    Just started watching you. I have 2 desert roses but I’ve been doing everything wrong! I’ve learned a lot from your videos. I think these will be my new favorite plants.

      If they’re alive still then you’re not doing anything wrong. 😆 thank you!

    i personally would have kept some of the small roots that was cut to spread and to act like an extra leg/tripod to balance it better in the future.... jealous with the shepherd. Mine would probably tear everything up if i give it a chance to do so.

      Yes. I definitely wanted to keep more roots on it. If I had a bigger pot for it, I probably would have. But I really wanted to get it repotted in some good soil before winter. It should be fine though.

    Look at the size of that mammoth! I don't know if you name your plants but this one DEFINITELY deserves a name! (Big Tex? Woody? Twister?)
    41:03 for the cuttings, would you make a pot for each one? Do desert roses co-habitat and play well with other plants?

      😆 I like those names. I usually make sure they survive before I name them. 😆

      I will usually throw a bunch of them in one pot with some soil and weed out the ones that don’t make it

    I never even heard of Desert roses when I saw one in Curacao on my cruise and after I started following you! They are so beautiful! Do you think I could grow them in Montgomery Alabama?

      On yes. Just protect them indoors when it drops below 50

    Can I grow one in Paris Tennessee?

    • @texasgardenguy
      @texasgardenguy  28 днів тому +1

      Yes! You would just need to bring it in and protect it at or below 50 degrees.

    Hi bro ... If you have deep intimate knowledge you can arrange and manipulate root system with less cutting and less stress
