Thank you for this video, especially the opening part. My 1-year-old Bernerse Mountain Dog is a pup with a sensitive stomach. When she was 6 months old we started with horrible diarrhea that went on for weeks. I called our family vet. She worked her up and after a negative work up she started her on Hill's GI Biome and it fixed the issue in days.

Maybe she has fiber responsive colitis, I believe GI biome is a treatment for that.

I’ve started my research already
I feed my dogs Instinct chicken kibble raw boost for sensitive tummies now because one won’t eat any other brand. My dogs love the food and their poop is finally great. I used your scale to compare and it’s within limits.. I will say the protein is a bit higher at 31% not off by much. Instinct uses a freezing method to kill off bacteria. I agree, pregnant woman should be careful when dealing with freeze dry raw, but instinct pet food has been a blessing in our home ❤ I feel overwhelmed with joy that I found this food. My dog is smiling all the time and is so excited for feeding time.
Regarding raw: I believe dogs can eat raw and raw is more natural for them. There is not an animal in the world, who eats meat, that eats it cooked. I agree, raw can be dangerous if not handled properly

Hi, can you please tell me how much calorie does a 34kg very active dog needs a day? Roughly 3-4 hrs of walk a a day with some running and hiking as well.

@@AnimalDocRea Yeah, had to take a break from fighting with strangers on the Internet. Will try to keep my comments short. Like for this product, the "sensitive stomach" is the rabbit protein but company still failed to deliver on its promise.
So, this product only exists because consumers don't know how intolerances or allergies work.
What kind of nutrition education do you get in veterinary school that is not funded by the top 3 foid companies?
At my school, I was taught by a double boarded nutritionist/internist and he had no affiliations. Coursework is listed in the description box, but keep in mind not only is there a dedicated course, nutrition in tis entirety is not taught simply in any one solitary class, but additionally weaved throughout the coursework (much like all the subjects: pharmacology, anatomy, ect) . I can’t speak to the entirety of veterinary schools across the world or across the decades. Many vets also have undergraduate degrees in the sciences as well. My additional degree in animal science also included extensive nutrition training across many species, and was also not affiliated with any company.

Need a good kibble for a 3 toy poodles. They been on Dr.Martys. my vet is saying they should have a more crunchy kibble to help there teeth. Have had lots of dental issues.

I’m not convinced crunchy kibble can take the place of brushing the teeth daily or having professional scaling and X-rays done every 6-12 months. In that note, I also find dental treats useless as far as preventing dental disease. As far as Dr. Marty, I believe that is a raw formula? That absolutely promotes dental dz due to the bacteria that will colonize the mouth, so I’d say if you prefer a moist over dry, anything that is not raw probably will serve you better.
100% agree about the Marty's food stays on their teeth. We all live in my van. Night time it's all 4 of us brushing teeth.
I do have a new puppy that's on Tuckers raw. Uuugghh.. I was looking at Pristine or Open Farms but I saw your video on the OFs. Than you for answering and helping.
Other note I'm a organic healthy eater. I'd like my dogs to have something as healthy.

Happy Purrsday. This is one of your best videos. You are so entertaining. You gave the best explanation of a raw diet I have heard. My cats eat a limited amount of raw ground beef. They mostly eat boiled chicken thighs with bone broth. (they also eat other foods and supplements) Instinct does not say this food is for "sensitive stomach." Another NBC faux pas? See what I did there? LOL
