Honestly? We should bring back big, poofy ball gowns. I want it to be socially acceptable to go to a party in something that could be considered a wedding dress. It's just so feminine and fancy I love it
but..you are not going to wear that garment to a wedding, right?
qbunny YESSS
qbunny I've worn one before ;-; but only to a gala. I wish I could wear big poofy dresses to every event man
qbunny become a Lolita I don't know if it's socially acceptable but it's pretty af
I AM philseyelash I adore Lolita fashion, but I'd never dress that way because of the stares I'd get ^^;
Now time to bring back capes
SamFandom No CAPES (reference)
David Rosolovski I like your style
YEEEEEES
SamFandom NO CAPES
DEATHLY HALLOWS 😍
The sound effects on this video is pissing me off. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
*are
Patience Lashanique innit😂
Malvavisco are* || thanks dude!
Patience Lashanique Check out my new challenge and subscribe 👍🏻
Patience Lashanique what pisses me off is that you have not been in grammar class
corset dresses. i love them so much and wish that they were super popular again (no hate please. ive heard it all)
Luna wear those then... Guess we can still find it in certain shops?
id love to but i dont know where to find them
Luna learn to sew and make one, or have one custome made
do you know where i can have one made? :D
Luna go to a dressmaker and tell them what you want. Those dresses will cost a lot since they have a lot of fabric and work involved, but if you really want to wear them there's nothing stopping you. I wear 20s-50s dresses which aren't exactly trendy
Who didn't know this? Just like pink used to be a masculine colour 🙄
Mollie Poppen so we shouldn't teach others because some people already know it?? What's the point of your comment?
Eliser 19 the whole point is this video was pointless with semi-useless info & if you REALLY wanted to know about these types of things you'd do actual research not watch a random Buzzfeed video.
But wouldn't it be faster looking in up on youtube then rather looking it up on google? But hey, you do you, im not gonna judge.
Its Doge mf Ok, but who's gonna look up "The History of High Heels" on UA-cam?
Im not talking about 1 specific subject. Like for example, if you want to research stuff about space, wouldnt it be better to just watch a video about it? I mean if you like reading then go ahead, im not gonna stop you.
LETS BRING BACK CLOAKS AND CAPES!!!!!
NO CAPES!
HereIAm247 is that from the Incredibles😂
where's my super suit ?!
you never walk alone Whaaat?
Dementos WHERE IS MY SUPERSUIT ?!
HISTORY OF PANTSUITS but all worn by hillary clinton
Yesssss
Don't act like the egotistical sexual predator known as Donald Trump (who won't release his tax records) is any better.
NyanKittyKat maybe he doesn't want to release his tax records because scammers like Hillary will lie about it
Claire Abbott They can't lie. All of the proof would be public, it'd be like telling somebody a strawberry is blue as they watch you eat it. You can't lie about what is very obvious, and has facts right there.
Do a video about chokers 😫 should be interesting
Charline Marie I have a feeling it would get kinky fast
yes. yes it will.
www.buzzfeed.com/leonoraepstein/the-secret-and-not-so-secret-history-of-choker-necklaces?.ugX4BeAex#.ioQNV4L4q
I mean it's literally called "choker", how do people think it will not involve any bdsm stuff??
Τζένη Χιονίδη k
honestly, we need to bring back capes and long, graceful dresses (that aren't stick-to-your-skin tight)
plantgIitter So women can't wear pants ( which I prefer wearing than dresses) anymore?
+arkila enilo Nobody even said that 😂
Agatha jay Yes. And I'm "that one person who flip".
Agatha jay Yeah, It was a bad idea watching a video and reading comments while having a bad mood...
Srry 'bout that. I was in a bad mood when I commented that...
I want 50's fashion to come back!! Specifically the hair and the classic circle skirts!
Do the history of red lipstick ! 🐺💄
Though I can appreciate the aesthetics of heels. I kinda wish they had stayed in the past. I can't walk the dang things. But as others said capes... And top hats. : D
Joshua R They are when you have a foot condition.
Joshua R I mean, sorry if I'm being sexist, but your username implies that you are a male, and I don't usually see many men just casually walking around in heels. Do you wear heels?
Joshua R I can handle wedges, but I'll never be able to walk in a stiletto for example. And don't get me wrong! I love how they look, but I genuinely can't. The shoe I want are the Julian Hakes mojito heels, I might be able to walk in those. Not sure yet, checking for reviews.
+Joshua R I'm not trying to hate but heels are a lot harder to walk in than wedges.. Wedges are actually easy to walk in.
+Joshua R Oh sorry. It's just that you put wedges in the same category as heels.. So I assumed that you thought that they were the same which they are not. As I said before, heels, usually stilettos, are hard to walk in.
I love the sound that heels make!
Maria Andree Tobias Mombiela I do too, but after 5 seconds of walking down a quiet hallway and only hearing that it starts to grate on my nerves, especially when everyone starts staring at you when your shoes disturb the quiet.
469ka37 I think the noise is annoying because of the attention it'll give you. wedges don't make noise and they're heels.
Rose Ray what kind of wedges do you wear, mine make the same amount of noise if not more.
Joshua R you don't know how to walk in heels. they don't make noise.
Joshua R they don't make noise. I know how to walk in heels and wedges don't make noise.
you can own 30 pairs but that doesn't mean you know how to walk in them. Lots of women think they know how to walk in heels but that don't. you probably plant your whole foot down like they're regular shoes.
Wow. We've evolved with heels. 1600 heels looks like it will give you a splinter.
Lisa Bonae yeah but that wasn't accurate. Women wore heels in the 1500's that were quite thin and heels of the 16th century looked very similar to those of the 16th century
Knee high socks need to come back!!!!!!
Lily Puddicombe yes
I'm pretty sure people still wear those.
Alexandria Baker people still do, heck, I do!!!!
But I really want it to come back as a trend of 2017!!!!!
a lot of japanese people wear knee high socks
Lily Puddicombe You need to listen Arctic Monkeys' _Knee Socks_ xD
We need to bring back capes! They are so amazing and look awesome too!
Big Gowns just like Marie Antoinette has! I like classic things❤️
In my opinion, we shouldn't have to "bring something back". If there is a certain fashion item you like, wear it. It doesn't matter if it was "brought back" or currently popular or anything like that.
Like with me, I loooove vintage clothing that literally no one wears anymore and if the vintage clothes I got from the thrift store would actually fit me, I'd be wearing them and wouldn't give a damn if people didn't like it lmao.
We should bring back full body armor so we can just run into stuff all the time and be fine.
do more videos of men's fashion being transformed into women's fashion. leggings, pantyhose, skirts. we still got our pants though. that's all we got left.
I think guys should start wearing heels again.
I've seen a few guys wearing creepers, which kinda counts?
Kitty Katt I almost broke my leg, no thank you.
Some boots tend to have heels, saint Laurent does some pretty high heels for men
Only for Horse riding..
@Joshua Rivers um.. No. We don't
In all seriousness though. I want them to bring back the knee length skirts and dresses from the 50's-60's. That fashion is so cute, and classy.
And for the men to dress in these suits. Technically this would be considered "hipster" now but you can never find this fashion in stores!
Also capes.
Capes, drop waist dresses, hats, and finger waves all NEED to come back! I would also love if ball gowns were fashionable again
i dont wear high heels but this seems interesting
I used to wear a cloak almost constantly. I honestly think I'm one of, like, 5 people who wore a cloak in my town. PLEASE bring back cloaks. They are awesome!
lol someone had fun editing this
We need to bring back Victorian era dresses. They were so pretty and classy!
this video is so well made, * rain of sarcasm *
I personally think that the loin cloth should definitely make it's comeback soon
Well, I'm going to be honest, I'm a bit vintage obsessed (ranging from the forties mostly), but I personally think that braces should tak a come back, I know that a few hipsters are rocking them, or geeks, but I honestly think the they were a awesome piece of clothing.
I used to be a heel obsessive but since becoming disabled with a condition which effects my mobility, I'm all about hats now. I've been known to sport an original 1930s satin and velvet creation to pop to the pound shop 😁
Marriage of Figaro is such a quality piece
We need to bring capes back into fashion!
Can we bring back big hats, like the ones worn in Titanic?
we should bring back the big princess ballgown dresses!
Capes. We NEED to bring back capes!
I WANT TI SEE THE DIFFERENT THINGS ABOUT DRESSES
Really loved the heels at 0:44
There's a great episode about this topic on the 99% invisible podcast that goes into more detail, if anyone's are interested.
The thumnail of the 1600s heel looked like a burnt pancake
whippicream Exactly what I thought! 😂😂😂
CAPES BRING BACK CAPES LIKE HOODED ONE LIKE LITTLE RED RIDIN HOOD
Next I'd love to see a 'History of Chokers (or Necklaces)' video.
They are starting to get ideas people, applause to them.
Mochi Babyy JIMININE
That fifty shades darker 360 commercial was fye 😱😱😨
I love the use of Tchaikovsky's fourth symphony on here. I hated playing that goddamn piece
So I agree with the capes from what I read in the comments I would also like gloves. We already got the choker back, I would love to see all types of gloves like lace, leather, satin. I would also like to see like Parasol's they where so cute plus a good way to not get sunburned during the day when you went out for walks.
Canes as a fashionable accessory needs to be a thing again.
Of course Buzzfeed is a credible source for an educational history video
1960's-80's rockstar fashion needs to come back. Aka interesting prints, shapes, and fabrics with extra accessories.
We should most definitely bring back capes
i just love the marble background
Oooh do history of skirts / dresses next ? I love fashion history and fashion symbolism meaning type info.
Let's bring back the weird accordion neck things
Victorian era fashion! Long lace skirts, capes and cloaks, etc. The fashion of the era in which both Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland movies take place!
90s grunge bring it back everywhere
The thumbnail was the only reason I clicked on this video and it wasn't even there
i feel like this could be part of a documentary series about the history of certain types of clothes . i can see it now "walk a mile in their shoes"
I love Heels, glad men started them because some of us are still keeping it going.👠
now I will tell my dad to wear the heels
Haniyazahid Hzahidmunir81 spying program.eze
People should wear capes more often.
What about the reintroduction of heels in men's fashion in the 60s and 70s? The British Invasion also brought the use of Cuban heels. Certainly the disco craze took full advantage of high heeled styles for men as well. For dressy occasions I rock Florsheim boots with 3.5 inch heels 👠👞
Personally, I'd kill for a Victorian style dress line but with the obvious modernized twist but not scandalous looking.
Also, I appreciate all the capes comments, because I do agree that capes need to be back in style.
this felt like a class presentation lol
I did a project of this in grade 11, if only this video existed then
everyone is saying bring back capes
me in Edna Mode's voice: NO CAPES
We need to bring back capes/cloaks and knee high heeled boots for men so we can all look like pirates
An actually interesting video for once in a long time
Wow,this is insanely awesome
we need to bring back the codpiece
DITA VON TEESE, MY QUEEN
I don't know about fashion trends we should bring back but since it's almost the 20s again lets bring back jazz and swing music.
The pretty shiny black shoes, like the ones Alice from wonderland wears.
i want the history of buzzfeed
we should bring back upsidown and sideways visors from the 90's
I wish for cloaks again. Just try one out, you'll see what I mean.
WE NEED TO BRING CAPES BACK
capes and hoods!
that fashion statement was MADE for river song
High heels so high
We suffer for fashion
But why?
They got a power we can't deny
....I think I finally understand why people at the ball thought Cinderella was a princess. Not the dress, not the hair, not her smile: THE SHOES!!! Only the rich would have glass shoes!!! #ChildhoodExplained
the thumbnail made me go "what are thooooose"
This was very cool and informative
Weren't some men wearing platform shoes in the 70s though??
I have red heels just like those in the thumbnail! Except I doubt those particular ones are Charlotte Russe.
ball gowns. Bring back ball gowns
This video gives me the 2014 buzzfeed vibe
I dare anyone to bring back the codpiece!
so original buzzfeed never seen this one before
Bring back crazy leg warmers😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I think we need to bring back the original bell bottom and straight leg (red snaps) jeans
I want the Elizabethan collar to come back!
brendon makes those high heels work
Cloaks should be brought back. They look cool and are probably comfortable.
I've been wearing heels every day since 2007 👠
IheartSweeneyT your poor feet
IheartSweeneyT arthritis, hallux rigidus, plantar faciitis, bunions.. Do you actually WANT to keep walking all your life? Give your feet a beeak!
bring back Victorian gowns please
I love my heels! If I leave my house, I have heels on!
Bring back the Muff but with a hidey hole for our phones!
CAPES AND CLOAKS NEEDS TO BE BROUGT BACK
Dita! 😍
long vaporous dresses need to be brought back as a everyday wear. I. WANT. TO. FEEL. A. PRINCESS. EVERYDAY.
