Best of Luck. I would also recommend you to learn from life of Imran Khan as a cricketer, philanthropist and now political leader. He said in his speeches time and again "Onchay Onchay Khwab dehko" "Kamyabi kay leay koi Shortcut nahe marna"

It's tremendous to know that (Hassan) you are reading books 📚 you are better than the majority of the population here in Pakistan 🇵🇰 who didn't have any connection with books. Continue with your struggle and read as much as you can no matter if you don't have degrees if you have a connection with books and movies you can learn a lot without any degrees. Dr. Sb channel is like a blessing of God for us. We have Hamid Mir and other journalists The majority of our public listens and likes them. But there is no comparison of Dr. Moeed with the rest of the famous journalists. If we compare Exposure wise Dr sb is outstanding among all others. The sad thing is, after the regime change operation the situation of Pakistan is the worst place for free thinkers and for elite and intellectual class. Our (illegitimate respectables) institutes blacked mailed tortured and murdered the public, journalists and political persons.

Animal Farm by George Orwell is another excellent read. Short and very relevant, anyone, anywhere can easily relate to it. Revolution is prone to betrayal. Although the main theme is communism around WW2, it's frightening to see how people in our part of the world find themselves in a similar situation.

    Sir,
Unequivocally, Henry Kissinger played unprecedented role in the rapprochement between the US and China in the president Nixon era and beyond. However, John Mearsheimer ( offensive realist and professor of political Science in the Chicago university) has disputed some of his liberal policy towards China in his book, "The Great Delusion- liberal hegemony vs international reality".

I ve been propagating towards book reading since long. It is owing to my firm belief that our degradation previously, currently and essentially futuristically, is due to decline in book reading thus diminished knowledge. By now I have also distributed a large number of books, till recently.
In this backdrop it is an obvious pleasure and joy to learn about this great effort. May Allah strengthen you for this cause.

Yaa, it's time to have a proper English news network for the people of Pakistan. 2nd thing is our mainstream media channels are not producing true and quality content, we are not able to compare our content with global news channels so it's time to have a proper and reliable English news network. Where we can discuss our problems and free speech and the spirit of inquiry are appreciated there, where we discuss that, we are lumber ones from the bottom in the whole region and the worst situation of our education, health, agriculture, and science and technology, IT and telecom.

Since then we're only running for catching our shadows, left far away the taste and charm of book reading sens, and those friends as well when eachday a new book was in chat amongst us. Please keep exploring the new books, thank you again.

“All happy families are alike; each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.” One is hard put not to quote the most famous of the opening lines every time ‘Anna Karenina’ is mentioned.
It is interesting to observe that you chose to relate this classic to that time of your life when perhaps the prevailing title would’ve been“ The One That Got Away”. Just a bit of gentle teasing from a regular viewer. :)
I am pleased that the personal account has a happy ending of “ highly successful doctor in United States ” and not a tragic scene at railway tracks.

And I was a young confused medical graduate not knowing what to do with my life; my mother & Khala used to tell me that for good marriages men should be at least 10 years older than their wives; over years - through several experiences & reading - I have also learnt that women need emotionally stable men to bear their own energy and turbulence! So she was definitely lucky! We again met after a few years! And we still had that chemistry!

I recently read Overthrow by Stephen Kinzer and next on my list are Covert Regime Change (O'Rourke) and No exit from Pakistan (Markey). I used to think why a developing country like ours would be of any interest to the US, but these books have been a big eye opener to understand how critical our political situation is right now :/
Definitely going to order your first two suggestions. The only one I have read from your list is 1984 but that too from a perspective of being a classic. Sad to see how it is more relevant than ever to the situation in our own country.

Dr Sahab, I was inspired by you in General Mysharraf's era of governing Pakistan most admirably. I was quite disappointed by his Presidency though, where he got to compromise politically on so many issues. These compromises were not matched with his tall and brave personality neither his successful governing philosophy. Finally he paid the price and lost a quite winning battle against 60 years old corrupt, illiterate, dishonest and the most cruel Mafias of all kinds in this great country. I am saying it great because after all this injustice and corruption this country still exist on the world's map.
I am following you for a few months and try to watch all your videos which are very intellectuals and based on in depth analysis and wisdom. You and Dr. Shahid Masood are different in the lot and quite an interesting that both of you have medicine as origin. By listening and watching both of you in particular along with a few other honest and brave generalists, and a few in our institutions, are still sincere with this country and they want to see Pakistan as a strong, respectful and a speedily rising developed nation in the world not only politically and economically but also morally having strong and real positive Islamic values in all walks of life.
Please keep up your good work for the youth to drag and convert them into a wise, literate, positive, honest, hard working and a truthful society based on the principle rules of Islam which are Justice, Peace, Welfare and achieving excellence in education.

Thanks for this wonderful contribution. What worked for my children best was: “Look what I read today “, then I used to go one narrating for a while and one of my children snatched the book away from me and started reading. Any books thrust on them ended up making a huge pile in my garage. Thanks. I have started reading again. I finished “The Animal Farm”. Now reading “1984”. Next, The Brave New World”.

Enjoyed your book recommendations. I have found "reading" books on audible very enjoyable. This way one can listen to books while driving, jogging or doing any chores.
    I Enjoyed the following books
    1. Fall of the giants by Ken Follet.
It's a historical fiction about world War 1.
    2. Atomic Habits by James Clear.
This book gives you tools how to cultivate good habits and get rid of bad habits.
3.Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari. It's a brief history of human kind.
    4. Steve Jobs by Walter Isaccson.
Biography of Apple founder and CEO Steve Jobs
    5. Rise and fall of third Reich by William Shirer. It's about Hitler and World War II
6 Lawrence in Arabia by Scott Anderson. This book actually is about a British spy Colonel T E Lawrence in WW II but gives a beautiful prospective of how Middle East was carved out by Britain and France after fall of Ottoman Empire .
