I know I thought life sucked as a teen and those moments of staying out late roaming the traintracks or taking long drives down a dark highway were my escape from reality but also my issues were simply social issue and not a global pandemic and mass delusions that hold much deeper consequences. A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night brought me here. I laughed during the Q&A on the DVD, the Director said she loves seeing people Shazaming during the disco ball scene, which of course is exactly what I did when that scene came on.
Strange how White Lies songs are all depressing when you read the lyrics however their gigs rock the f!cking place down! 14 times I have seen them and everyone has been epic!
Impossible not to put this track up to full volume. Screw the neighbours, screw the fact you can't sing, simply an immense song!
I really like this band, from the first song I've heard (and it was a couple of days ago...) The more I listen to them, the more I like them... On some parts they remind me on The National, Joy Division, Depeche Mode... But yet, they are so unique... They aren't too melancholic, that's what I like...

Top 5 fav bands of all time- there’s a soaring quality to the sound, beautiful haunting lyrics, and a guitar tone that’s both delicate and harsh, dancing drums just finish the whole thing off for me👌👌👌
