our church. We had a member who gave everyone a quilt and yesterday I gave a new member a quilt and afterwards a very dear lady came up to me and said she hadn't received one so when I got home from church into my stash I went.
Bless you, Helen, for making quilts for your church members. What a true gift of love in the spirit of Him. Thanks for watching! 🥰✝️
This was a great video, really enjoyed it! This “pattern” is pleasing to the eye. The crazy chicken block just adds the perfect pizazz to the quilt. 🙋♀️🇨🇦
Thanks for watching, Full Disclosure! I came up with that idea after chasing one chicken around the house the other day!
Thank you so much loved the chicken baby quilt I appreciate your creativity, you also have a Blessed Day.
Thanks for watching, Vicki! God bless. 🥰💕✝️
Yup!!id have done the same boo-boo!
Those sassy chickens! Thanks for watching, Jane!
Sew happy I found your channel….l love it!
I'm glad you are here, Lora! Thanks for watching!
I'm going to try this. I've never done webbing. It turned out very sweet. I see the kissing chicks in the near center. Cute. You demonstrate and explain very well. You are an excellent teacher. Thank you for sharing this with us. Get some rest. Have a blessed day, Thanksgiving, this week. 😊🙏💖🍀
Thanks so much, Liz, for watching and for your sweet comment! I'm glad you like my videos. God bless! 🥰✝️
I have 3 baby quilts to make for new family members. This is definitely in the running..
Thanks for watching, Rhonda. I hope you have fun making this. I have a follow up video on this where I make a wonky diamond border for it.
❤ too cute for words. Thanks for showing to cut scraps and organize them.
Thanks for watching and commenting, Anna!
This is so cute and yes I did see your little "something-something" but it looks great.
Thanks for watching, Linda!
Enjoyed watching this video. I have made something similar however the corners were all identical size. Love this idea of a variation.
Thanks for watching, Janey. This was a fun one! I'll have an upcoming video on doing a border for this quilt top.
Really cute quilt---need to buy Hush Hush--so clever. Please leave your sassy chicken where she is. Not sure I can make the change up to webbing sewing, but I make a ton of baby quilts so this is going on my to do list.
Thanks for watching, Adrien! I hope you have fun with this. I’m filming the border on this quilt right now. Video coming this Friday.
Olympia National Forest in Washington gets over 100” of rain yearly. It’s a rainforest.
Thanks for watching, Leah. We get close to that here on a good year.
You are very creative early in the morning. It turned out beautifully. Love the fabrics ❤😊 You are definitely a great teacher 😊❤

You are most welcome, Hadley! I hope you have fun with this project! Thank you for watching and leaving a comment.
This is way too cute! I think I just may try it in 10” squares to make a twin for the spare bedroom!
Thanks for watching, Patricia! Have fun with this one!
6 rows down, 5th block in. Love it!
You found her! Thanks for watching, Deborah!
Always wanted to know how to do this. I get it now. A lady in our sewing group always does this. Now I have the big picture. Thank you
You are most welcome, Carolyn! Thanks for watching.
This is so cute! Yep, I saw the sassy chicken. It makes it more unique! Great way to use some scraps only I like your white background fabric. It’s not just a solid white but, looks like it might have some other colors in it, too.
Hi Linda, yes there is a bit of soft color in the background fabric. I'd love to have a whole bolt of it. Thanks for watching! 😘🥰✝️
This would be good to use triangle scaps from other blocks. .. Cur offs from snowballing stuff.
Exactly, Linda! I had fun picking through them all for this one. Thanks for watching.
Love the efficiency! Pretty quilt!
Thanks for watching, Charlotte!
Wow Excellent! this tutorial is excellent instructions. Perfect use of scraps.
Thanks for watching, Charlotte!

Thanks for watching, Brenda!
I can't pull those all nighters anymore but I love this quilt pattern! Those chickens are having a hen party girlfriend. Would love to have one with you...See you soon and I sure enjoyed watching.
Oh wouldn't that be fun, Mary! Thanks for watching. Love ya! 🥰😘
Presented well, as usual, and it's such a great idea. Love your execution. looking forward to making my own very soon.
Thanks for watching, CAW. I hope you enjoy this one. I like it so much that I'm working on a new pattern that will have a very similar block as the feature.
Hi Just came across your channel. Love your video and quilt. Another great tip that works especially well when you are webbing your quilts which I do is the traffic light method. I saw it online years ago. If you lay all your blocks out on the floor or design wall as you want them then you put a green go pin on the left hand side of the very first block (top left corner). Then you put an orange pin on the bottom of the second block in your last row. Then you take all your blocks off the wall in vertical rows (not horizontal) starting with block 1 & 2 first row, then block 1&2 second row, block 1&2 third row etc until you get down to the bottom where your orange pin is. Then you go back to block 3 at the top andpick all those up from top to bottom all the while adding them to the bottom of the pile. Keep doing this until you have stacked all your blocks on top of each other into one big stack. Then all you have to do is chain piece by taking the first two blocks from the top then the next two and sewing them together until you come to your orange pin. After that you go back to the top of your two sewn web and the rest of your stack is in order so you just add nethe next block on top. This is great for baby quilts like yours. If I am making a full size quilt with small blocks I pick up and stack a quarter of the quilt at a time. Then sew the four quarter pieced sections together. I hope this makes sense and you might like to try it. I used to keep mine in rows but this works well and I find it a bit easier and takes up less space having all your blocks in one stack. 😀 Actually I found the Doug Leko on youtube demonstrate the method on a fat quarter shop video ua-cam.com/video/vFNc37E1FzQ/v-deo.html
Hi Laurelle! Welcome to my channel. That sounds like an interesting method, I'll give it a look. Thanks for watching and for your lovely comment! 🥰
Love your chit chat as you go. I have a 1923 Singer Sewing machine and would love to know how to shorten the stitch length. I am 77 years old and have stiched for many years. No problems. But some quilting needs a shorter stitch length. Love your quilt by the way . i live in South Africa on a farm. Inthe Gauteng area.
Hello South Africa! Thanks for watching, Suzan. If you join my Discord server discord.gg/6dDkZKesrj You will be able to post a photo of your machine. Once I see the machine I can most probably get you the manual and/or tell you how to change the stitch length. I probably have 20 sewing machines within a rooms length from my Singer 301. I have many more scattered around the house. I just love them all! I'd love to see your farm too. I worked at a major university doing websites, ecommerce, etc.... for over 25 years. I was helping a faculty member who had a school in South Africa. He brought me a glass container filled with sand from the Southern most beach from there. I still have it.
Going to have to make!
I is lightning fast, Susan. Thanks for watching.
Row 6 block 5 is a contrary chicken 😂😂😂 but this is a fabulous idea thank you so so much xxx
Yep, you found her! Thanks for watching, Lisegill!
👍
Thanks for watching, Nilda! 🥰
I subscribed!
@@nildavalencia5524 Thank you so much, Nilda! I appreciate it!
This is great!! I was born/raised near the Smokies, and my kids grew up in the PNW, so I hear ya about the rain! LOL I found your "something-something" but it looked to me like you did it on purpose, kinda like an "I Spy" thing.
Thanks for watching, Lubbygirl! I did do it on purpose.
Fun video! Thank you! (Just started watching your videos.)
Welcome, Cheryl! I'm actually just recording the border video for this quit top. It will be out on Friday at 6PM. Thanks for watching!
SueAnn from Idaho.....so cute......just darling
Thanks, SueAnn! 🥰
YES I See Your Crazy Chicken.
My unfortunate experience using embrodery floss in quilting...the red floss bled badly when washed.. Do you intend to never wash your quilts?
Thanks for mentioning thrift stores.. All my quilting supplies came from Goodwill and some from Salvation Army. The Goodwills where I often shop have a $1.00 day on Monday. I have very easily found mostly brand new mens all cotton shirts. I try to get many colors and shades. It is a different group of items every week Determined by tag color. Some stores have senior days where seniors get best deals. I got my backing fabrics at another Goodwill. Duvet covers, sheets with various designs and colors, pillow cases and shams, curtains and drapes, etc. Also, some very nice dress making fabric. I wash them and cut them apart and iron each piece as I go. Then they are folded and stored in huge suitcases,,,also from Goodwill.
Thanks for watching, Avotts! I haven't had any issues with embroidery floss, yet. Sounds like you have thrifting down to a science! Great job! I love the suitcase idea!
Greetings from Arkansas! Love the video! I'm curious, the quilt in the background with a bird, I think, do you have a pattern or video!
Thanks for watching, Kitty! Are you talking about the bird blocks behind my head? Those are exclusive patterns for my Ko-Fi membership crew.
SueAnn from Idaho......what size are the triangles or little squares..
Hi SueAnn, thanks for watching. I'm using 5" squares.
I very well missed it, but what was the size of the starting background fabric?
Hi Fran, thanks for watching! I started with 5" squares.
What is the model of your machine? I love the old Singers! 💖
Thanks for watching! It is a Singer 301. She is a real gem!
It looks like you meant to make it special in that one spot!
I did indeed, Karen! Thanks for watching!
