That last one was just perfect. Sums up School Run Mum's in 1 video.
It looked somewhat like being on the dodgems at a fairground, with how folks were trying to get around other cars.
This is why sensible councils ban driving around schools at the start and end of the day.
It's funny how the camera car is moaning about the traffic around the school, when it sounds like she's got a kid in the back as well, so she's part of the problem as well.
@@gordon1545 All that does is move the problem elsewhere, it doesn't help. Put back in place school catchment areas, so more kids live closer to the school, and hopefully more will walk to school instead of being chauffeured by Mummy in their stupid massive 4x4's.

Looks like a school is nearby, probably all parents dropping off / picking up their little darlings. I suspect it's chaos there every school day at start / end time and the police have given up. There's nothing anyone can do to stop parents from avoiding their little darlings having to walk a few feet more.

@@ChuckNorrisFake It's not illegal to park on the side of a road unless there are signs or markings telling you it's prohibited, her parking was atrocious but the camera car was able to pass once she was done therefore she was not parked illegally. if someone parked on the opposite side to these parked cars so there was no way though, then that would be illegal.
From experience, the police don't want to know if it's near a school. Obviously, they haven't been bribed, but there must be a reason for inaction.@@ArminGrewe

Chris at 1:04 - a little caution there wouldn't go amiss. It wasn't two lanes or anything, and the vauxhall was not indicating right so it would be wise to expect them to come around the car turning right. Not great hazard perception to squeeze down the side so fast.

Last one - "who reverses on a bend" - anyone who took their driving test in the latter half of the 20th century.
I got my licence in 88, and I don't remember having to reverse around a corner. All I had to do for my test was drive back to the driving school, and that was that.

@@mrxmry3264 reversing round a corner was one of the manoeuvres that could come up in a test, but didn’t always. There was also parallel parking and three-point turns. If I remember correctly you had to do two out of those three, chosen by the examiner.
Yes, I had to reverse round a corner and then pull up a few yards down the road. And do a 3 point turn without touching the kerbs.

Last clip, Everyday I walk my Grandchildren to School, I see Mothers in the Biggest 4x4 you can buy, doing simulator to the Berk in the Merc was doing trying to park. I like watching them, it’s great entertainment. “IF YOU CAN’T DRIVE IT DON’T BUY IT,” or WALK.

I never understood how so many people can be so bad at reversing. It's basically a pre requisite for passing your test isn't it? This at 10:15 was painful

I spent a morning organising people parking for a kids event once.
It was female heavy and the vast majority couldn't manoeuvre. A large chunk more or less had to get the handbook out to learn where reverse was and one had to have her husband recover the car. I was shocked at just how bad it was.

@@RushfanUK Nobody is saying the Mini is blameless, but again, the cammer didn't need to make it into a bigger issue than just slowing down and letting him go.
@@RushfanUK the Mini didn't have right of way and shouldn't have made the turn, but it did already commit to the turn. Cammer should have reacted by slowing off to allow it to clear and avoid possible collision. Comes down to due care and attention - Having right of way doesn't mean you won't be found at fault if there was a collision.

He's wearing a turban, so he's probably Sikh. Might be his first year in the country, so he could still be on an Indian driving license.
If you've ever watched an Indian driving test, you'll understand why he can't drive. It's basically one lap around a go-kart track (without other cars). Despite the test being a British child's birthday party, the failure rate is still over 50%.
Probably got a license from somewhere like India. IMHO those licences are not even worth the paper (or plastic or whatever) they are printed on.

Just remember footage submitters, entitlement doesn't stop crashes. The way some of the submitters drive makes me question are they pointing out others poor driving or their own. Usually there is a clear TOTW, but most of the submissions this week deserve the award.

Lots of aggressive and impatient cammers (incl cyclists), who instead of slowing down and helping making someone's mistake a non-issue are aggressively getting as close as possible, presumably because "they are in the right".
obstruction on the CARS side of road, the CAR takes up the entire opposite side of road so the cyclist had to stop.

@@AzguardMike I assume you are referring to 6:52 ? It was fairly early obvious what was going to happen. Cyclist could have slowed down a bit, kept most of his momentum and then easily accelerated through the area. Instead he decided to push as far as possible, brake hard to a stop and then waste time by giving the finger to the driver (which the driver almost certainly didn't see anyway).
@@AzguardMike The car had already started to overtake the parked vehicles before the cyclist had even got close, so they were only forced to stop because of their lack of intelligence and forward planning. Zero symapthy from me, as the situation was all their own doing.
A crap driver causes lots of problems for everyone that encounters them. Here's a mad idea, criticize the crap driver and not those being inconvenienced by them.
Unfortunately the “I have priority” brigade don’t actually realise most of the delays are caused by their own stubbornness. Yes, someone else has made a mistake, make it a non event and you will actually be on your way quicker.
Slowing down a little means keeping momentum and on your way sooner than by continuing full stream ahead into a situation, stopping and giving abuse.
Oh well, some people cannot see the irony in taking time out complaining about being held up when that is actually taking more time than the incident itself 🤷🏻♂️

@4:00 Very similar thing happened to me 3 times in one journey, though lucky no near collision. Saw someone indicate to come into my lane. I slowed down to leave a gap for them to enter, they didn't change lane. I gave them a wave / flash...they still didn't change lane. Just had to go past them assuming their indicator was just on for fun and luckily they didn't decide to suddenly move (and 3 situations had them move across into the lane they were indicating to after about 3 cars had passed, very odd).

Bigstan that mini was already turning when you approached, yes you may have right of way but but you turning into the junction before the mini completed it's move was not smart
"Who loses a shoe, honestly?" I did once... those things can fall apart suddenly. I had to walk home in the remnant which felt like a plastic sock. Always buy extra shoes and swap them out before they disintegrate.

@@richardsweetman7689 yes - I wasn't 100% certain if they were faded signs or facing the other way and the light was shining through. But now I see the woman driving got herself in a fluster trying to go the wrong way, then got annoyed at the car coming in.
I've always said that "brake checking" should hold up to a life ban on surrender of the video clip. you don't do it be accident, it's deliberately using your vehicle as a weapon.

I've often thought some of the consistently worst driving you'll ever see, is around schools at pickup time. There's lots of car makes we associate with poor driving, but as far as places, i think schools at pickup are at the top, closely followed by supermarket car parks though tbf.

1:06: Chris correct me if I’m wrong but I only see ONE lane of traffic on your side of the road.
If it’s poor road markings then please correct me if it is officially two lanes. Otherwise if it’s 1 lane then you’re illegal passing stationary or slowing traffic. The taxi is also in the wrong for illegal passing too.
Stuart, didn't you see the merge left arrows on the road? You could easily have foreseen that the other car was going to need to pull into the left lane and you could have given them the space to do so safely.
Most of the drivers in these clips are thinking they are still driving in Lahore or new Delhi and have no idea how to drive on our roads.
