I saw Ichiro at bat, and then an Oriole running the bases. I was like, how the hell did I miss Ichiro the Oriole? Then I realized it was All Star game hehe
Hey BronxBomber42, this is coming from a life-long Blue Jays fan -- your videos are fantastic, incredibly concise and an absolute joy to watch for any MLB fan. This is some amazing work that must include so much knowledge and memory of the game as to be transcendent. Don't let the UA-cam comments ever get you down... you're doing a masterful job.
+BronxBomber42 I especially enjoy the fact that you don't put the acid rock or idiotic rap music on. I enjoy the plays but it's also the announcers that create the excitement. Keep up the great work.
Robert McDermott how was I supposed to know. You don't have to call me a jackass. Uncalled for. Not cool man. I don't follow the Twins. Sorry if my lack of knowledge about MLB stadiums angers you.
Robert McDermott and it was against the Twins. And how to you know if the dome was being used? So next you think about calling someone a jackass, think about your claims first.
This may be a bit shocking to you but the world doesn't actually revolve around you! Just because you don't like a particular song doesn't mean every other UA-camr is required to not use it in their videos. Douche.
+Mark G. I think he meant to thank the uploader for keeping the original commentary and not covering it up with some song, rather than berating a specific song.
***** The rule on things like this is that you never clean up your own mess, because you'll make things worse. The center fielder should have been there more quickly. On Bay's play...he got hurt...again!
Hamilton never hit an ITP homer with CIN. He got stopped rounding third at least twice with the game situation being ... why get thrown out at the plate with no outs?
To get an inside-the-park home run, you need one of or any combo of four things, maybe five if you count the third base coach. 1. A great pitch 2. A great swing 3. A terrible outfielder play 4. SPEEEEEED (depending on how horrible #3 is)
Quinn Clayton 1) No you don't - inside the park home runs are not necessarily well-hit balls; they are just well-placed. 2) No you don't - as with point number 1. A ball down the line that a player dives for is sometimes all you need 3) No you don't - they are categorically NOT bad plays by the defense; if they were, then these wouldn't be home runs - they would be errors. They are not errors. They are tough plays. 4) No you don't - Prince Fielder. Enough said.
Willoughby Krenzteinburg 1. I guess explain your definition between Well-hit and well-placed? From my point of view well hit just means you put the ball right where you wanted, not the power behind it. 2. ^^ 3. That's getting into the technicalities, but diving at a ball and missing it completely, or running into the outfield wall when the ball isn't even gonna land there qualify to myself, and quite a few others as bad defensive play. 4. Bad defensive play. In the future, for you, I'll say "You need one of" these things. Aside from that, if you still don't agree or at least see my point of view, that's fine with me. It's just my opinion. Have a good one.
Quinn Clayton I completely agree with your statement. Mostly the part about the defense, and anyone arguing against that can rewatch the video. The defense either misreads the ball or it should have been an error. and also to the guy arguing about prince fielder, yes he doesnt have much speed but if you read the comment correctly he states that you might not need as much speed depending on the defense's reaction to the play
TheMattharrington123 I can kinda understand why a dive isn't an error if they just miss it, because infielders sometimes dive for the ball too late and it goes directly under them, base hit. But if a ball bounces out of the glove, definitely should be an error with a run scored.
Quinn Clayton You cannot have an error on a play that is NOT routine. If the play is not made on a ball in which the successful play would require more than ordinary effort, it's not an error regardless of whether it hits the glove of the fielder attempting the play or not. This is the case. What you think it _should_ be is irrelevant. Batters cannot control _exactly_ where the ball goes. Some can intentionally put them in a _general_ area, but ITPHR are usually the result of players diving and the ball deflecting off the wall at odd angles.....things the batter had zero intention or control of. There is a lot of luck involved. Asserting that that's exactly what the batter was trying to do is nonsense. That's what I mean by "well-placed".
How many of you have been to a game where an inside the park home run was hit? I saw Tyler Naquin hit a walk off inside the park home run against Toronto. Seeing one live is one of the most exciting things I've ever seen in sports. It was especially awesome since the Indians hadn't had a walk off inside the park since 1916 before that, what a moment to witness!
I don't care if you don't like the team, but the Orioles announcer is a legend. Best reaction of any of these guys, and he was even just as excited for the Red Sox when he thought they caught the ball at first (Orioles inside the parker at 9:34).
How could you miss the one by Pagan in 2013 (which was a 9th inning walk off) or the one by Barnes in 2014 (which was a two run come from behind revenge)
from 1979 to 1984 willie wilson with the k.c. royals hit 13 inside the park home runs, in 1979 he hit 5. wilson hit multiple inside the park home runs in 4 different years. i was lucky enough to see a couple of them in person, one of the most exciting players i ever saw, if a ball bounced twice in the infield wilie more than likely would beat the throw.
The ones missing I'd like to see: 1-Dave Kingman's inside the park home run vs. St. Louis. Yes, Dave Kingman. Took a super high bounce on astroturf over the outfielder's head. 2-Texas Rangers vs. Yankees, Bump Wills & Toby Harrah hit back-to-back inside-the-park home runs. Actually was watching that game. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. These were a long, long time ago and who knows if the video tape still exists.
RRaquello I was AT that game with the Texas Rangers at Yankee Stadium, where the Rangers hit back-to-back inside the park home runs... supposedly only the 2nd time in the modern era of MLB that it's happened. You could have heard a pin drop in Yankee Stadium after the 2nd one.
Rudy Winston As I remember it, it was a late Saturday afternoon. I was maybe 15 years old at the time and went somewhere with my father and we had just returned home, so I switched on the TV maybe two minutes before it happened. It's amazing to think something has happened o0nce or twice in the entire history of major league baseball and you happened to see it just by accident.
Jim Edmonds looked downright silly in Junior's. Like he didn't even misplay it he just jumped and didn't attempt to catch it, weird play for such a good fielder.
About 1988 I was at a Columbus Clippers/Buffalo Bison AAA game . Orestes Destrade led of for Buffalo and hit an inside the park home run on the first pitch. It was the only run of the game.
You mean pagan hits it high and deep to center it is off the bottom of the wall and it kicks away from everybody pagan is being waved in here's the throw to the plate it is not in time and that is the ball game!
but it actually is "Pagan hits it high and deep to right, Cudyer back, IT IS offthebottomofthewallandit kicks away from everybody! Pagan is being waved in, here's the throw to the plate, it is NOT IN TIME and THAT! IS! THE! BALLGAME!
If you look at the play that guy was off balance and trying to throw it as quick as possible. No way that's as hard as he can throw. and yeah 75 isn't too hard to throw. Many HS pitchers can throw that hard.
The LAST video was a WRONG call He WAS OUT... (I guess that was BEFORE the Umpire call, the way they have it NOW) cause that umpire would have called him OUT
The one at 6:40 was pretty funny because the announcer said that it was an inside the park HR after Marte (the left fielder) missed it. The play was actually pretty close at the plate.
OMG. Prince Fielder has an inside the parker. That is just embarrassing lol. I get it when speedsters do it but omg. He got to be one of the slowest players in the game lol.
inspirational videos you make and amazing quality and I love your channel! I'm a life-long Yankees fan(i used to play baseball but now I'm an amateur skateboarder) and I love it! big ups!
Good job. I thought the most exciting one, and the one that was the closest to being thrown out, was the last one with Utley. Great inside, head-first slide.
An inside-the-park homerun, while obviously impressive, is nothing compared to a triple play. To an infielder, that's as perfect as a play can get. An unassisted triple play is where legends live.
10:00 isn't it perfect that elsbury gives up an in the park dinger, then hits one. I'm more happy about the latter, as I'm a sox fan. And elsbury was cool (until he was a Yankee)
For a guy that tips the scales around 270 lbs (give or take), Prince Fielder moves pretty well for a big man. Give the dude some credit, he crossed home plate standing up, too.
Exciting plays, great vid :). Can't believe they called the Andino one a home run, that had to be a triple and an error, he should have been out at the plate by ten feet
I'm loocking foward to see the video of what I think it was the greatest of all times. It took place on 25 july 1956. Pirates were trailing by 3 runs and with the bases loaded Roberto Clemente hit an inside the park walk off home ron
Nice video! I laughed at the part where you included Andino's homer in Camden against Ellsbury, then put Ellsbury's homer in Fenway against the O's immediately after.
Good stuff. Too bad it didn't show Marlon Anderson's HR for the Mets vs the Angels in 2005 when Marlon blew a bubble gum bubble as he rounded 2nd base. Still the coolest inside-the-park HR ever.
It could be argued that a few of these are multiple base errors and should have been scored as such. Some of them are clearly legit, mainly the ones that hit the wall and take a weird bounce that a fielder couldn't possibly anticipate. Some of the guys diving clearly weren't gonna get the catch but tried anyways when the smarter move would have been to concede the single and keep the ball in front of you. Prince Fielder was a beneficiary of the Metrodome lighting, not really an error, per se, but kinda. I still would have scored his a HR because it's not really fair to say someone misplayed a ball they couldn't see.
I like how you include only "inside the park home runs" and not errors by an outfielder that allows someone to round the bases. I've seen that with other videos of "inside the park home runs."
Seriously though, Shane Victorino the Phlyin' Hawaiian 😍 This is like my 9th comment on these videos and now I'm in super nostalgic mode for my old Philles 🙌🏻 It's all gone down hill over the past few years 😒
Despite not being an out, the cutoff throw on ken griff's HR was pretty good lol! Super off balance/on the move and the LF still managed to set up a play at home.
Very clever how you show Jacoby Ellsbury misplay a ball and give up a home run to the Orioles (9:32), and then you show Ellsbury hit an I-T-P homer against the same team (10:08). Well done!
ITP homers were about the only way to hit one in the early 1900s. Relating to bad field conditions and poor fielder's gloves. The parks were also peculiar in shape.
This is how sport compilation videos should be. No music, no bullshit. Just the original audio and video. Good job.
PabloCruise91 For real....
PabloCruise91 agreed.
PabloCruise91 I agree, down with music in baseball compilation videos!!
PabloCruise91 I agree it's much better without music, but it doesn't always work out, because youtube often shut those videos down. Some people put music only to avoid copyright issues.
PabloCruise91 I agree. Plus, no 3 minute long intros
It would be really cool to see an inside the park grand slam!
According to wiki sources. There have been 224 Inside the park grand slams. (Most happened in the past when many fields were bigger.)
Only 26 in the past 50 years.
Only 8 since 1990. (as of August 2014) Honus Wagner has the most in MLB with 5.
WOW! That is some awesome information! I never knew that about Honus Wagner had 5 inside the park grand slam.
It could happen in Kauffum stadium, big ass field.
It also could happen at AT&T Park that is also a huge field.
sportsygirl8
Ya, I'm sure it could.
if you give up an inside the park home run to Prince mothafuckin Fielder, you need to quit baseball immediately.
***** that's what i was referring to.
Hes not that slow. The man can sprint
I cannot believe that fatass actually got that.
Teddy Catnip It's cause the other team fucked up really, really bad. As with every other one lul
Alvin Shen yeah, but most of the other people who got them had the potential. They REALLY fucked up if Fielder got it.
I saw Ichiro at bat, and then an Oriole running the bases. I was like, how the hell did I miss Ichiro the Oriole? Then I realized it was All Star game hehe
Same here. I was like, "What the fuck? Ichiro? An Oriole? No way."
Aidan Gertson I wish my Orioles got Irichiro but no cigar.
If Prince Fielder can have an Inside the Park homerun. Anybody can
No Jeter meter needed
I could outrun fielder any day
He did it twice.
And score standing up too.
Watching this from Cincinnati, it's amazing how many of these involve the reds.
You know you messed up when you let Prince Fielder get an inside the park homer.

+Ray Panner Thanks Ray! That means a lot!
+BronxBomber42 Yeah man. Best baseball compilation videos on youtube by far. Thanks man.
+BronxBomber42 I agree, no one comes close to your videos. Absolutely amazing. I can't tell you how good they are. Amazing work!
+BronxBomber42 I especially enjoy the fact that you don't put the acid rock or idiotic rap music on. I enjoy the plays but it's also the announcers that create the excitement. Keep up the great work.
Mate same Jays for life
Prince Fielder scoring on an inside-the-parker. I've seen it all now...
Imagine David Ortiz stealing home 0_o
Imagine David Ortiz getting an inside the park home run.
Imagine David Ortiz getting a stand up double
That's happened before
***** Fielder can move pretty well. Now, if Yadier Molina (who gets timed with a calendar) hits one THEN you can truly say you've seen it all.
You know your team is trash when you allow Prince Fielder to get an inside the park homerun
I think that was against the twins. The clip was at night so he might not have been able to pick it up in the sky
they played indoors jackass
Robert McDermott how was I supposed to know. You don't have to call me a jackass. Uncalled for. Not cool man. I don't follow the Twins. Sorry if my lack of knowledge about MLB stadiums angers you.

I dont think anyone realises how much work this takes

You been drinking beer
+Mark G. Piss off
Half of these HR's are happening because the Center Fielder isn't backing up the play...
My little league coach would kill them...
Bad bounces, the Ichiro one especially. The outfield walls at AT&T Park are more crooked than a Japanese pron star's teeth.
Ichiros just pretty damn fast
Pretty sure that was one of Bay's concussions...
***** The rule on things like this is that you never clean up your own mess, because you'll make things worse. The center fielder should have been there more quickly. On Bay's play...he got hurt...again!
Ichiro's is my favorite. Inside the park HR in the all star game, classic
Nice picture \m/
Vippy Vips thanks yo
The fabled 120-yard dash... truly the most exciting play in all of baseball. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, it's always amazing.
Great job compiling them all. And thanks for not adding music. :)
This guy is the king of baseball videos
I feel a little bad for the ones where the outfielder got hurt. But still a great compilation.
L-1011 Widebody The Derek Jeter one put David DeJesus on the DL for awhile.
You are a sexy plane.
Hand down, best MLB channel on UA-cam. This guy puts time into making these videos.
Funny how Billy Hamilton is the thumbnail, and he isn't even in the video...
Literally why I clicked the video
I feel lied to.
Clickbait in a nutshell
Hamilton never hit an ITP homer with CIN. He got stopped rounding third at least twice with the game situation being ... why get thrown out at the plate with no outs?
One my favorite plays in baseball. Nice one at 0:36. Won them the game, crowd went wild. Also nice dive at 13:20!

I can not stop smiling after watching this video! Plays like these are why I love baseball!
Has anyone ever hit inside the park grand slam? That would probably be the most exciting play in baseball, I'd love to watch that.
I did In little league legit itp
Iennda Bob Brower did it for the Rangers in 1987. It gave them a 4-1 lead in the 2nd inning against Oakland. How exciting is that?
One just happened for the Phillies
I've hit one. I hit it in the very corner of right field. The right fielder was playing in the gap, because I was pulling everything before that.
me Lol at my tournament
How can anyone thumbs down this video? This video is giant slice of american pie. God bless the USA.
Ichiro's was the first ever at an All Star Game, I think.

i was thinking the same thing seriously Angel is the best
I was waiting for that one! Then the last two plays were against the Giants... Oh well World Series 14!
***** That was better than anyone. Angel is the best
RETRO99 - King of Creativity no they got a inside the parker dipshitb
what a great compilation. plays like this bring a smile to your face.
How could you miss the one by Pagan in 2013 (which was a 9th inning walk off) or the one by Barnes in 2014 (which was a two run come from behind revenge)
Drew Baker Barnes had 2 last year.
Drew Baker I remember that one from Pagan. This first one I thought of when clicking on this video thinking I'd see it here for sure.
I know!
from 1979 to 1984 willie wilson with the k.c. royals hit 13 inside the park home runs, in 1979 he hit 5. wilson hit multiple inside the park home runs in 4 different years. i was lucky enough to see a couple of them in person, one of the most exciting players i ever saw, if a ball bounced twice in the infield wilie more than likely would beat the throw.

If only I would witness an actual inside the park homer at a game.
Found you again
I did I hit one :3
I witnessed Allen Craig hit one for the Red Sox in spring training of 2015
Jim Edmonds looked downright silly in Junior's. Like he didn't even misplay it he just jumped and didn't attempt to catch it, weird play for such a good fielder.
@ 2:49 big boy can run

Jose Altuve is fast for a Mexican
Is venezuelan
He's Venezuelan
Even more impressive when you realize how short his legs are compared to most other people. Altuve is a towering 5'6
Ahhh back in the glory days of Philly baseball
Ichiro needs to come back to the mariners
Ikr but im sad he plays for the marlins now :(
Love this comp. it's got some of my favorite players growing up like Jr., Ichiro, Jeter, etc.
9:03
Did anyone else notice that at the second the announcer said time a hand with a watch comes up?
how did you notice that
Got to love those inside the park home-runs though!
Wheres Angel Pagans walk off???
You mean pagan hits it high and deep to center it is off the bottom of the wall and it kicks away from everybody pagan is being waved in here's the throw to the plate it is not in time and that is the ball game!
So I see that I am not the only one who has memorized that entire play commentary word for word
but it actually is "Pagan hits it high and deep to right, Cudyer back, IT IS offthebottomofthewallandit kicks away from everybody! Pagan is being waved in, here's the throw to the plate, it is NOT IN TIME and THAT! IS! THE! BALLGAME!
Luke Mitbo And Pagan was never the same again.
so sad...
A stand-up inside-the-park home run for Prince Fielder. That's the stuff of dreams right there
The throw from short to home at 11:00 was clocked at 71.
That's 60 mph harder than you can throw. Haha. Sorry, but you left yourself wide open for that joke....couldn't resist myself. : ) Peace dude.
TheJb2112 I throw 75 lol
***** it isnt that hard to throw 70.
If you look at the play that guy was off balance and trying to throw it as quick as possible. No way that's as hard as he can throw. and yeah 75 isn't too hard to throw. Many HS pitchers can throw that hard.
cbrow135
Yeah but most people aren;t these high school pitchers or pro ball players. it's pretty hard to throw that hard
On that first one, I really like how Victorino looked like he started running before he even finished his swing. It made the difference!
The LAST video was a WRONG call He WAS OUT... (I guess that was BEFORE the Umpire call, the way they have it NOW) cause that umpire would have called him OUT

I agree. When I pause it at 14:03. It's a close play. But his fingers are touching the plate as the tag is made.

lool yeah i was like omg i didnt just see that lol
+NOO NOPE Prince Fielder has above MLB average speed - or at the time he did. Probably not so much now.
+Willoughby Krenzteinburg he's not very quick but once he gets going, his momentum really carries him.
Imagine if David Ortiz gets an inside the park HR
Reds ❣🔴🔴
Of anyone to get a inside the Parker Prince fielder...
Of all people he has 2.
HaHa
I had an inside the park home run in slow pitch softball back in the 80's. I'm surprised it didn't make the highlight reel. ;-)
No Pagan's ItP?
IKR!!!! GO GIANTS!
That's the only reason I clicked on the video
TheBostonCeltic I clicked for both of Brandon Barnes's
inspirational videos you make and amazing quality and I love your channel! I'm a life-long Yankees fan(i used to play baseball but now I'm an amateur skateboarder) and I love it! big ups!

Good job. I thought the most exciting one, and the one that was the closest to being thrown out, was the last one with Utley. Great inside, head-first slide.
I was at that Phillies game at 13:07. What a great game. If i remember former pitcher Vance Worley had a complete game win.
Awsome video. One of the most entertaining plays in all of sports.
Gary Thorne at 9:50 when he said: "He scores!!!!", thats a TYPICAL Gary Thorne hockey call.
One of the best plays in baseball!
Truly the most exciting event in baseball.

Nice video, thank you for the upload and going through the trouble of finding all these videos
Yes..... this video is how it should be.....Thank you for the great upload!
I never in a million years would have thought I'd see Prince Fielder in this video.
Exciting plays, great vid :). Can't believe they called the Andino one a home run, that had to be a triple and an error, he should have been out at the plate by ten feet
if inside the park homeruns are the most exciting plays in baseball, i must have been an mvp
Cough cough grand slam cough
Was at a game once where there was an inside-the-parker. Wally Backman, for the Mets, maybe 1982 or 1983. Shea Stadium (the Mets' old home) ...
Brilliant collection
Run, run, run - very cool
I'm loocking foward to see the video of what I think it was the greatest of all times. It took place on 25 july 1956. Pirates were trailing by 3 runs and with the bases loaded Roberto Clemente hit an inside the park walk off home ron
I like how it was Red Sox vs Baltimore twice in a row each team having one, and elks burry was in both
Thank you for the original audio instead of some 80's country bullshit nobody has heard of
I never, ever, ever would have thought I'd see Prince Fielder in this video.
Jeter's a monster. One swing of the bat, RBI, run scored, and knock out the center fielder.
9:28 I remember watching that live, still one of my favorite baseball memories.
Nice video! I laughed at the part where you included Andino's homer in Camden against Ellsbury, then put Ellsbury's homer in Fenway against the O's immediately after.
I remember watching the ichiro homer live with my dad. Great memories.
It was cool that you out Ellsbury dropping the ball and him hitting an inside the park home run back to back
I love how Prince couldn't even slow down after crossing home. That forward momentum gets going and LOOK OUT.
Good stuff. Too bad it didn't show Marlon Anderson's HR for the Mets vs the Angels in 2005 when Marlon blew a bubble gum bubble as he rounded 2nd base. Still the coolest inside-the-park HR ever.
"Itchy row"
Damn it Joe Buck
Seriously though, Shane Victorino the Phlyin' Hawaiian 😍
This is like my 9th comment on these videos and now I'm in super nostalgic mode for my old Philles 🙌🏻 It's all gone down hill over the past few years 😒
I'm with you on that man.... I miss the old Phillies
+Nick Stevens I don't
I miss them cuz they were actually good
LOL Prince Fielder. The only time he'll ever have an inside the park HR. LMAO.
I remember seeing the Phillies homers. Wish they were still this good :/
Despite not being an out, the cutoff throw on ken griff's HR was pretty good lol! Super off balance/on the move and the LF still managed to set up a play at home.
The best kind of home run!
Very clever how you show Jacoby Ellsbury misplay a ball and give up a home run to the Orioles (9:32), and then you show Ellsbury hit an I-T-P homer against the same team (10:08). Well done!
The last one is incredible!
ITP homers were about the only way to hit one in the early 1900s. Relating to bad field conditions and poor fielder's gloves. The parks were also peculiar in shape.
Add Encarnacion’s inside the Parker. 😂 that was a fun one to watch.
Fielder getting an inside the park homer is hilarious.
