Game's about mysteriousness and discovering everything yourself.

I am struggling with the Fark method building style, is it best to use it only on flattish ground or can it be utilized on uneven surfaces? And if used on uneven surfaces can the custom wall pillars still be used or is it best to use the rock wall pillar style?

driden, I just saw some of Farkets building videos and have saw that he updated the titles that the building method I have been attempting to use no longer works in V 1.0. Maybe he'll put out an updated building video explaining in detail what exactly works in full release and what doesn't. Im just a noob with this game for the most part lol, so I rely on his videos DEEPLY to gain knowledge on this game.

Another tip.
Bird houses are the fastest way to get feathers for making arrows and speed upgrades for weapons, as long as you also have a sap collector for the adhesive.
OR if you spend the whole time chopping down trees and have 400+ tree sap without ever needing sap collectors
13:30 you can easily protect the trees with a small double high rock wall built around the tree.
@SkullX 991 it did 2 years ago and ill bet it still works. you just need to put the wall far enough away from the tree that the enemes cant reach through the wall while they are swinging
thanks a have a world with a whole tree fort but if 1 tree falls half of it would break

Thanks dude this video was amazing! I'm a new player and this is going to help a lot. Also i wanted to share an experience about fact 40, I think it was. I was chopping down a tree on multiplayer my friend was in the base AFK looking up something. I heard something subtle from the forest.... About 30 second later I'm chopping wood and i hear a hiss i look up and that thing was standing there about to attack me! Glad it was day would've had a heart attack if it was night!

I love rewatching these old tutorials
A tip about custom roofs. When you finish a custom roof, a custom floor will auto snap to fill the entire roof area. This has Three effects. First, it makes your roof not have those giant gaps at the ends. Second, it will ACTUALLY protect you from rain. Custom roofs often do not work correctly and do not protect you from rain. Lastly, if the pitch of your roof is high enough, you can cut a hole in the snapped floor and it gives you a small storage attic. Oh, and it is very cheap. It costs very few logs to make a snapped to roof custom floor.
I started playing the forest and making videos on it about a month ago. Great video, I learned a lot!
