I tried to put a cannibal on my raft earlier to carry back to base and he went through the raft. The best part is that it sent my raft 50ft into the air. Landed safely
Flying rafts are a thing in this great game lol
Effigies are fun though. The pure gore and disgusting monument to the sins of the island seems fitting for the game.

I think the choice not to use poison arrows is a good judgment. The benefit is hardly worth the extra effort of picking poisonous berries and mushrooms. I would rather stay clear of it all, and probably get some decent arrows.
Yea another pro tip is if your on multiplayer with a friend get the plane axe and some bombs from main cannibal camp and find all the gun parts then duplicate the ammo with the tray and boom infinite ammo the flintlock also is THE BEST WEAPON in the game your looking at a 2-4 shots for grey mutants for cannibals aim for the heart the head has a smaller hit box and the heart is bigger and also a one shot easy flintlock tutorial lookup farket and he will walk you threw all the steps you f getting the flintlock
Thank you for this info, specifically what you said about 2-4 shots to kill a mutant.
I was told that the flintlock is shitty due to trouble aiming with it.
I won't use the tray cheating, that's obviously not a realistic strategy, so I guess that way ammo is limited. Perhaps very limited. If I can't work with what I'm given without cheats or glitches, I would rather play a game where ammo is abundant.

oh my God. so I just started playing this, literally know almost nothing about how to play it and what to go get.... bruh I put bonfires near my house to scare away the cannibals and I've been ATTRACTING THEM THIS WHOLE TIME. next level noob for real 😂😂😂

I built the large effigy and attracted 3 leg mutants 4 mutants that charge and headbut you... and a load of cannibals
Thank you for these videos. Just picked up the Forest and this has been super helpful. Quick question though, is there an endgame to The Forest? Or is it just a game that keeps going as long as you want it to?

In just 2 days, I was able to obtain the chainsaw, modern bow, modern axe, climbing axe, and katana with a small base. So why do you not have any of those, yet you have an enormous base and look like you’ve been playing for months?

I've played this game for the past few years now and tbh it gets much harder to make a decent fort when your 20 days into the game. I have a decent set up but my one weakness is the fat charging mutant. He fucks my base up everytime. I have an elaborate maze of traps that take out the humanoid cannibals and the other spider and donkey mutant cannibals. But what would be my best defense against the fat charging mutant? So far making sticky explosives works the best. But that really limits my options when I'm low on supplies like watches or computer chips. So help me out if you can. I'd appreciate it. Thanks
Use Molotov’s or anything that burns
12-15 arrows
You can actually build your house in the middle of the lake or on one of the many islands. You can put log holders on boat or use the turtle shell roller coaster to transfer logs.
Build on water
Deadfall traps one shot them doesn’t it
You're frames are dropping so hard; maybe my base shouldn't be too big

On effigies:
Why would you spend time dismembering enemies, only to make consumable effigies with an unreliable effect?
A disgusting project in itself. I never made one, and I am never going to.
I explored most of the game naturally.
It feels Like such a long time ago when I first rescued Timmy. at the point where I’m looking for new things to discover.
The oister and the arrow circling are two things for instance that I didn’t know about yet
I feel like most people know about the armour and cooking one. When i started playing the forest i was a multiplayer guy but i knew a bout the armour when i first saw it

I assume you mean the markers, I think you can find them near the skull lamps in the book. Hope I helped!

Make a rock bag. You can them hold 10 rocks.

Also watched your building tips and you really need to make a log catcher.
Zip line into a gazebo with single log pillars fillimg the gaps, except the entrance.
This way you can send 50 logs down at a time, 50 is the limit before they despawn.
Farket has Forest guides and can show you the exact way to build it so you don't lose logs. Otherwise I am enjoying your content.

But then gives tips for long time players that they probably didn't know. Just because he's making a video on pro tips it doesn't mean that he can't help people who are just starting out

i'm playing version 1.08 and the creepy armor gives you 150 points not 80, either you're wrong or maybe they updated it and made it weaker

These are basic tips, I'd say...
Turn playback speed to 1.5 if you're gonna watch this. The information is good but the dude talks slow as fuck. At 1.25 you can't actually tell that the video speed is even sped up and still takes like 5-6 minutes.

Seriously bud, I watched at 1.5x speed it sounded normal. At "normal" it sounds like you're playing at 0.5x speed.
I have my entire base as a alpine treehouse with foundations branching off with no walls on the ground can they knock the tree down?

Try building a stone wall around the edge if you can
