LGY is like Fang Bo. People underestimate him to much. Fang Bo made it to the finals of 2015 Wttc and still people don't know much about him. LGY deserves more respect than he does.

Well I would say, he definitely the potential but he has to built up strength, in the game he just isn’t be able to give the ball so much rip like fan Zhendong for example because of less strength. That’s why he has to stand near the table and countering every ball. This fits with the new ball but he has to build up strength if he wants to get good results

LGY's style mainly relies on continuity and blocking, and is not powerful and aggressive enough.
All these clips are with his teammates FZD XX LJK who are all physically stronger than him, only a few non-chinese players on the world tour is able to go toe to toe with LGY when he starts looping so I dont know what more you want from him haha. If you watch him play anyone that is rank 50-100 in the world you will see him win sets 11-5, 11-7, 11-3, 11-2 easily with just third ball so quit being so judgemental and just enjoy watching

I guess Lin is the most overrated player in CNT. I am convinced that his world ranking is too high considering his results.
His speed is very good, howevery, strength is not very good compared to other Chinese players.

He’s not as stable as Liang Jingkun. Wang Chuqin is much younger and Chinese team like him more. That’s why LGY was not selected as the team member for the coming world team championship. Unless LJK screw up big there is no position for LGY. He can of course wait for ML XX retirement

국거먹 I agree. But this is comparison between LGY and LJK. China is using ML, XX, FZD, LJK, and WCQ. LGY has to compete with LJK for his position. Right now Chinese coach apparently trust LJK more than LGY.
