I grew up in the 00s watching Underworld, and I just feel in love with Kate Beckinsale right away. Stunning lady, and terrific actress all in all. I love that, despite her very elegant exterior, she always goes back to doing Underworld -Normally those action girls are annoying because they always cast them wrong. But Kate is just perfect in the role, mainly because she is such a good actress :)

The nose has had a little bit of help from the plastic surgeon. In 1996 she played Emma in a TV adaptation, and she was nowhere near as beautiful as she is now.
I'm sorry, but this man is *not* a good interviewer. I'm aware of his reputation, but he asked her if her daughter had an accent literally immediately after she had said she'd brainwashed her daughter into having her same exact accent. Also, she said her stepfather was a Trotskyist from the Worker's Revolutionary Party and he said "the Liberals".
Couple that with his apparent surprise to everything she said about herself, no matter how relevant (her family's show business tradition), betraying a complete lack of research on his part and an unwillingness to ask follow-up questions, I can not for the life of me understand why this man is so well-regarded.

How did he not know about her daughter and father or about Oxford before this interview? Seems like a bit of a research fail. I also feel like he's not really listening here at the beginning (starts to pay more attention as the interview goes on). I usually quite like Larry King's interviews, but this could have been better. Guess everyone has their off days. Plus, why doesn't anyone ask directors and producers if they're annoyed about the pay inequality? Just actresses. The people who decide on the pay rates are the ones who should be talking about it.
He also did an interview with her in 2012 (Total Recall cast) and then THEY DISCUSSED ABOUT OXFORD!
He did not know about her Dad cos neither Porridge, Going Straight nor Rising Damp were ever shown in the States.

Cecelia M, that's kind of his style though isnt it? He likes to go in cold and learn as the interview progresses. In terms of previously having discussed Oxford, he's talked to a shocking number of people in his working life alone. It's not that weird.

I'm a big Beckinsale fan. I love her laugh and explanations. I have also picked up that that she is rather dry in her wit. She doesn't laugh or smile at her own jokes, so it's a case of blink and you'll miss it. High IQ that one has; not to be trifled with. I just watched Love and Friendship and loved it. I'm going to dig out more of her movies. All the love!
Larry simply does not listen and reads questions from his crib sheet. It's disrespectful and poor old Kate doesn't get a chance to shine, though she sparkles beautifully.

Oh dear. The guy is creepy, unprofessional, in fact words fail me. Kate did a tremendous job in keeping this all together, she knew what she was dealing with and handled it very well.what an absolute star.

Feel a little bad for Kate here. Clearly very intelligent, witty, well spoken and beautiful but you get the sense that Larry isn’t paying attention to her answers. Might be how it’s edited but all feels a bit rushed

Pay should be on talent, skill and box office appeal, not whether you have a pair.
I don't get why Larry King is revered. He didn't even know her father was a well known comedian in England nor how many Underwolrds there've been nor that her mother's an actress. I remember when he was interviewing Seinfled, Larry asked if Seinfeld had been cancelled. He's so dull and asks assebly line questions.
