      Nope it's a common problem! We ended up going with the 2nd ring spacer on the bottom and I'd recommend Zoneoffroads Upper control arms in addition it really completes the front end and you won't have any issues with UCA geometry issues!

    Thought for sure this video would be about the stock upper ball joint not being able to stay put with the lift and needing aftermarket UCA’s. You can see the upper joint move in the UCA when it was knocked free from the spindle. It was still crooked put back together later. That thing will creak rocking back and forth and eventually push through the stock UCA. Spacer lifts are fine. Stock Ram UCA’s with any lift is no bueno.

I don't even due the alignment in 3 yrs and my tires thread is even. You probably didn't have any issues because you didn't have larger/heavier tires. Once you have those on, the front end of the truck will have a lot more strain with the extra weight added. Definitely upgrade UCA's and other suspension components if needed

    • @RatchetWrenches
      @RatchetWrenches  2 роки тому +1

      We haven’t but that’s very common, usually after you fool with suspension parts even if torqued you’ll have to adjust them roughly 1000 miles later. It’s just breaking in the product and the screws back out a tad bit. I suggest when you retighten them to put on some blue thread locker just as another precaution!

      I think you said 33s for tires could you fit 35s?
      Also you said front looks a bit higher now. I'm wondering did you measure your rake beforehand? If front went up 2.75" and rear went up 1" that's means there was a + 1.75" gain in front. From nearly everything I have ever read or heard the stock truck is 2-2.5" lower in the front. If so shouldn't it still be higher in back by at least .25"?

    • @RatchetWrenches
      @RatchetWrenches  Рік тому +1

      I'm not sure but I would imagine if you lower the rear to the ride height in the front it would be ok. The main reason leveling the front causes more wear overtime is because the front suspension is strained from being up higher with the heavy engine and it changes the geometry and driving angles of everything

    You guys put the height ring wrong tho ,with eibach spring alone capable of lifting the truck 2.75 inches but if you are using original springs then you have to put the ring all the way up,
    how truck feels on larger bumps ?
    becuase i put 35 x12.5 with this kit with original spring and when i hit bumps at higher speed the truck wants to go side ways like the rebound is slow for a bit.

    So if you are interested in installing a leveling kit solely for looks and appearance but don't want to do it because it may ruin the vehicle, try looking at the whole entire truck, including the cabin/rooftop area multiple times before you get it installed and spend the money to get one. It's what I did and it actually looks amazing to me. It may take practice to let it all sink in. I don't know if anyone agrees with that. Sometimes, I think we look at the middle to bottom body of the truck only and forget about the top. I also think cool looking tires especially wheels can be distracting and grabs a lot of attention from the driver for an attractive look to the vehicle, probably more than what you see at the top.
    Think of convertibles where the rag top folds down and all you can see is the body, wheels, and tires.
    I could be wrong but trying to make things better for those who wish to install leveling kits to make their vehicle look more aesthetically pleasing but also don't want to put a leveling kit to wear out suspensions, the tires faster, etc. Spending the money on one can hurt especially if it hasn't been installed the right way. Try talking to a professional mechanic who can level your truck the right way along with an alignment done at least.
