The 2TB Series X looks awesome. I love the constellation design, reminds me of the Halo Infinite limited edition but slightly understated. I wouldn't personally buy it as I never need more than 1TB, but for those who play big games like COD it's a no-brainer. You're actually saving money as opposed to buying an external SSD.

The special edition Series X is probably the last Xbox console with a built-in disc drive. I want to buy it just for that reason. And I've been thinking about having a 2nd Series X in case my day 1 Series X has potential problems as it gets older.

I don´t really understand the DE. It´s the exact same device missing the disc drive, so where is the point in buying it? The old version with disc drive is even cheaper as its on sale everywhere. They should´ve at least make it more compact, optimize the power consumption or give it more storage as that is most needed on an all digital console. I would´ve loved to see a new version of the controller with more haptic feedback as announced a few months ago. Other than that I am really happy with this generation, the console is still fantastic and even more is the Gamepass. Very happy to have switched from PS to Xbox for this generation!

The digital version is sort of tempting since they are releasing COD onto Game Pass now, but the deal break is not having a 2 TB SSD in it. Sadly, no upgrades on the hardware apart from larger hard drives which is disgusting. I hope that these bomb for MicroGreed as they are treating us like mugs.
The question I have is why would you get an xbone when you can just get a pc? It made sense back in the days of the xbox 360, but not now when consoles are just bad computers that you can't upgrade or adjust.

I like digital because say if you got a mlb the show 24 on disk and a few months later the disk got Scratch up you would have to buy another copy of the game. Digital you buy the game once and forget as long as you keep your Microsoft account up to date 👍
Elite Series 2 is soo good. I can’t go back to a regular Xbox controller. Elite S2 works on steam deck but the regular controller is not. Also battery life is insane for the ES2.

Technically, none of the series models have a disc drive. Some of them have an optical drive, but none of them have a disc drive. In fact I don’t think you’ve seen a this drive in 20 years using hard drives using optical drives. They really missed a great opportunity to make the dots glow either by: super small LED's or glow in the dark, or chameleon pigment, or like iridescent/ holographic finish so they shimmer different in different angles, or retro reflective powder to light up when hit by a direct light source (like road signs) or perhaps even fibre glass. 🥲

It’s kind of convenient that have to buy batteries or put rechargeable batteries and swap them out all the time better just buying an extra controller and when this one goes dead, you throw it on the charger. Can you pick up the other one and by the way the first one on the PlayStation the one that came with it is rechargeable anyone you buy is going to be rechargeable built right in Stand and admittedly, I don’t think it’s too expensive to buy the recharging stand and it comes with a battery pack and all that to make your Xbox controller work like a PlayStation controller minus the fact that it doesn’t have any of the PlayStation controllers are so well known for But it should come out of the box for chargeable buy extra shit for a device that you’re gonna use five or six hours I mean you’re you’re gonna constantly be taking batteries out every day gamers are gonna take their batteries out of charging or charging stand and buy rechargeable batteries that work with that and put it in the charger every night, but that’s an additional expense on top of buying the consul itself at a minimum that new $600 consul came with the rechargeable controller is the new controller that supposed to have haptic feedback and all the nicety that Xbox was trying to copy from white station that was supposed to be released in July and was supposed to come with this yearnew expensive premium special consul is that it was supposed to be rechargeable as well

Interesting to know for me is if the digital Series X uses lower energy without the disk drive. And finally: You have the "new" consoles there. Why is MS not release them now??

Technically, none of the series models have a disc drive. Some of them have an optical drive, but none of them have a disc drive. In fact I don’t think you’ve seen a this drive in 20 years using hard drives using optical drives. This drives our relic of the past, I mean, have you actually seen a drive in a PCand they don’t even know don’t even put them in desktops anymore. Let alone laptops in any case you’re talking about an optical drive not a disk drive.

Only a tiny fraction of the gaming community gives two shits about an optical drive collectors and UA-camr statue cares about an optical drive and people who have some idiotic ideas that when they buy a piece of plastic in the store, they now own that game you don’t own shit you’re still just paying for a license to use it a limited license to use it for long as the developer or the owner of the IP says you can use it And they have numerous way to stop you from you know you can’t use it anymore and nowadays mostly it’s built-in so that is if they shut it down it’s just shut down. They put an online component in almost everything and it’s way more convenient if I’m going to a friends house and he wants to see some game I just bought. I can just login into my PSN and install it and he can go to town, but get over there and he says that oh shit I forgot but digital login and download there’s absolutely no reason unless you’re a collector of games you wanna collect them this way they have you got shells full decades of games what you’re talking about like a fraction of a percent of the population that gets to shit about that
