Truck looks great. Now that you have been driving it for a few years. Have you had any clearance problems when you stuff the tire into the well while turning like in an off road situation.
Great video. I just bought a 2016 ram hemi SLT and looking to do a similar set up. What did you do about the track bar since the whole recall in welding deal?
Yes I actually used a longer bolt and a 2 - 1" spacers where the hose bolts to the axle. Forgot about that. Normal driving was fine with stock shocks but at full droop it was tighter on the hoses than I wanted it to be.
u went cheap for a leveling kit should of bout carli 2.5" leveling kit u get 2 spring coils and 4 fox shocks specifically tuned for ram 2500 the ride is awesome
mcarroll42 yes I do. When steering to lock there is only about a half inch of clearance to the rear wheel well. Also, an adjustable track bar is necessary.I had to add one.
Part 1 - ua-cam.com/video/LqnFsvjZNmo/v-deo.html Part 2 - ua-cam.com/video/ugwql8s695M/v-deo.html Some visual changes i did to the front of that truck. About 6 months after i did this, it started to peel on the bumper so i used a scotchbrite on an angle grinder to take it all off and really roughed the surface. I then used rusty metal primer and reapplied bed armor. No more issues after that. I have since sold this truck though.
Am in the middle right now on a 2018 dodge 2500. What is the best way to get that bracket up into the top of the coil tower so u can attach the spacer on the drivers side since the abs module is right there.
Question for you,I got 2016 power wagon, and I'm looking into installing 1.5 inch leveling kit. Will that screw up by alignment, geometry, feel of the ride?. I put 35 bf Goodrich on it,and it rubs on turns, that extra inch or so would be sweet
Artur B the steering wheel will be off center. And the caster angle is affected. A 1.5" should be just what you need. Take it to a good alignment shop after and they can dial in the steering wheel straight. Also get the shock extensions if you are keeping stock shocks. Or you can buy longer shocks. I recommend bilstein.
I like that Ram moved the front shock mounting points! I have a 2012 2500 and it's a pain to change them since they are inside the shocks. Did you have any problem with rubbing, lock to lock?
BG pretty much all work is easy on this truck. I love it. It did not rub anywhere steering lock to lock or in/out of driveways, bumps etc. 0 offset and 35s on a 2" leveling kit works great!
I also have a 2012. There is a company that makes a bracket to move the shock outside of the coil spring or you can leave the one in the factory location and put dual shocks on the front. I chose to take the factory one out and just run the single fox 2.0 outside of the spring. It actually does help the ride quality a little. The biggest notice in ride for me was instead of using a leveling spacers I went with Thuren 3" lift coils with Stryker off-road high clearance control arms that are a little longer than stock to push the front axle forward to its factory location. Truck rides great
Omar Suarez why would you not be worried about rotating mass? It robs power, affects braking, and changes the way the truck drives. If it negatively affects fuel economy I don't want it on my truck. I don't think a Prius will tow my 10klb camper 8klb car hauler or the occasional 14klb dump trailer. Probably not the best suggestion..

I sold the truck awhile ago. I never had issues with it though. I even had it at the sand dunes where the suspension cycled quite a bit.
Great video. I just bought a 2016 ram hemi SLT and looking to do a similar set up. What did you do about the track bar since the whole recall in welding deal?
I replaced the track bar with an adjustable unit to recenter the axle. The truck had already had the recall performed
How do you like the tires? Any vibration at highway speed or road noise?
Thanks for the video I just bought a new 2018 2500 and am looking to do the same thing.
Looks really good. Nice work.
What kind of level kit is this
Did you end up having issues with the brake line length? Did you make a bracket?
Yes I actually used a longer bolt and a 2 - 1" spacers where the hose bolts to the axle. Forgot about that. Normal driving was fine with stock shocks but at full droop it was tighter on the hoses than I wanted it to be.
Did our truck last week .What we did was just remove caliper and hang it
Nice work by the way truck looks awesome as should b
Cool. Thanks for the video. How did you center your steering wheel? I haven't considered that.
I bought an adjustable track bar to first center the axle then adjusted the drag link to center.
I had to put a new track bar on mine to get the axle back centered
u went cheap for a leveling kit should of bout carli 2.5" leveling kit u get 2 spring coils and 4 fox shocks specifically tuned for ram 2500 the ride is awesome
Great video. Do you think the leveling kit was necessary to clear the 35s?
mcarroll42 yes I do. When steering to lock there is only about a half inch of clearance to the rear wheel well. Also, an adjustable track bar is necessary.I had to add one.
What's the black piece on your front bumper??

How much did the ride change from stock

I don't remember having any trouble with that. Sorry I couldn't have been more help
What kit did you use? I noticed you said it required no drilling. I really dont want to drill holes in my shock towers.
John Owens traxda makes a really nice kit for these trucks.
Does your tires rub anywhere on full lock?
No rub at all
I don't think you did enough research on the wheel offset. Plenty of guys are putting +18 and +20 offset on these trucks!
In 17" diameter though?
@@newportgarage9108 Oh Sorry but I have to ask, why 17"
I like the way 17s look as well as having much more variety in tire sizes.
What leveling kit did you use ?
Try out the rough country ones, they are decent.
Are the tires E rated?
Yes E range but max 65psi
All you guys who go to aftermarket wheels..I'll buy your stock ones.
I sold them when I sold the truck. Sorry

@@williamroberts8550Do you know the name of the company?
@@user-ym9wb2mk5e RI-Fab out of Bonners ferry Idaho. Mine came raw metal and I just had them powder coated to match my truck.
Excellent, thanks for the info!!!
Dude you drive a Cummins and your were worried about 200# wheels and fuel mileage?! Trade it in, get you a Prius.
