I’m in marching band and before every competition we put our hands in and say “low brass kicks ass” lol
When you play a low saxophone such as tenor or bari, you start to question if you are low brass or woodwind.

Hey Matonizz, quick question. I get a double buzz when switching partials to Bb due to a weak and inconsistent embrouchure. Do you suggest doing long tones to get rid of this?
Long tone are great, I would recommend bunch of freebuzzing and lip bends alongside long, mid-low tones. Hope that helps friend. Best, M

Bari sax is the best because you get to be a saxophone and also get to play some of the same cool parts that low brass plays

I’m a French horn
I can’t wait to have the money to buy my own instrument. Before I started University I played Tenor Horn in my local brass band, and loved it. I do wish I had learned Euph or Trombone though, as the horns don’t get the tune unless it is some sort of sci-fi movie theme.
Or circus music. Carl King wrote "Barnum and Bailey 's favorite" as a baritone horn player for Barnum and Bailey circus. French Horns cannot play fast enough for galops (start with cut time then play it rwice that fast) so circus bands used baritones instead. At that time 25 musicians was small. The tradeoff for a great sounding featured part is that it is hard. Carl King did write music for high school bands and the town band he led most of his career but circus bands require Matonniz level professionals and he wrote accordingly.

Varies from instrument to instrument, but the note you are probably talking about and the one I'm playing on 4th instead of 2 is concert A. And yes, it's a bit flat on 2 sometimes and less centered on some euphonium. Hope that answers the question friend. Best, M

Baritone has a brighter sound
It's a smaller instrument kinda more trumpet like and euphonium is more like tuba.
