Hey mate, well done! Finally someone that is able to properly explain in detail, how to incorporate a template into an existing project. I'm just getting into UE5 and am trying to learn blueprints also. It's a bit of a learning curve. I downloaded Horror Engine, but no detailed tutorials such as this one. Are you going to add more features to this one at all, such as what Horror Engine offers...keys, locks, levers, weapons etc? I'm keen to buy this Backrooms template. Do you think it would work in a horror mansion with my own AI enemies? Also, do you have any tutorials to be able to switch to body cam view also? To use your player blueprints, is it simply safer to delete existing ones in your own project?Just subbed and will check out your channel. Keep up the excellent content!
I’ve seen like 3 backrooms games on steam use your asset base xD they are all bad but, your asset is really well made, i just wish people didnt use it to copy and paste 3 of the same game on steam lol Great work tho!
Mr. Justin, when I played the demo file of this game, seriously when the monster entity came, I was really shocked... 😂😂😂 And the scariest thing it never stopped chasing, until I stopped and he killed the player ( the player was me. ) 💀💀💀
Yes, I think i need to adjust the timer for when he stops chasing on the demo level. I'm also thinking of adding a realism function where the monster can't automatically know where you are when chasing you, and has to attempt to follow based on line-of-sight. But I'll first have to see how well this sells and whether its worth the additional time investment.
@@etheriondesignsYeah. Maybe, when after 30 seconds the player run and hide the back from the walls of The Backrooms, the monster will stop chasing and it looking for us.
@@cg.man_aka_kevin Its actually 10 seconds already, but if you run, the monster can hear the sound. So you just have to be far enough away from them. But there are 2 monsters in the level, so maybe you just rand from one to the other
@@etheriondesigns Ah ok, if you already included the ini file then we don't need to redefine all the keys. I don't think we can combine 2 or more input files together inside UE5.
@@VerumBit Yeah, this tutorial is how to add this package to your own custom project. I included both methods here just in case customers have their own input already and need to combine them
Was the animation of the entity monster recorded? So we're just tweaking the parameters of the speed he's chasing and when the entity monster start to come out of hiding...
@@etheriondesigns I know, but is the animation recorded animation or is it generated motion according to where the player is? It's like the monster coming to his players to attack.
Hi, there is a tutorial i made for this. Please see the product description on the marketplace for more info, such as how to replace the VCR effect. ua-cam.com/video/LSrrPKT4gLs/v-deo.html

@@etheriondesigns it’s worth it!! I’d love to see updates!
2:14 you can Export your input keys, upload them so that we can download the ini file and Import it instead of creating the input key by key ;)
Are you saying you know a way to combine existing inputs with new inputs via an import method? My upload already has the ini file included.

Not sure what you mean by recorded. He was animated. Everything in the package is real-time and is not a cinematic.

@@cg.man_aka_kevin Its artificial intelligence. The Monster will chase the player.
@@etheriondesigns Owh, just found out there is that crazy feature... :O
@@cg.man_aka_kevin Yes, its set up to be a full gameplay experience.
if there a way to intergrate this player bp into my own player
how to remove this vhs effect because I have my own
There is a Variable in BP_Player_Pawn which is called "VHS Type". Change its default state to "none"
