I Have been using the 80d for a couple of years now and absolutely love it. I use it for everything, its great quality and works with L series lenses to. I use back button focus with single point and generally have no issues even with fast moving subjects. Shooting speed is good too but can buffer after about 10 continuous shots. I do agree the biggest issue at times in lower light especially if you need a higher shutter speed is the ISO noise, I dont like taking this camera above 800 and at a push 1600 but anything higher and its useless. The one thing i dont like is not having a joystick for moving my focus point, its ok but does take longer to get it where you want quick. Overal though i absolutely love this camera and would recomend it to anyone. Im even using it with a Sigma 150-600 for wild life photography and have no issues catching birds in flight at 1/2000th f6.5 with high ISO as long as there is plenty of daylight.
It’s a solid camera, especially for the price! And yeah, low light I’ll go to 1250 ISO if I must, maybe 1600, but beyond that and it’s not really worth taking the shot unfortunately. And yes I agree, buffer fills a little too quickly, but it’s not necessarily bad, just not as much buffer as one would like.

Hi, good video. Miss, I want you to help me with a problem, which I see appearing on screen , namely: at the bottom left you have the MP4off icon, and then that icon with 3 lines / microphone of! What does it mean? Each time I insert the microphone (Bya MM-MM1), IT APPEARS ON THE SCREEN! I also tried activating ATT and without ATT. He's still there when I turn on the microphone ... even though I have a sound ... but it's annoying. can you help me please? Thank you.
One gripe I do have is 7fps, it's not so much the lack of speed (mostly good enough for me), but ducks like mallards and shovelers flap their wings around the same speed, so I end up with almost the exact same same wing posture between shots. I had upgraded from the T6s (which remained my backup body) which has a very similar 24MP sensor but the minor differences sometimes mean a lot. Firstly the dynamic range at lower ISOs is worse on the T6s, though that's only if you're going to be pulling up shadows. The high ISO performance is similar but slightly worse on the T6s which sometimes leaves this greenish noise behind. I noticed you're using Adobe colour profiles in Lightroom - I found there is a big tradeoff between the Camera vs Adobe profiles. The Camera profiles retain better colours on edges at high ISOs but sometimes leaves a streaked multi-colour noise (amp noise) throughout the image. Amp noise is far less obvious with the Adobe profiles but the colours are flat and lose their definition aroudn edges (for example red on a bird's beak or legs). Unfortunately my 80D died out with getting an Error 30 recently (likely the shutter mechanism is out), and surprisingly my T6s outlasted it. I decided on going for the R6, but am looking at new lenses now as unfortunately my Tamron 150-600 G2 suffers from autofocus issues. Are you using all points for the autofocus or just a cluster? I generally use a single point or 9-point cluster 80D did fairly well for fast-flying birds (swallows and kingfishers). I've seen some users say to turn tracking sensitivity way down but I never felt the need to do that. I do turn off colour tracking (which is only helpful for tracking faces). What's a bit ironic is how some users claim the 80D tracks better than the 90D does. I haven't tried it though it seems they just added 10fps while keeping an AF system that can't keep up.
I used single point on my 80D, but I am now shooting on an R5 so I use eye tracking 85% of the time. You’ll love that R6, the 80D was a solid camera in terms of AF, not flawless by any means but good, but the mirrorless stuff is on another level. Not to mention you’ll get better noise handling, frame rate, etc. Enjoy it! Canon has really knocked it out of the park with the new mirrorless cameras, I haven’t picked up my 80D to use on wildlife a single time since getting the R5.

Sorry but that was an awful review, I understand you have to be even handed and honest but you pretty much just shredded the camera. I've been shooting wildlife for nearly six years and not once have I had to use an ISO about 3200, and that includes shooting just after dawn. 7fps is also really manageable especially if you know your subject and can partially anticipate it's behaviour. For the price point of the 80D you're not going to find a tip end AF system, sure you can go for a 7D mk ii or possibly an original 1DX both of which have better AF but come with other compromises.
