    Last year I bought too many Hobonich’s for planning. So, now I am using those empty planners as notes or just to jot something down, completely ignoring the dates. It’s actually been really nice having the wonderful tomeo paper as a place to just doodle or whatever.

      love that! I keep picking up the weeks to play with ink samples and it's been really fun.

      @@rachelonpaper Oh, that’s a good idea too. I might use that idea and swatch all my Tombows and gel pens. Now, why didn’t I think of that before 😂

    This video is really helpful. I have ADHD and got the cousin. It’s been slightly overwhelming but also the one planner I’m still using in April lol. Also have really been trying to determine a good layouts where work and personal are mixed and this has been perfect!!

    I used to live in Alexandria and walked to Penny Post all the time! Miss having a cute place like that nearby

    Glad to see you liked reading Sombody's Daughter. I've had it on my pile for a while, picked it up then put it down. Time to pick it back up again. Also enjoyed seeing your set-up and have decided to use your idea for the monthly dashboard while adding in some of my own ideas. I'm a therapist and find that alot of my personal goals are tied up with my work goals too. I try to separate them in my planner for clarity, but the alignment of my career with my values is what fulfills me. Thanks for the walkthrough and congrats on your PhD!

      I loved Somebody's Daughter and Ashley Ford's writing! Def recommend. And yes, so agree with what you said!! (re the fulfillment that comes from aligning my career with my values). Although, I do think it makes it harder to create firmer boundaries in my head between work/personal tasks/goals.

    I separate my work and personal always utilizing a productivity planner as my master tracker, but as you do I track what I’m going to do each day in my Cousin. Congrats on completing your doctorate program. 🎉

    I love using the sterling ink sub box - I get it for the same reason! I want to keep my sticker stash pretty minimal; and her stuff is the right mix of moody & gorgeous and it suits me so well!

    1:14 this is exactly the reason why I always used the weekly layout instead of the daily: the daily has so much space that I am really overwhelmed by it, and the weekly has only one column for the todos! 😅😅😅🤣🤣🤣

    • @rachelonpaper
      @rachelonpaper  Рік тому

      I've tried using the weeklies for to do's but find the column too narrow and i like use the weeklies for memory keeping more. but glad that works for you!

    11:23 there’s lots of shops that sell stickers that cover those dates and you could stick them and re dot it.

      that's a great reminder! I think i knew those stickers existed but never picked them up since i'm only using the cousin this way for this first time this year. I'll def check those out.

    Thank you for this video. I am new to Hobonichi, just got a Cousin, and am still thinking of how to make it work best for me. In the meantime would you please tell me which pens those are on the left? They are beautiful! I assume they are fountain pens? That green is beautiful!

    • @rachelonpaper
      @rachelonpaper  Рік тому +1

      You are so welcome! The two pens are fountain pens: 1) the TWSBI mini in rose gold and 2) Kaweco Sport in Olive.

    What is in your passport TN?

    • @rachelonpaper
      @rachelonpaper  Рік тому +1

      I had 3 inserts in the passport TN: 1) monthly insert from traveler's company 2) weekly insert (also from traveler's company) and 3) blank dot grid notebook (note, that i am no longer using that set up though lol)
