@@BECLEARwithBronchiectasis Thank you. So when using baby bottle steam sterilizer, boiling is NOT needed, correct? We do away with boiling because the sterilizer does the job safely and sufficiently, correct? (Sorry, I just want to make sure and double sure that I do things correctly.) Thank you!
I think you just answered your question! If something makes you feel fearful, then I always suggest taking that extra step. I leave my steripen in the bathroom so it’s easy enough to make sterile water. I also leave my LARQ UV water bottle in there. But sometimes I use tapwater out of laziness. Because I have multiple sets I usually just throw everything in my dirty bin and then pull out my baby bottle steam sterilizer to sterilize everything together.
Strange...I thought I had replied to this. It depends on the pot. I put mine in hot water that was no longer boiling. But now I use a Squeezie and put it in my baby bottle sterilizer and dryer. Linda
The manufacturer of the Aerobika and Aeroeclipse recommends soap and warm water daily and sterilizing once a week. If you have a baby bottle sterilizer and your devices can withstand high heat, you can pop your equipment into it daily. I would ask your medical team for their input.
A respiratory therapist told me that i should only blow out with aerobika. So take a deep breath, hold put mouth on aerobika and blow out. Have you heard this?
I’ve heard of it. And it’s not a problem if you want to do it that way. But it’s not what the company recommends. They also offer the option of attaching a nebulizer so in that situation, you’re always inhaling while you were exhaling. Again, it really depends on what you prefer. 💕Linda
@@BECLEARwithBronchiectasis I was following directions in booklet. Then he tells me this. He also said to just rinse mouthpiece daily and rest of aerobika once a week. It's so confusing.
I use a Squeezie now and also have a medical grade porcelain neti pot. I would soap it up, rinse it, and then put it in a pot of boiled hot water for 5 minutes. I never tried to boil it but maybe I will!
Thanks for the information. Do you use the baby bottle steriliser instead of boiling or do you just use that for drying?
I often do!
@@BECLEARwithBronchiectasis Often do which?
@@802dsoloUse the baby bottle steam sterilizer at home. Use other methods while traveling.

@@802dsolo Yes, we do not need to boil. The water you pour onto the sterilizer plate will boil within a minute and create steam.💜
Should the Rinsing should be done with sterilized water Linda? I’m so afraid of my tap water! 😮

Linda, how do you sterilize a porcelain Neti pot? Can it be boiled for 10 minutes? Thanks

Is it necessary to boil neb parts for 10 minutes everyday? I am following another forum who really believe this is necessary.

I heard a respiratory therapist at NYU say exactly that. That is not what the company recommends.
Linda, how do you sterilize your reusable water bottles especially the insulated ones. Thanks
I buy small water bottles that fit into my UV sterilizer and dryer
