  • How to make a simple motor. Materials:
    The coils have 100 turns of 0.5 mm wire.
    Hall Sensor A3144 - ali.ski/4LwL5
    Transistor IRFZ44N - ali.ski/JtE-hs
    Neodymium Magnets 20 x 3 mm - ali.ski/GgUm2
    Important note: make the inside diameter of the coil larger, about the diameter of the magnet. I had no time to make new coils, I took the finished ones from another project.
    A transistor can be used by anyone for a suitable voltage and current. This is not necessarily the MOSFET.

    How many turns are these coils? What wires are used?

    • @grain8314
      @grain8314  6 років тому +1

      Wire 0.5 mm, 100 turns each coil. But you can make 10 turns, you can make 1000 turns and this will work. :) Just the efficiency of the motor will be at different voltages and currents. Important note: make the inside diameter of the coil larger, about the diameter of the magnet. I had no time to make new coils, I took the finished ones from another project.

    • @grain8314
      @grain8314  4 роки тому

      On the diagram, a resistor of 240 Ohms and an LED for indication. The resistor is needed so that the LED does not break. Instead of a resistor and an LED, you can place just any diode, this is necessary to protect the transistor from breaking, because the coil gives reverse pulses of a higher voltage.

    I made one of this, with a vcr motor, and a D2624 transistor. This little thing is flying, It must be going at 10.000 rpm.

    • @grain8314
      @grain8314  5 років тому

      Fine! Here the essence is not in the transistor, here the essence is that 3 coils simultaneously push 3 magnets. Of course you need a good battery for current strength. I did not get a good RPM because I casually made the mounting of the coils. I already realized this: for a large RPM, it is necessary to position the coils very precisely at 120 degrees (if there are 3 magnets). In other words, you need accurate synchronization of all magnets with coils.
      And you can use 5-6 magnets and as many coils, but then the requirements for accuracy are even greater. Perhaps I will later make a more accurate engine to demonstrate a high RPM. But I need to buy an RPM meter for demonstration.

    • @grain8314

    How much RPM spin this think?

    • @grain8314
      @grain8314  6 років тому +1

      I was hoping to make a higher RPM, but it turned out a bit. I did not measure, but I understand by sound that it is not much. For higher RPM, very thorough execution of all nodes is required, but I do not have time for this.

      The frequency of the camera 50 FPS, I did not measure the rotation of the motor.

    Interesting video but those of us with no electronics experience will never procure the correct items on that schematic.

    • @grain8314
      @grain8314  6 років тому

      The schematic is not so difficult, a person needs only to want to understand.

    • @allenhanford
      @allenhanford 6 років тому

      grain thank you for your condescension. I know how to read a schematic but as I said previously the place where I run into trouble is finding the correct components.

      The project is not useless, the need to build seems nullified. One is hooking up the circuit incorrectly. And already fried one mofset 😒 the circuit is straight forward enough, construction seems to elude me, it is very disappointing.
